I wish Smiley

It will take some time though.
Let's enjoy being part of this amazing thing as long as it lasts!
Would you sell Bitcoin if the price of Bitcoin gets up to $50,000 or would you just try to hold the coin till it gets up to a million dollars or something?
I would hold my coins once the price of Bitcoin went up to around $50,000 because the price is only going to get larger since Bitcoin would be all over the news and there would be a bunch of new money pouring into Bitcoin.
Being a user of the bitcoin I know some of the features of the bitcoin and in which one of the most common one is that it is not predictable because we never know what can happen to the bitcoin even in the next few hours.

It is always at a high risk so it is better to sell it at that price rather than holding it and if something wrong happens and then you are not able to get even that for it.

That would be cool but do not forget the staggering fees. I think that price is too far beyond expectation, maybe bitcoin will reach that price but will take a lot of years to complete.

There doesn't have to be high fees at all.   The more users, the more the NUMBER of fees scales EXPONENTIALLY... so the AMOUNT of fees can be low.  Get it ? Smiley

P.S.  Current high fees are ENTIRELY because of the 1mb blocksize.  You can thank your Blockstream/DCG/Bitfury cartel for that.  Read my letter and get it to miners worldwide.

I don't think bitcoin will ever rise up to 50000$, but if it does I'm totally selling it away.  For now I'll just hold
Thats right I think also the price of bitcoin at $50,000 is very impossible to happen. I think the maximum price of bitcoin 10k -20k dollars only and I think few years before its happen. $50,000 is not happen even you wait hundreds years. Even more people invest in bitcoin they did not reach that price unless billions of people using bitcoin maybe the price will be $100,000 but it is very impossible for sure.

if Bitcoin hit 50k, it's because people don't trust the bank.
so, yes ... when you don't have fund in bank, you MUST sell.

and guess what ?
it's a real market now ... a street market.
without central bank cheated value.

and early adopter like all bitcoin users, spend coins.

Yes, I hope the bitcoin will reach $ 50,000, if that happens I will not have to do anything, and it will be a dream come true, a dream of being a bitcoin millionaire

I think that is possible, but it is also close to impossible. $50000 is a high price, and if you think of the past prices of bitcoin, it reach $2000 after 8 whole years. It takes 8 whole years to reach $2000, following that pattern, we can get a bitcoin price of $50000 after 200 years, but hey, at least we have a chance right.

Let's be realistic here. We all love to see bitcoin price to peaked at $50000. But is this price really can be touch in the future? Looking at the historically price of bitcoin, it seems that its really impossible. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the price really touching it and I try to stay very positive. But $50000 is way to high a price to see bitcoin get it. I think $10000 is more likely to be touch anywhere in the future. If ever I'm proven wrong, then I'm with you guys, celebrating, popping champagne and enjoying like there is no tomorrow.
Pesky Pessimist!

Really...
Look at this:

16 million BTC
7.5 billion people on earth
$50k per BTC

50k*16 million = 800 billion

800 billion / 7.5 billion = ~$107 per person

If everyone owned $107 worth of Bitcoin, Bitcoin would be worth 50k!

I really wish your calculations were realistic but unfortunately they are not. Most people have never hold $107 worth of money in their hands during their entire life. Check out some facts here: https://www.dosomething.org/us/facts/11-facts-about-global-poverty

Quote
Nearly 1/2 of the world’s population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.25 a day.

Considering those facts I think it is more realistic to expect $25k. And I, for one, think that we'll see $25k in 5 years.

Yes, but the calculation makes a lot more sense when you figure that in the next 5-10 years the number of people in rich countries who have some bitcoin could be 1/10th of current world population. so 750 million "rich" bitcoin users. If you figure the average amount each of these users have in bitcoin is $1070, then the calculation comes out the same. Not to mention lets just say another few hundred million people from poor countries have some smaller amount of bitcoin. Plus the average bitcoin value per user for those in "rich countrys" will probably be a lot more than ~$1000 by then. Given this it is easy to see how bitcoin price could be well above $50k in the next 5-10 years and even well over $100k.

Personally I think $50k is a good target for 5 years from now. Possibly rising to $100-200k in the next 10 years.

Sure, bitcoin will be hit $50000, but now it is not in this time, within 10 years, definitely we will see bitcoin in a top place and may be bitcoin hit more than it.
But same that thing, bitcoin take time to reach in a topest price.
Now bitcoin have come on the race and now i am too curious to see when almost bitcoin holders become millionaires.

There are many BTC value rallies to come in upcoming years. Now when the price is far behind the $1,000 it's perfect time to push it a little bit further for as many newcomers as possible. I see some milestones in wider adoption of BTC worldwide. I would call it "trains":

- the first "train" is already gone. It was called BTC. This was train for early adopters, who acquired Bitcoins at the price of tens of $, or when mining was much more easier than it is now
- the second "train" is slowly starting right now and it is called mBTC (one thousandth of BTC). And its price is very nice at the moment cca $2.70 per 1 mBTC. It is very likely that this train will go the same way as the first train. And in few years we're gonna see the same scenario with mBTC as we saw with BTC since 2010.
- the third "train" would be for the masses and it will be called μBTC (one thousandth of mBTC). This would be the final one, when Bitcoin will become mainstream and majority of daily business transactions will be performed in μBTCs.

If bitcoin hits $50,000,i would sell some of it to buy essential goods as it is said that all shops would accept bitcoin as payment at that time. But i think that it would be year 2050 to reach that price.By that time, my age would be around 70,the retirement age and i would hold the remaining as savings for my older age so that i would not be dependent on any one for my needs.

Right now my total Bitcoin holdings amount to BTC0.00369, or less than $10 in today's exchange rate. But if the exchange rates increase to $50,000 per coin, then my holdings will be worth almost 20 times that much. But it is still a very small amount. I am seriously considering converting a part of my assets to Bitcoin. But before that, I need to analyze whether I can afford to take that much of a risk.

thats where you wrong bitcoin can reach 90k usd per bitcoin at 2050 and can even possibly reach 6k usd at the end of the year and lets hope it would actually reach 6k at the end of the year that would be soo nice
