India took full control of this test match now and can take their time to accumulate the runs needed for the win which I think is around 500 which then gives their bowlers enough time to bowl England out. India could actually bat all day on day 3 and give them 2 days to bowl England out but I think this match will be all over on day 4. What an amazing bowling performance by Ashwin, looks like his form has continued on from the Australian test series.

Shakib al Hassan to Bangladesh is what Virat Kohli is to India and Steve Smith is to Australia. Without him, the team will always be lacking morale and fighting spirit. There is not enough depth in the player pool for Bangladesh, to win matches against quality sides in the absence of Shakib. Anyway, Bangladesh should concentrate on their next assignment, which is going to be the tour of New Zealand.
Shakib Al Hasan might be their best player but to loose a match without his presence is not justifiable as they never had a huge total and they are playing in their home turf and to loose a game just shows how West Indies played with a new team and performed well just like India did in Australia. This is the first time they won in a long time in Asian conditions and the props should go to the entire team.

If Shakib Al Hasan or Mahmudullah Riad were in the squad then maybe the Bangladesh team would have been able to perform better. At least if Shakib was in the team, the result of the match could have changed. Also, the top order batsmen of Bangladesh were not successful except Tamim. If the top order batsmen are not able to play well, it is difficult to win the match

Does not look so if Bangladesh will be able to save the match. I am impressed by this young West Indies team.
Bonner, Mayers, Da Silva, Cornwall Warrican all showing their skills and class .
West Indies will have a lot of positivity and energy from this upcoming win.
Bangladesh also lost the second Test against the West Indies. They lost by just 17 runs. Bangladesh is good enough in ODI format. In the ODI format, they have the ability to fight against any strong team but in the Test format, they are still like a child. They need to be more mature. Players need to be diligent and increase their endurance.
This is true to say Current West Indies test team is far better team from the present Bangladesh team. They play such an good cricket in both tests. Due to poor selections and captain BAN lost by just 17 runs. Bangladesh were top choice yet failed severely. The way they lost it's not accepted, they have to work on it.

Ashwin is on fire. Looks like his fire from the India-Australia series continues to burn. This match is pretty much over at this point. Phenomenal comeback by India.

It is not 50%. It is more like 90%. If England was batting first, then we would have seen them with a similar advantage now. They could have made at least 250-260, if they had won the toss and elected to bat first.
50% makes sense while 90% does not. Who knows what would have happened if England won the toss and elected to bat? Expecting them to perform well just because of 1 win in the previous test makes sense, but it is possible for them to misfire.

The recent India-Australia series is a great example to validate what I stated.

Indian batsman delivered and when it came to bowling, Ashiwn led from the front and with his 5 wickets haul changed the game totally and got England all out in just 134 runs. Rohit might be again on his road to make century tomorrow and this game is now totally under India's control and should even win it easily on 4th day itself.  How many thinks here wining the toss is like winning 50% of the game?

They could have made at least 250-260, if they had won the toss and elected to bat first. But fortunately for India, Kohli won the toss and that helped them a great deal. And the Indian bowlers performed exceptionally well, after the batsmen managed to put such a good total. Nice to see Rohit Sharma back to form in test format, after a rough patch.

If the West Indies team is so much better, then why did they lose the ODI series 0-3? And they lost all of these matches by a very considerable margin. What helped West Indies in the test series was the absence of Shakib al Hassan in the second match and his injury during the first match. I really don't think that if he was present in the test squad for the second match then West Indies could have swept the test series.

It was really really close... The last wicket partnership between Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Abu Jayed Chowdhury took them so close to the finishing mark, but in the end Jomel Warrican got the crucial wicket of Miraz before he could finish the job. When Nayeem Hasan got out, Bangladesh still needed some 42 runs. But Miraz was scoring runs at such an ease and I thought that he may be able to score the remaining runs.

Right time for Queen to return the Kohinoor as a protest to such treachery act from the Indians.   Wink

Carnage, absolute carnage. They are butchering the visitors, that's not how you treat your guest.

It is absolutely rude to prepare wickets like this for visitors,

After such horrible performance in the ODI series, West Indies did well to win the test series. The West Indies debutants were not necessarily young. For example, Nkrumah Bonner is 32 years old and Kyle Mayers is 28. But that doesn't matter much as long as they are winning matches for West Indies. They can't be overdependent on players such as Pollard and Russell for too long. West Indies were the champions in test format for a long time and now they are a shadow of their former self. Hopefully these new players can once again make West Indies one of the top test sides.

Bangladesh still need 88 runs to win the match and they lost 5 wickets and things are getting real tight, expecting Bangladesh to win but it is going to be a tight match as one more wicket and their tail is exposed.

I was not watching this match but all of sudden got my attention here. The situation seems very tense for both teams and its anyone's game from here. A lot depends upon Liton Das as he is the only last recognized batsmen to take Bangladesh home. Also they have home ground pressure also.

Looks like i messed up big time waging a bet. Liton Das lost his wicket and West Indies now need just 3 more wickets to win the match. I thought Bangladesh are a good side while playing in their home ground as they defeated major teams and with a team filled with youngsters West Indies are showing they could battle and the odds for them were over 3.6 and i somehow thought Bangladesh could win it and now i had to cash out with a huge loss  Undecided.

It is absolutely rude to prepare wickets like this for visitors, England need to score 130 runs to avoid the follow on
If that is the case England somehow avoided the follow on as they are all out for 134 runs and now India need to score some runs and they already have a lead of 195 runs and even if India is able to score around 200 runs in the second innings they are safe to win the match easily and since the pitch is really difficult to bat it is going to be a challenge for anyone to bat.

The odds are not that great to be but with the win India will level the series as there is no way they are going to loose the match with 195 runs lead.

England 8 down and still trailing by 223 runs. What's the follow on requirement? Although i doubt if Virat & co want to bat on 4th inning here.
It is absolutely rude to prepare wickets like this for visitors, England need to score 130 runs to avoid the follow on and considering they already lost 8 wickets for 106 runs they need to somehow manage to score 24 runs but i doubt India will enforce the follow on as it will be difficult to bat in the final two days considering how the pitch is helping the spinners.

Both Rohit and Rahane have contributed more than half of the runs on the scoreboard.
Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant scored 286 runs out of the 329 runs put on the board which means the rest of the batsman only contributed 43 runs which is really disappointing. India needs to play as team if they want to be competitive against top teams rather than relying on individual performance.

Joe Root is in form and for England to win the match his contribution is important and the match depends upon how England responds in their first innings and how the Indian bowlers dominate the match.
No need to worry, Indian bowlers stikes early and already picked 4 wickets for just 39 runs, importantly the wicket of Joe Root.England still trails by 290 so its a great comeback from the first test match even though there are some disappointments in the Indian batting lineup.

Yes, it is certainly a great come back for the Indian side. Now they need to maintain the pressure on the English batsmen. The English side has already lost six wicket thanks to Ashwin.
