Yeah between playing minor league ball and broadcasting.  Seems like a perfect fit to play tight end in the NFL when you never suited up even in the position before.  I'd be pissed if I was a fringe tight end and get cut because that guy showed up.

His enthusiasm and competitiveness can be helpful in the locker room, and it's been said he has the personality of a "natural leader."  It could be that Urban Meyer wants Tim's influence on Trevor Lawrence for that reason alone.  Of course there's no guarantee he'll make the 53-man roster.  Summer training camps might be the only Tebowing we see this season.

I thought he's in his 40s so I had to look it up. He's 33 and apparently he spent the last 5 years trying to become a baseball player.

Tebow is only a story because...I don't know why lol.  People are fascinated with him.  He is a sub par professional athlete who was good in college.  Linebackers aren't going to have an issue covering Timmy.  He never played a snap of tight end in college, he must have some juice on urban lol.

If I remember correctly many years ago Belichick tried to make Tebow make the transition to a TE during training camp, at the end he was not signed but this was a sign that something like this could eventually happen.

In other news the 2021 NFL schedule has been released, I did not had the time to take a close look at the schedule of the best teams but I took a look at the schedule of NE and at least it is not as difficult as it was last year, however the difficulty raises up significantly on week 10.

However what a lot of people wanted to know was when we will see the Brady vs Belichick grudge match? And this will happen on October 3rd the 4th week on the NFL calendar.

Now seriously, i thought this was rumors only, a pr stunt or something, but they're actually going to sign him, as a TE...why though???

If Urban Meyer wants him around the team, why can't they just add him as an assistant, staff (or perhaps water boy), this is an insult to all the TEs in the league.

This happened basically because of the media, immediately after the trade that put the 49ers at the third spot on this draft there was a report they were after Jones, it seems the 49ers from the very beginning were after Lance but they let the rumour take place as it played on their favour, but this created a very negative reaction from the media, but why was that? As we know the media is completely in love with Mahomes and his style of playing, this has died down a little bit after his defeat against Brady but it is still there, so when the media began to compare them Lance always came up favourably and they could not believe the 49ers would select Jones over Lance.

Another factor is that the 49ers are going through the opposite of what the Patriots fans are going through, in our case we have had a pocket passer for a very long time with tremendous success so when we see someone like Cam that can barely throw the football we immediately want to go back to the winning formula which is a pocket passer in our case so we were not against having Garoppolo back or getting Jones, but the experience of the 49ers is the opposite even if Garoppolo has done a good job he has been unable to remain healthy and so they want someone that can move in the pocket like Montana or Young, has a big arm and can extend plays, and Lance is better than Jones on those aspects.

NFL experts, what team had the best 2021 draft? From first round, I reckon Jacksonville did very good because of their 1st and 25th picks. However, I also read comments from social media that the Bears won the jackpot because of Justin Fields. Others say it the Patriots or 49ers. How can we know who had the best?

Amusingly San Fran originally was going to pick Jones to replace Garoppolo until the fanbase lost their minds for some reason (if someone can explain this to me i'd appreciate it).

Chicago traded with NYG, it seems they are going for Fields.

Edit: Confirmed Chicago got Justin Fields, compared to what they paid for Trubisky back then this is fine, lets see if Chicago finally got a QB as it has passed like 6 or 7 decades since they had a good QB.

ChiBitCTy will probably be happy about this.

Edit2: Looking more closely at the trade they still paid a lot to move up(2 firsts, one fourth and one fifth), Matt Naggy wants to keep his job and overpaid because of it, this means Fields will start from day one so he better prepare himself since he is not going to have time to prepare to play on the NFL.

Edit3: Well, Belichick got exactly the player he wanted without having to trade up to get him, Mac Jones will have some time to learn but if Cam begins to play like he did last year then he better be ready to play sooner rather than later, I will say I am relieved, I am not convinced Cam is going to improve much over what we saw last year and the other backup QBs did not play any better so it is nice to have someone there which can at least throw the ball.

I'm not displeased with that pick.  I was hoping the Jets would take Lance or Fields (I half expected them to,) leaving Wilson on the board, but no such luck.  I like Lance, he seems like a good guy with his head screwed on right.  His film is amazing, and lets hope the lack of a 2020 season didn't hurt any.  Garoppolo and Lance on the roster doesn't make sense for very long, so we'll see what happens in the next couple of days.  I wouldn't be surprised to see a trade to regain some of those spent draft picks.  Garoppolo's salary isn't guaranteed until the first week of the regular season, so they have some time to make a move.


I think that's a really smart pick for the Falcons.  They've not only got Brady to deal with, but Gronk also.  They needed an upgrade at the position, and they can still win with Ryan.  I wouldn't be surprised to see them take a couple of corners/safeties, and spend a mid to late round pick on a QB.

I'm very excited about being able to read great reporting here in this thread and not having to follow the draft itself, which seems to be more cringy and boring than a Thursday night game.

That would have been interesting but the 49ers have selected Lance, lets just hope they got it right this time around, they passed on two HOF QBs on Brady and Rodgers and it seems this draft has the potential to have one or two HOF QBs.

The Falcons got TE Kyle Pitts, this was another of the big questions on the draft, I thought they could select a QB since Ryan is not getting any younger and he is very expensive but it seems they are trying to win now, something difficult to do when they have Brady on their division.

The Denver Broncos also have contacted Greenbay to propose for Aaron Rodgers and the according to the rumor the Broncos will give up 3 first round picks. Greenbay might not agree, however.

@DireWolfM14. His injuries might be why the 49ers will release him. Does Belichick think the Patriots can take care of his health and protect him on the field better than the 49’ers?

There's a lot of talk about the Niners having contacted GB about Aaron Rodgers.  Man, that would be a dream come true, I've been a big fan of Rodgers since his Golden Bears days.  I guess we'll know in about 15 minutes what the 9ers are gonna do.

There's been a lot of talk about Jimmy Garoppolo going away, even some local reports claiming that he's working on restructuring his contract to work with the Patriots.  I'm really on the fence about that news.  He's been really good when healthy.  He's started 30 games, gone 22 and 8, and sat out 20 games due to injuries.  So, we have 60% of a great quarterback.  

I am not against the move but I was kind of getting excited about what we could see today with the Patriots, as we know Belichick has the tendency during the first round to just trade out of it, however with the 15th pick that would have been more difficult while at the same time the pick is not high enough to get the top players so I was hoping to see Belichick moving up, but if the Patriots are really trading for Garoppolo then I doubt the Patriots will move up and maybe Belichick will have to give up that first round pick to get Jimmy back to NE.

And in other news it seems Rodgers is not happy with his situation with the Packers and wants out, we will see if this has an impact during the day as several teams have made inquiries about Rodgers but no trade offers have been made yet.

Draft day, who's excited?  

First two draft picks seem like locks with Lawrence to Jacksonville and Zach Wilson to the Jets, but about the Niners? Trey Lance's name has been trending a lot the last couple of days as the 49ers selection at #3. Not a Falcons fan but interesting to see if they trade down and give up the 4th pick, imagine Pitts with Ridley and Jones.  

I have close to $1k wager on Najee Harris✓ and Patrick Surtain II rip* to be the first drafted RB and CB, so yeah, pray for me! lol
^ Not a huge payout, but i'm confident that both bets will land. I did thorough research on both positions and watched some tape, and i see that Mel Kiper and the rest of the mock draft gurus agree with me and my picks.

It appears the speculation of going back with Bill Belichik is becoming true hehe. I am quite certain the Patriots will not have Cam Netwon as first quarterback if the Patriots want the playoffs. Jimmy is 111.78 to be regular season MVP on sportsbet.io.

When it comes to the money it makes sense as the 49ers can get out of his contract with a very small hit to their cap, however Jimmy comes from an injury and trading him now will be a bad idea as the offers they will receive are too low.

The best scenario for the 49ers is to pick a QB with the 3rd overall pick and hope they nail it, play Jimmy for the next season and hope he has a good year with no injuries and trade him for a 1st round pick and recover one of the two first they had to give away to move to the 3rd spot.

So I do not see Jimmy going to NE this year and maybe ever as I do not see Belichick trading for him unless he was dirt cheap, most likely the plan Belichick had was for the 49ers to get their QB via trade for a veteran QB, the cap would have forced the 49ers to cut Jimmy and then get him for free, but obviously this did not happened.
