My teams were just starting to recover with getting some RB's back and now Booby Trees going down for the season on every one of my teams is just the universe saying fuck you again!

My apologies Mr. trees I never expected you to be collateral damage in my ongoing war. Smiley

NFL experts, the Buffalo Bills are -12 on the road again versus another bad team, the Jets. Are the Bills deserving to be -12 after their upsetting loss against the Jaguars? I predict Bills will have the victory, however, will the beat the spread?

I believe that they are. They may have been struggling just a bit of late, but that certainly doesn’t make them a a bad team. The Jets on the other hand are a terrible team, despite having some recent success like beating the Bengals. I think that was a fluke more than anything.

Ugh god, just got the notification on my phone that Robert Woods is now out for the year after reading he tore his ACL in practice. Man, it’s one thing to tear it in a game, but in practice, that really freaking stings. Am the total point leader in my league but after losing Henry and now Woods, it’s safe to say my season is over in that league  Angry  Cry

The LA Rams signed Odell Beckham Jr to a one year deal worth 4.25 million, the Rams are going all-in this season, it seems they want to repeat the feat the Bucs did last year of winning the SB on their home stadium, however it is a risky bet, I have not taken a look at their cap but I can only guess their situation is going to be difficult next year, plus they have been giving away their first round picks to get good players now, so if they fail to win the SB during this year or the next then a long rebuilding process will follow with nothing to show for it.

So you've got Lamar as well huh Moon?

I do. Everyone has a bad night once in a while so I'm not particularly worried just yet. I appreciate all the games when he gave me 10+ points just on rushing yards. Even yesterday he squeaked out 15 points, which is more than e.g. Mahomes or Allen or Stafford (my backup QB) managed last week.

Oh yeah no question that he is above all other quarterbacks in regards to giving you upside when it comes to rushing yardage points.  The great thing about him, anytime he has a poor passing game, he almost always makes up for it to an extent with his running ability.  That there though shows his true ability or lack thereof in my opinion..if he didn't have that running ability, he wouldn't be nearly as good of a QB..which goes to show his long term career is likely limited.  Cam Newton is an example of this.  His rushing ability was unmatched but as he aged, and couldn't run like he used to being that he simply got too beat up doing so so often, his game fell off because his passing ability just wasn't that great.  I think Lamar is even lesser of a passer than Cam, so long term I just don't see him lasting as a great QB.  I could end up wrong of course.

That was the worst game I have ever seen Lamar Play!

He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn all game.

Ugh what an ugly game. He threw an interception in the last minute just to spite me.

Well, they're playing all of their remaining games up north, so no more "too hot" or "too muggy" excuses LOL.

So you've got Lamar as well huh Moon?  I am sooo freaking pissed off about this game last night.  I think it's funny that people have been calling Lamar an MVP candidate this year.  The truth is Lamar is a great player but not a super star.  When it comes down to facing great teams he's typically not very good and then he's got games like this versus the Dolphins that he absolutely shits the bed. In my bitcointalk league I started Lamar, Marquise Brown as well as Bateman (Chase is on Bye so I was desperate)..and of course both Lamar and Brown shit the bed so it absolutely crushed my chances for a W this week, all on Thursday night  Angry

The Panthers have signed Cam Newton, no this is not a recycled news from 2011, the Panthers have signed Cam for one year for 10 million with 4.5 million guaranteed, now this could be in part a PR move as the fans were not happy about how Cam was treated but I am not so sure this is going to help them a lot as Cam did not looked good at New England at all, but I guess they need to fill that spot in any way they could.

Yesterday, I really did not notice who my next opponent is going to be. I read the name then I immediately went to the waiver wire to replace the player that I have only claimed from the waiver wire from the other day hehehe.
You are doing a better job than I am, if I am not mistaken I dropped Carr 3 times and just played him once.

$10 million for 1 year only for a PR move might be too expensive, I reckon. This is not similar to the Jaguars’ PR move for signing Tim Tebow for only 1% of what the Panthers are paying for Covid Cam. Is there someone from Ron Rivera’s coaching staff who stayed in Carolina?

I'm so not looking forward to this week's matchup with wheelz1200, i'm down 4 running backs and forced to stream Singletary as RB1. rip

Yeah, bills facing the Jets but I still think I'd roll with Freeman over Singletary.

Yeah I agree with you here on this one. I don’t think you can trust the Bills running backs what so ever. As much as I don’t think Freeman is really any good, the offense is pretty explosive and he certainly seems to be their number one pass catching back which certainly helps out his fantasy upside. Though Bell and or Williams could just as easily come in and steal touches..that backfield is a bit of a cluster.

Well this didn't age to well, Singletary will probably ball out now.

The Panthers have signed Cam Newton

Is he starting this week? I'm kinda rooting for him to get benched in 3rd quarter in favor of PJ Walker.

10 million??? what are they retarded? The Pats had him for the league Min and booted him. Lol

Yeah, Carr is a hot mess at times and not dependable at all, I'd take Cousins over him any day.
Actually I have a few times. Lol

Honestly until Tom Brady is out of the league, his team no matter which one he is on is the favorite.  Kills me to say it but it's true.  Tell me a team that will be favorites in the playoffs over them?  Not a chance.  Vegas and betting money will come in hard on playoff Brady and squad.  Thinking about dropping a sb bet now on the bucs actually.

Well if Tom Brady keeps this level of talent on his offense, then yeah I would probably agree with you on that.  I mean is there any question that this receiving core is the best one ever assembled? But of course if we are talking about this year, where he has all that talent, I would certainly agree that they are the favorites.  I do think others could take them down, any given Sunday right.
I think we can all agree the Bucs offense is not only loaded but all-time loaded, and assuming Brady retires at the end of the next season, not a given anymore as he has joked about playing until he is fifty, then it is safe to assume the Bucs will be able to keep that level of talent around him, the offense right now is not the problem with the Bucs but their secondary and all the injuries they have, if their defense could at least reach mediocre level then they will be the SB favorites once again even if they have to go on the road during the playoffs.

Christian McCalfrey aka 0.5 calf strain aka Rhuled out is finally back, even on a pitch count he should put some good numbers. Psychotics team is now officially in the playoff hunt.  Grin   (let's hope dj moore gets some open 1v1 looks today...fingers crossed).

Well Sam Darnold is on IR and apparently his backup is an interception machine so Moore and CMC downgraded big time.

I might sit Moore this week if Antonio Brown is available to play (which is unlikely at this point). Not sure what happened to Darnold, he and the Panthers offense looked fantastic early in the season, but the last 4-5 games have been a disaster. I don't how much of a downgrade PJ Walker will be, after all, he is XFL passing touchdowns leader (2020)Grin

Ready for the "juice"?

"P.J. Walker wants to bring the "juice" to offense"

source: https://www.panthers.com/news/p-j-walker-wants-to-bring-the-juice-to-offense
Quote
Walker started one game for the Panthers last season against the Lions, and won [1]. But he said Wednesday he wants to stay in the mindset he adopted when he was playing for the Houston Roughnecks the spring before.

"I'm going to just revert back to when I played in the XFL, to be honest," Walker said. "I had a lot of fun, enjoyed the moment. I'm extremely excited, but when I go out there, I want to stay extremely excited, because the guys around me need that energy, need that juice, and I want to bring it on Sunday.

[1] DJ Moore stats in that game: 7 receptions for 127 yards...hmm not bad
