Ron Jeremy - Legend? You do realise that you just praised a pathetic rapist and sex offender, don't you? Think!
You didn't understood the sarcasm. I just said KL Rahul in cricket is as good as Ron Jeremy in porn. What I meant is that both of them are useless in their domains. And I didn't knew about the criminal activities. But always wondered why someone so ugly got so famous in porn. Anyway, the debate has ended now, with Akash Chopra receiving egg in his face and searching for the next individual who will make him famous. At least one good thing has come out of the entire debate. The selectors didn't had any option other than to drop Rahul.

Really did not want to say something about this.
I feel like whatever I am going to say is going to turn out to be useless.
In my personal opinion, these things are just useless.

If we give this situation more validation, the people who caused this in the first place are going to get more popularity.
And I don't think it matters to them if the popularity is positive or negative.

This is turning very ugly, i would blame BCCI for this. BCCI in general don't like criticism and hardly hold any public debate on virtually any topic related to cricket. They even penalize pundits or commentators when they bring up any valid points. That's why commentators turn into cheerleaders and also we get mediocre selectors.

KL Rahul's exclusion from the team should be handled by the selection committee after Bangladesh series but they didn't do anything and now the knives are out from both sides.

Mind you this ugly interaction happened at the time when India are 2-0 up in the series. You can imagine what could've happened if the scoreline was reversed.

I was hoping for a live debate between these two on Youtube. That would have opened up many hidden secrets of BCCI and players on an open public forum. It was supposed to turn ugly as every player has his own fanbase and those stupid comments on his Twitter timeline are from the fans of KL Rahul and Chopra.

The worst part was when Akash Chopra started questioning the intention of Venkatesh Prasad and labeling him on this Youtube video. You need to read those comments on this video. My favourite is this one:

Akash Chopra and Kl Rahul.. legend openers for India ever 😌😂
Haha comments were really nice, i'd say enlightened  Grin for ex: BKL, those who understand Hindi would get this lol

Telling you KL is enjoying nice backing due to his franchise as it's directly related to the branding and some want to turn KL Rahul into a new brand just like Kohli but the former keep failing.

BCCI need to get into this issue and come up with a conclusion to avoid such conversation that openup more incidents that have taken place in the past which is not good for the cricket.
This kind of crap usually happens behind closed doors which is why I am surprised to see these guys slugging it out in public. BCCI are probably fuming like crazy because of all this drama.

Akash Chopra and KL Rahul are like Ron Jeremy and John Holmes of Indian cricket. They are legends in their own right.

LOL.. thanks for posting the link to the YouTube video and pasting the top comment. Akash Chopra and KL Rahul are like Ron Jeremy and John Holmes of Indian cricket. They are legends in their own right. Indian cricket would be a lot boring and colorless without these two. BTW, who is Venky? As per Akash Chopra fans, he is some ordinary pacer who played the role of side-kick to Javagal Srinath during his prime. I would love to see the reaction from Rahul on this debate. He may have secretly requested Akash Chopra to just shut up. Rather than keeping it under the carpet, Chopra gave it a lot of negative publicity and now even those who were unaware of the selection issue previously are coming out against Rahul.  Grin

Not sure if Parasite is the right word. I don't agree with Akash Chopra but still.

IMO If name calling is a final option then we'll have no room for discussion. We need more debates like this, this will wake up the authorities at least we can hope.

My take on this is - Venkatesh Prasad raised a genuine concern. His tweet became viral. Now Akash Chopra wanted a slice of this popularity, and tried to provoke Prasad. He has no soft-corner for KL Rahul, but got involved in to this debate just to get some publicity. Akash Chopra reminded me of this parasite plant called "Loranthus", which is usually found in mango trees. And that is the reason why I called him a parasite.  Grin

Anyway, Akash was disappointed with Prasad's response. He was hoping that Prasad would take the bait, but the latter behaved in a very mature way and close the debate without getting involved in it any further.

We are all the pieces of what we remember.
I never liked Akash Chopra because of his cringe commentary and weird style. I also never knew he played and now he made a fool of himself by questioning Venkatesh Prasad and trying to create a false narrative about him on Youtube. The fool got what he deserved Grin
Parasites such as Akash Chopra goes by the logic of "any sort of publicity is good publicity". They try to provoke famous people and at least a few would lose their cool and react. And then these parasites use that for their own publicity. Venkatesh Prasad, despite being a fast bowler is known as a thorough gentleman (unlike the NCR baboons like Kohli and Chopra). Good for him that he didn't got trapped with the urge to respond. He reacted in a calm manner and I guess Akash Chopra got what he deserved. This guy doesn't have any shame.

Sometimes I think people like Akash Chopra want to stay in the spotlight doesn't matter how. That's why they do a lot of bullshittery like this. This was absolutely uncalled for. And I am really happy that Venkatesh was able to reply in a manner that didn't make him the aggressor and also slapped Akash on the face. It is very easy to fall into the trap of people in the world of social media. And I am sure he did a great thing by avoiding having a face to face chat with Akash because that would have been also full of traps.

Captaincy tactics from Pat Cummins was very poor during the first two test matches. I would say that the Australians would perform better, if they are led by someone with a positive and aggressive mindset, such as Steve Smith. And regarding David Warner, his career has almost finished. It will be better for him to retire from the test format, and concentrate on the franchise T20 leagues. Hopefully with Cummins out of the third test, Scott Boland will get another chance. He was impressive during the first test match, but wasn't given a lot of overs against the Indian batsmen.
In first 12 test matches as captain he has no competition as won 8 and lost just one with three draws this all happen at home with few were against the weakest sides mean things were completely in his favor but now first real test, and he is completely failed with no strategy working, and they are completely down and out against India with I was having prediction India will win this series by 4 - 0 and things are going into this way bowlers are doing some better stuff, but batting is having nothing even they have few world top class batsmen.

But, they completely fail to give any impression now Warner and Cummins both out of the next match which mean they are having no positive change for the better result and Indian dominance is going at the top of the game at home, but we will watch how they will play in final at The Oval.

Akash Chopra trying to cash the Prasad & Rahul controversy on Youtube. Got served what he deserved! Grin When questioned by Venkatesh Prasad on Twitter? He asked him to have a debate on his Youtube channel. To which Prasad replied:

Then later on he got served his Test stats from one of the bowling legends of Indian cricket.

The conversation have turned ugly. To the tweet made by Venkatesh Prasad we were able to see worst comments. I went through the tweet and in an comment it was mentioned Venkatesh Prasad too entered the team through recommendation and for that reason he isn't able to make comment on Rahul. In another comment, it is said someone might've been recommended by Venkatesh Prasad and the selection committee might not taken into consideration.

BCCI need to get into this issue and come up with a conclusion to avoid such conversation that openup more incidents that have taken place in the past which is not good for the cricket.

I am not sure what is happening with the Australian side. New news coming out from the Australian dressing room is that Pat Cummins will be returning home due to a Family medical emergency. I was reading this article wherein they mentioned that almost half of the Australian side has returned home after losing two test matches against India.

This might have happened because of Venkatesh Prasad. KL Rahul is no longer the VC of Indian test team. BCCI has not announced a new name so assuming India would play the last two test matches without a VC. I am also assuming that Shubhman Gill might replace him in the third test. All favouritism has now back fiered. It took some time but it is good sign on how BCCI would be treating players in the future who take their job for granted.

Source

At least one of the poor performers have been kicked out of the team and that is good news for everyone. KL Rahul will be out of the test squad for at least a couple of years now. Now I guess Cheteshwar Pujara is going to be the next. Anyway he is already 35 years and the BCCI should be ideally looking towards younger players to replace him. Since 2020, he hasn't been scoring runs and persisting with him in the squad is so unfair to the other players. There are a few more in the squad, but for me KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara were the most undeserving members.

Finally some step by Indian management as KL Rahul was not performing from a long time and he has been scoring least of runs in previous matches . Shubman Gill,  Axar Patel,  Ashwin there are many deserving ones in Indian team depending upon good performances.

Considering his struggle against Indian bowlers, it's hardly a bad news for Australia. In fact, I would say it's bad news for India as he was a walking wicket.

Head did okay so it makes sense that he'll continue at the top with his attacking mindset. Green should be fit for the next match so this is good news for the Aussies.
I was thinking the same. Warner has been out of form lately and he is competing with Rahul these days when it comes to scoring the least amount of runs in every match. Both of them are way too inconsistent these days.

Head and Green aren't particular dangerous. I feel that Australia will put more emphasis on their spinners in the upcoming matches.
