Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
The Panthers have signed Cam Newton, no this is not a recycled news from 2011, the Panthers have signed Cam for one year for 10 million with 4.5 million guaranteed, now this could be in part a PR move as the fans were not happy about how Cam was treated but I am not so sure this is going to help them a lot as Cam did not looked good at New England at all, but I guess they need to fill that spot in any way they could.

https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-panthers-to-meet-with-qb-cam-newton-discuss-possible-reunion-160951764.html

Yesterday, I really did not notice who my next opponent is going to be. I read the name then I immediately went to the waiver wire to replace the player that I have only claimed from the waiver wire from the other day hehehe.
You are doing a better job than I am, if I am not mistaken I dropped Carr 3 times and just played him once.

10 million??? what are they retarded? The Pats had him for the league Min and booted him. Lol

Yeah, Carr is a hot mess at times and not dependable at all, I'd take Cousins over him any day.
Actually I have a few times. Lol

I'm so not looking forward to this week's matchup with wheelz1200, i'm down 4 running backs and forced to stream Singletary as RB1. rip

Yeah, bills facing the Jets but I still think I'd roll with Freeman over Singletary.

Yeah I agree with you here on this one. I don’t think you can trust the Bills running backs what so ever. As much as I don’t think Freeman is really any good, the offense is pretty explosive and he certainly seems to be their number one pass catching back which certainly helps out his fantasy upside. Though Bell and or Williams could just as easily come in and steal touches..that backfield is a bit of a cluster.

Honestly until Tom Brady is out of the league, his team no matter which one he is on is the favorite.  Kills me to say it but it's true.  Tell me a team that will be favorites in the playoffs over them?  Not a chance.  Vegas and betting money will come in hard on playoff Brady and squad.  Thinking about dropping a sb bet now on the bucs actually.

Well if Tom Brady keeps this level of talent on his offense, then yeah I would probably agree with you on that.  I mean is there any question that this receiving core is the best one ever assembled? But of course if we are talking about this year, where he has all that talent, I would certainly agree that they are the favorites.  I do think others could take them down, any given Sunday right.
I think we can all agree the Bucs offense is not only loaded but all-time loaded, and assuming Brady retires at the end of the next season, not a given anymore as he has joked about playing until he is fifty, then it is safe to assume the Bucs will be able to keep that level of talent around him, the offense right now is not the problem with the Bucs but their secondary and all the injuries they have, if their defense could at least reach mediocre level then they will be the SB favorites once again even if they have to go on the road during the playoffs.

Christian McCalfrey aka 0.5 calf strain aka Rhuled out is finally back, even on a pitch count he should put some good numbers. Psychotics team is now officially in the playoff hunt.  Grin   (let's hope dj moore gets some open 1v1 looks today...fingers crossed).

Well Sam Darnold is on IR and apparently his backup is an interception machine so Moore and CMC downgraded big time.

I might sit Moore this week if Antonio Brown is available to play (which is unlikely at this point). Not sure what happened to Darnold, he and the Panthers offense looked fantastic early in the season, but the last 4-5 games have been a disaster. I don't how much of a downgrade PJ Walker will be, after all, he is XFL passing touchdowns leader (2020)Grin

Ready for the "juice"?

"P.J. Walker wants to bring the "juice" to offense"

source: https://www.panthers.com/news/p-j-walker-wants-to-bring-the-juice-to-offense
Quote
Walker started one game for the Panthers last season against the Lions, and won [1]. But he said Wednesday he wants to stay in the mindset he adopted when he was playing for the Houston Roughnecks the spring before.

"I'm going to just revert back to when I played in the XFL, to be honest," Walker said. "I had a lot of fun, enjoyed the moment. I'm extremely excited, but when I go out there, I want to stay extremely excited, because the guys around me need that energy, need that juice, and I want to bring it on Sunday.

[1] DJ Moore stats in that game: 7 receptions for 127 yards...hmm not bad

Look at it this way, root for GB to get to the Superbowl and then Have Brady beat them to snail snot. Wink

Can't happen, they're both in the same conference. Last year Bucs knocked Packers out in the NFC championship game.

Ohh shit, w00ps! Fixed Cheesy

Good question Moon. As of like two weeks ago I was sold on the Bills being the favorite, but now it truly is wide open. The Bills, Rams, Bucs, Cardinals, and imo the current favorite to win it all, the god damn Packers  Cry. As a bears fan that is very hard to swallow.

We're officially at the halfway point of the 17+bye regular season, so who do we like for Super Bowl? It looks wide open to me.

By division:

  • AFC East: Bills got beaten by Jaguars of all teams, still at the top of the division but Patriots are on a roll (RB injuries might affect that though).
  • AFC North: Ravens and Steelers are at the top of their division but just barely, and they're winning their games against mediocre opponents just barely.
  • AFC South: Titans... not sure if they can really do it without Henry, but they're already 7-2 in a weak division so they're pretty much guaranteed get to the playoffs and they seem to be hopeful that Henry will be back by then.
  • AFC West: Chargers and Raiders might spoil the season for Chiefs.
  • NFC East: Cowboys looked really poor against Broncos last week but again, a weak division will likely carry them to the playoffs regardless, to be eliminated immediately.
  • NFC North: Packers got screwed by Rodgers but he's likely back for the next game. Lions definitely still in the picture.
  • NFC South: Bucs are strong as ever. Not sure if Saints can hold on to a playoff spot, Falcons are quite terrible this year but have a more favorable remaining schedule.
  • NFC West: Rams got beaten by Henry-less Titans and with Wilson back at the Seahawks... nah, whom am I kidding, it will be Rams and Cardinals in the playoffs.

So I don't know... Buccaneers vs Chargers in the SB? Packers vs Bills? I'm not putting any money on that just yet.

It was very funny from some of Aaron Rodgers’ statements where he said he was immunized from the coronavirus, however, news updates reported that he did not yet have the vaccine hehehehehe.

For post season, it appears the Bills or the Chargers from AFC and the Packers, the Cardinals, Tampa Bay from NFC. I am not quite certain on the Cowboys but they appear to be winning. My heart goes for something new, the Chargers vs. the Cardinals for superbowl.

Odell can go hang with Covid Cam for all I care, no one misses him. Smiley

Peoples Jones looked great in comparison, I grabbed him on a 12 man league.

Speaking of which is Rogers cleared yet, GB did a job on my teams last week but I snuck in under the wire on them all for a change (I played Love on my other team for the hell of it).

Close game bbc.reporter I thought for sure you would pull it off monday, we were both fighting for the bottom of the barrel this week. I'm glad I didn't play Herbert like I was planning as Montgomery came back yesterday. I did play my optimal lineup except for Davante Adams but even with Love under center I just couldn't justify benching him but I did think about it.

New Orleans is one of the teams which need a WR1, Michael Thomas is out for the season and they are the only team that had talks with the Browns about a potential trade for Odell, Seattle is also a team which is been mentioned despite having a good WR core, while New England does not really have a WR1, but can Odell deal with Belichick and his coaching style?

Hah, I drafted Thomas on every team so that was a big hit for me especially since it was announced after I dropped some Wideouts expecting him the next week so I went from being WR flush to a deficit in the position from that shithead! Smiley

I'm not even sure Belichick can straighten Odell out, he has full blown Antonio Brown syndrome.

Odel would be perfect down in New orleans if Winston was still under center.

They are quite screwed this season, Winston was borderline but had moments of genius now that are just in deep shit for the rest of the season.

Well to be fair the Bears don't have a snowball chance in hell and it probably is GB's last chance to get to the big game in the foreseeable future with the rogers and probably adams exodus as well after the season.

Look at it this way, root for GB to get to the NFC championship game and then Have Brady beat them again. Wink

So where is Odell going to play? It is no secret Odell always wanted to play with Brady but the Bucs have no cap space and they are loaded at WR so this is unlikely, I think his best bet are the LAC as they have the cap space and a QB which can make every throw, however I do not know how successful Odell can be there as without an old leader like Brady to calm him down he is bound to eventually implode again.

Hah, funny I'm catching up with the thread reading post backwards and I see you already said my thoughts on the subject! Smiley
Guess I should read the whole thread before starting to post. You'd think I'd learn after all these years. Cheesy

I am not quite certain what would happen to Odell Beckham Jr., however, the Las Vegas Raiders lost their wide receiver because of alcohol abuse and stupidity. They might get him next season? What other teams have lost or wants to replace their wr1?

Odel would be perfect down in New orleans if Winston was still under center.  With Taylor probably going to take the job from Simeon O'Dell will he frustrated there.  Seatle with Lockett and Metcalf are good they don't need him.  New England might actually be a good spot for him.  Another good landing spot for him (for him personally) would be the Ravens.  Not a lot of pressure to be thean, team that needs another receiver, and ultimately in the browns division so he can stick it to him.  But this is definately true, he will eventually run out of chances if he doesn't pipe down.  He fails on another team and people will just look at him like a liability.

On the NFC I still see the Bucs as the best, the Cardinals are doing a great job but I do not trust they can keep that level of play during the whole season, while I still think we have yet to see the best the Bucs have to offer.

On the AFC things are way more difficult to predict, there are many good teams but all of them have their problems and at the end I think it will come down to which team is the healthiest.

My Internet connection has been awful the past 2 days, it seems you did not needed me as the LM but still sorry for the absence. Sad

Today I really need the Steelers D to bail me out and break my 4 game losing streak, I need them to score 14 points against the Bears, not impossible but unlikely, this could be easier if the on the Titans-Rams game the TD Higbee scored was not overturned.

Also, the Browns appear to have released Odell Beckham Jr. Why is this? I thought he was a very good and popular wide receiver for the Browns.
Odell has always given me Antonio Brown vibes, he is kind unstable on the field and probably wants to be targeted more than what the game plan indicates, this is not sitting well with the team plus we do not know if there are some incidents they have hidden from the public and finally decided to call it quits.

14pts it's a long shot, especially given how the underdogs have played/covered spreads this week. One thing that works in your favor is that Nagy will be back on the sidelines for the Bears lol. They played decent without him last week, but yeah...you are definitely looking for a defensive score or something from the Steelers.

One of the very few weeks i don't have to sweat anything on MNF, 2 out of 2 for me, life is goood.  Grin
