My condolences to whomever in your guys league has Derrick Henry.  Sitting at my work desk yesterday morning and having breaking news pop up on my screen was like being stabbed in the heart lol.  Okay maybe not that extreme but that's a death blow essentially for someone in a 12 man team.  My team was stacked but a bit short on RBs, now this kills me.  Also lost Calvin Ridley over the weekend and that quite hurts too  Cry

It's fine, just grab Adrian Peterson. At this rate maybe OJ will come back too.

LOL.  Peterson is the second best running back I've ever seen ( behind Barry Sanders ) but I do believe his days are done.  I mean if he had anything left in the tank, I would imagine someone else would have already picked him up.  I am just curious how much action he'll get vs the other running backs already on the team like McNichols.  I guess we shall see.
standings.

AP replacing Henry's stats isn't gonna happen unfortunately.  No one will.
With that being said giant gut wrencher there last night.  Giants lose by a field goal all the time.  I don't think I can watch another game this year so long as the game is under 7 points.  They need to learn how to start winning close games. 😡

Damn that was way too close. Good game. I'm lucky to win it with so many screw ups - Edmonds/Conner/Pittman/Booker on the bench outperformed my starters, the only good choice I made was to play Goedert instead of Schultz. I did however trick you with Rams D/ST Wink

Prior to Monday night, Gore had played five snaps this season and had never registered an NFL carry. Darrel Williams narrowly out-carried Gore 13-11, and it was Gore who found the end zone on a three-yard run in the second quarter

unless Kelce goes the wrong way several times you have won this game.

Looks like the only reasonably close match for today is me vs Heuristic. Fingers crossed that Chiefs collapse again.

Chiefs gotta clean up those turnovers and it starts with the run game, Darrel Williams will get plenty of touches today. 5-3, is still okay?  Grin

Edit 2: did anyone watched the Bengals vs Jets game? how did the Bengals lost that game while playing against a backup QB?
The aforementioned backup QB was throwing AND catching TDs (well, a 2-pointer but still), that's how. Granted I only watched the end of it so I'm an unreliable witness Smiley

Saints (with a backup QB too) were beating Bucs until a safety call was overturned and Brady turned it into 7 points.

Edit: Saints did win after all, so backup QBs are obviously much better than the famous guys. #science
It seems no one has explained those backups how the NFL works, they are supposed to suck so badly that teams have no option but to give QBs mountains of money just to get average performance out of them, if the backups begin to perform well this breaks their monopoly and now they will have to earn it as everyone else. Smiley

I have a theory on this, anyone can be a QB1 when the refs refuse to allow the defense to tackle them.

I highly doubt Williams will put up 16 points but if nothing else we have had a really good match!

GG though, less than 2 pts from Mike Williams who you traded for last week, 0 from E. Sanders, i mean that's tough.
Everyone under-performed except the Kicker however the one that threw a wrench to my plans was Ridley, it seems he is going through some difficult times on his personal life and this was the second time he was out for that reason, this forced me 10 minutes before the game to decide between Sanders and Gordon, I was about to pick Gordon but at the end I decided in favor of Sanders as the Bills were playing against the Dolphins, so it was a mistake on my part, so unless Kelce goes the wrong way several times you have won this game.

I have a really difficult matchup against nutildah in week 9, took a real beating losing by 50pts the last time we squared off, D. Henry went for over 40 in that week, but he might be done for the year:

This is terrible, I really wanted Henry to break Dickerson’s record, Dickerson is really smug about that record when OJ Simpson broke the 2000 yards mark in only 14 games and he needed 16, so if Henry broke it on 17 games Dickerson will have no way to complain as his ‘accomplishment’ was obtained the same way.

Burrow threw an interception in their own 20 with less than 5 minutes left in the game while 5 points up. It was some stupid ass screen play, they should have just run it run the clock, horrible call. Aside from that, they were just too cute the entire game, thinking the Jets would beat themselves as they always do. The Bengals were my Week 8 eliminator pick, so i guess that's over now.

backup quarterback Cooper Rush

There you go, another proof. Also the Seahawks.

Only the Texans failed to take advantage of this new science.

I caught my self doing something unprecedented, and completely out of character last night.  It's official; snowballs persist in hades, porcine critters have taken flight, and I rooted for the Cowgirls.  Well, their backup quarterback, Cooper Rush who had his first start after 4 years in the league.  And Amari Cooper, but you probably already knew that.  More science.

I have made a bet on the Cowboys when the spread was -3 very early on the week because I was scared it would be -7 very quickly. Why did the Cowboys made it appear for the whole week that they were optimistic on Dak Prescott’s condition? I speculate that they might be hiding something. Prescott’s calf injury might be more serious.

Seriously, i need Teddy Bridgewater to not suck today against the FalconsWFT' trash pass defense. I've been holding onto Jeudy for a long time, he was meant to be my trusty WR2, and he's finally going to play. I'm glad the Broncos didn't rush his return, dude has been training for more than two weeks now. 5/70/1, pretty please!
At this rate you are not going to need him at all, you are outscoring my team by 12 points and there is a full half of action yet to play, I will need my best players to play great just to have a chance, and if anyone has a bad game it is game over for me, the one I am the most worried about is Zeke, he is healthy but if Dak does not play then his production will be significantly affected.

I'm putting the rest of my gambling balance (for now) into Pure Science this time, everything else cast aside.

Lol, I was thinking it was a good week to throw caution to the wind, and blow my wad on multi-bet for all thirteen Sunday games.

I root for Tua, just like I rooted for Marcus Mariota (and rooted for him for his 3 plays this season).

I like Mariota also, he was a big deal at UofO when my oldest daughter started there.  I really expected a more prolific career for him, it's sad to see him playing second fiddle to Carr of all people.

49ers ml; 49ers total points O20.5 @2.00

I'm staying away from this one, too much emotional involvement for me.  The 9ers have been disappointing the last three weeks, and you know what they say about cornered Bears, lol.  The 3-point loss to the packers was one thing, but then dropping two divisional games followed by that ugly loss to the Colts has deflated my enthusiasm for this season.  Hopefully they can turn things around and salvage a wildcard spot.  This would be a great week to start.

As the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure, i've been picking every injured player off the waiver wire. My bench is now stacked with guys who are either on IR or OUT. I can't wait till Week 12 when everyone is healthy and ready to play, but my record is 4-7. lol

I've cooked a few losing bets as well:

Chubb Anytime Score; D. Johnson 5+ receptions @2.10
Z. Moss Anytime Score; Bills total points O23.5 @2.30
49ers ml; 49ers total points O20.5 @2.00

In doing so I needn't look further than the first game tomorrow, Dolphins/Bills. As a Hawaii person I root for Tua, just like I rooted for Marcus Mariota (and rooted for him for his 3 plays this season). But crunching the numbers via my patented process results in a clear cover for the Bills.

AJ Green hahahaha. I might drop him and the injured tight end Robert Tonyan. I added Green only this week for my bench. Similar to the cryptospace market, this might be the beginning of the dump for the Arizona Cardinals against the spread.

@DirewolfM14. It was a very good game for Aaron Jones.

I'm kind of surprised that anyone would be using AJ Green inside of an 8 man league to be honest.  I wish I was a part of your guys league so I could see everyones team, all the moves everyone has been making etc.

Yeah Aaron Jones has himself a very solid game.  That final TD they took away burned though! I don't know how they found that as conclusive evidence that he did NOT make it in.  None of the camera angles the game had seemed to show with out a shadow of doubt that he DIDNT get in.  Oh well, can't be too upset I suppose.

You would certainly laugh at my record on the waiver wire if you were part of the league. I claim a player then I have him the next day only to drop him again for another player hehehehe. I think I have been making 2 or 3 claims a week since the beginning of the season hehehehe.
