Hazelwood is undoubtedly having good start of the year as first Pakistan and now West Indies gave him good number of wickets. Now most chances we will have an inning win, or we will have just few runs for Australia to chase down to win this first test match of the series.

Australians are also having not good day with batting, but Travis Head gave them thumbing lead with another century, and they were able to touch figure of 288 which gives them 95 runs healthy match winning lead in this match. I did not have courage to bet on West Indies on this match and also odds for Australia was also not attractive; really a dead rubber even for gamblers as well.

You are absolutely right because from 2023 world cup Australia team is performing great. Australia team is proving themselves that they are the current champion in every performance. Australia won the Test series with a brilliant performance against Pakistan. Keeping his consistency, Australia team is doing great performance against West Indies. The way they performed against the West Indies in both bowling and batting, it seems that Australia is going to defeat the West Indies by a huge margin like Pakistan in the Test series. Australia's batting line is very good and the way they are batting and bowling against the current West Indies, Australia played a really commendable game.

You have to understand the context behind Clarke's statement. This BGT series came after Sand Paper Gate where everyone including Australian fans were shitting on the Aussie cricket team due to their behaviour in South Africa. So under Tim Paine, these guys for a change played a nice boys role, Which meant no sledging or Pack of Wolf tactics (they got this name under Ponting and Clarke).

On this tour, Indian batters were wearing down their celebrated bowling attack of Starc-Cummins-Hazelwood-Lyon and Indian bowlers were outbowling them in every way. The final scoreline was 2-1 in favor of the Indians but it would've been 3-1 if not for rain, it came to assist Australia in Sydney when they were asked to Follow-on and were behind 300 runs.

Another point regarding IPL. I've said this many times, The IPL franchises will line up and start a bidding war for any player, given they are performing against India or better thrashing them in a contest.

West Indies vs Australia Test Series 1st Test match two days play has come to an end, tomorrow maybe we will see the result of this match. Just 2 days of play is over, still 3 days left there is no chance of a draw in this match. West Indies were all out for 188 in the first innings. Australia were all out for 283 in their first innings. Australia batted brilliantly in the first innings to lead by 95 runs. West Indies lost 6 important wickets for 73 runs after going down to bat with a lead of 95 runs given by Australia. West Indies trail by 22 runs, looks like they will lose a few more wickets to make it 22 runs. West Indies can be all out quickly tomorrow. I don't think West Indies can give 100+ target. Australia is going to win this test match easily.

At the end of second day play, we have West Indies on 73 for 6, and they are still trailing by 22 runs which mean if they want to bring Australia on batting again they have to score 23 runs which are possible because in first inning we have some good runs from their tail enders so we can expect some resistance again with Joshua Da Silva is still on crease with his 17 runs.

I was looking for good inning from legendary Chanderpaul's son's inning, but sadly we have no contribution from Tagenarine Chanderpaul he faced 26 balls and have only 6 runs in both innings with one duck his performance is not near his father and I have feeling most chances his career will be also not like his father too long with this performance and current West Indian test condition.

Hazelwood is in full form and already has taken 8 wickets in both innings. Another 2 and he will be in the record books, he has already done the damage to WI. They are struggling to chase the lead and still trail by 22 runs. It looks like it will be an innings defeat for them as not much batting is left. They have already lost their to order and with 6 wickets gone, it is not possible for them to make a comeback. I feel that this match will be over on the 3rd day itself.

What happened to Australia? Against a weak West Indies team they were unable to bat. Not a big lead for the West Indies team still they are struggling again with the bat. They have lost 4 wickets in quick intervals and are now trailing by 67 runs. Hazelwood is again doing the damage, he has already taken 4 wickets and looks like a 5 wicket haul in the making today. In the first innings, he had taken 4 wickets with Pat Cummins, today the captain has not taken any wickets but might get a few soon.
