@ChiBitCTy. I did not imply make the season longer, only make college football begin earlier on May and end on August. After this, we will have NFL season begin! This schedule will be convenient for fans and this will also make it known who are awarded as the best players in college football and who might be in the drafts on the following year while we are watching the NFL season hehehehe.

On this statement from the Japanese Embassy, is this real? Who wrote this? Taylor Swift can wow the Japanese audience according to an official statement sounds not official heheehe.

College football will never start in May and run through the summer.  For one these are academic athletes so that just wouldn't work.  The way it goes is Friday for highscool football, Saturday for college and Sunday for the big boys.  Been that way for eons, football is a fall sport and isnt changing

I cannot argue against being academic athletes. However, you also understand what I am trying to imply. There is a big opening for others to place their schedules after February and before September. This is certainly why the UFL and XFL were created. I might be forced to watch this hehe.

I’m glad it was a disaster. I’m embarrassed to admit it but I got malware’d trying to find a damn stream. I ended up getting malwarebytes pro from a buddy so it kinda worked out lol.

Some interesting prop bets in this Sportsbet Super Bowl contest:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sportsbetio-super-bowl-58-prop-party-30-mbtc-in-prizes-europe-trip-5484002

The few that pertain to Taylor Swift are anybody's guess. Also it was the first time I ever sought to know the average length of the National Anthem in a Super Bowl. Perhaps the funniest one is the last: what color will the Gatorade be that gets dumped on a coach's head. Seems like the Chiefs would have red gatorade (I'm leaning toward them ATM), and then maybe the Niners would have red gatorade as well.

Gatorade is always a popular prop. That's a dangerous bet I feel like it’s always the one the least amount of money was put on. No conspiracies it’s just tough one.

I make my biggest bet of the year for the SB and I’m never confident. Niners are a better team overall hands down, but KC is legit all around plus they got that 1 QB which makes a bit of a difference. Might was well flip a quarter.

Okay I'm straight up too lazy to copy code so apologies lol...

I love that you guys all know HST as well.  I've known of him for a long time, his Gonzo style of journalism is quite famous etc...but until recently I had not known how or why he died.  Just because it's him, it's kinda funny that he took himself out because the football season ended lulz.  I thought I loved NFL football.  I know he had health issues too and so it wasn't just that (who woulda guessed, not like he took drugs or anything ever  Cheesy ), but he was very vocal about how the season end made him want to commit suicide for years lol   Apparently Johnny Depp spent 5 million on his funeral.  I bet that was something.

@BBC...no, they wont ever start the season that early.  Pushing the season out to 18 weeks was pressing it.  I've heard they might do 1 more, but it'll never be more than that...just to violent of a sport, bodies and brains need time off badly.

"Its true that NFL helps keeps people in line, but I prefer it to Keeping up with the Kardashians" Nutildah...been saying this very same thing.  It's all annoying, but it could be far worse...imagine if all this with Taylor going on was going on w/Kylie or Kendall or any one of those stains of this planet.  I bet they are sooo jelous of all her attention ..and that brings me joy.

Ya'll see this ?  Cheesy Cry

@nutildah. Are we very much similar on being in the Roman times where the rulers distracted the people with gladitorial games and chariot races?

Good lord this thread was buried 4 pages deep today..a sign of the season coming to an end which legitimately does make me sad lol.

Can there be an argument to make college football start on May or June or earlier?

In any case, I want to watch college football more closely. What websites and sources of information would you suggest?

I'm afraid the refs are going to force the the issue so the Chiefs will win so that Mr. Pfizer can propose to Miss Illuminati during the post-game celebration.

Agreed, very much similar to what the Illumnati did to the referees in the AFC championship game heheheee. What are these referees names and are they a member of a Masonic lodge?

Yeah football almost over sad times Sad  with that being said I'm looking forward to this superbowl ypu know why Smiley

Is it Taylor Swift?

Lol that's a hard no.  Not that I care either way with the whole taylor thing.  I got a little scratch on the game and hoping pacheco has the game of his life.  I'm honestly shocked everyone e counted the cheifs out.  Reining Champs and dude won it on one leg last year.  They are the new patriots. They won't go every year but it's never a bad bet to lay so.e dough on them.  They won't ever be out of it for sure.

Actually thats not a bad metaphor. Except NFL doesn't actually kill people (not on purpose anyway) and Joe Biden doesn't give thumbs up or thumbs down whether the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.

And I've noticed a crossover between those who believe in flat earth or moon landing conspiracy theories and those who believe the NFL is rigged.

Its true that NFL helps keeps people in line, but I prefer it to Keeping up with the Kardashians.

I feel like UFC is probably closer to gladiatorial combat. For some reason NFL is just more fun, anyway.

Good lord this thread was buried 4 pages deep today..a sign of the season coming to an end which legitimately does make me sad lol.  I'm kind of like Hunter S Thompson in this way (very famous author, wrote Fear and Loathing Los Vegas and others).

He was a big Raiders fan and indeed wrote some interesting takes on the NFL, this being one of my favorites:

Quote
Sean Penn called me last night and said he was quitting the movie business until after the football season.

"I am going on the road with Brett Favre and the boys," he said. "The Packers will kick ass this year, and I want to be part of it. I love Brett Favre."

His voice sounded strange, so I goaded him.

"The football season has been cancelled this year. The White House just announced it."

"No!" he shouted. "That's impossible! Football season will never be canceled in America -- not in an election year. There would be riots."

"Exactly," I replied. "Horrible riots every Sunday afternoon, in cities all over the country. Football fans will go crazy. I already feel the Fear."

It's true, but not because of our football season being canceled. No. We must have football. What would this country be without football in October?

That is a dangerous question, so I try not to worry. Only an imbecile would alienate every football freak in the country at a time like this.

Would the President do a thing like that?

Who knows for sure? He is already muttering about "postponing" the whole election, and that is almost as ugly as canceling a football season.

Anyways you guys been seeing all this stuff about Caleb Williams and my Bears?  Man I swear if he forces his way out of Chicago I will lose my mind.  I won't have rooted against someone more in my life.  I think that kid is going to be beyond special.

On the draft I don't even know if Caleb is gonna be the best qb out of the bunch.  I'm kinda liking the kid out of LSU.  What does Chicago do with Justin fields?  I mean he would nab ypu some draft capital but he looks decent enough to build around too no?

Hunter S. Thompson is a riot.  In the early nineties I used run with a group of folks that looked at Fear and Loathing as an instruction manual, which kind of turned me off to his writing for a significant amount of time, but I re-read it about 8 years ago and remembered why he was so popular.  His writing style is pretty awesome.

As for the dwindling football season, yeah it's pretty depressing.  This is the first weekend without football, and all honesty the Super Bowl isn't enough to quell the sadness.  The Conference Championship games are way more exciting and entertaining, the Super Bowl is more of a celebration than anything else.  And I'm not looking forward to the Trailer shitshow that's bound to be the focus.  I'm afraid the refs are going to force the the issue so the Chiefs will win so that Mr. Pfizer can propose to Miss Illuminati during the post-game celebration.

It kind of reminds me of the drama with Deebo leaving the Niners a couple of years ago, it may be just a ploy to get other teams to the negotiating table.

- The Ravens took a dive to help ensure we get a Taylor Swift Super Bowl, since she has drawn in millions of new viewers.

Taylor Swift is an agent of the Illuminati hehehe. I would not be very shocked if this theory will in reality have some truth. Also, if to help ensure the Chiefs will be in the superbowl, it would be to pay the referees. There was a play in the game where the Chiefs defense should have been flagged and the Ravens would have a chance for a touchdown, however, it was the 4th down and only settled for a field goal.

On Taylor Swift, how this has occured is the work of the Illuminati hehehehee.

Taylor Swift scored a 10 out of 10 to become the first artist in history to claim the Top 10 slots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US, with tracks from her latest album, Midnights.

Billboard reported on Monday that Swift has surpassed Drake, who had held the previous record with nine of the Top 10 songs for a week in September 2021.

“10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES,” the 32-year-old pop star tweeted.

Because I was bored & trying to time my bet, I've been watching the Super Bowl line and it has been fluctuating between SF -2 and -1 on a few different books. Seems like in the playoffs, experience & poise has trumped expectations just about every time, which is why I'm tempted to bet on KC.

Funny to watch a lot of reactions from the internet about the way things panned out. Here's a few of the more interesting themes I've seen running:

 - This is a Super Bowl between the league's two most hated teams (not true, I think those are the Cowboys and Eagles).
 - The Ravens took a dive to help ensure we get a Taylor Swift Super Bowl, since she has drawn in millions of new viewers.
 - At the same time, millions of regular SB-watchers will tune out this year b/c they don't care who wins.

On paper, SF should win easy. But things aren't always what they seem.

@ChiBitCTy. This was the argument this thread had during the regular season on which team to choose in a very important game. Mahomes with the Chiefs or Purdy with the 49ers. I would certainly like to witness Purdy and the 49ers to win the superbowl, however, I would certainly feel much safer betting on Mahomes and the Chiefs if I was forced to bet the game. They are also +2 on the spread.

Well I lost all of my bets this past weekend (edit: I did hit on the over for Lamar 19.5 rushing yards)  I knew going in to the games that I wasn't feeling super strong about them.  The week before and the week before that I felt pretty confident. Now for the Super Bowl I honestly have no idea how I'm going to bet this one.  On one hand the Niners are a much better team all around.  They've got 4 all pro caliber weapons on offense.  Then again you've got Mahomes on the other end and maybe ya'll have heard but he's okay at football lol.

@everyone (all the regulars anyhow) if you guys are interested in bein part of a Super Bowl squares games let me know.  Either going to do $5 or $10 per square.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Very entertaining games, even if things went more or less as I thought they would.

The Lions are full of talent but their inexperience cost them the game, Dan Campbell coached the game as if it was a regular season game and they were playing from behind, while the 49ers showed the resiliency that experience gives you by never giving up even when all seemed lost, they had a little bit of luck coming their way with that interception turning into a TD, but what matters is they were able to take advantage of those mistakes.

The Ravens and Lamar Jackson dropped the ball, do not get me wrong the D played well, but how is it possible for the offense to only score 10 points in such a do-or-die game when they supposedly have the regular season MVP at QB? I suppose this proves once again that SB MVP >>> Regular Season MVP.

And the Chiefs they are just the new Patriots, no matter how bad they seemed during the regular season, when it comes playoff time they are ready and can beat anyone, anywhere.

That said I really hope the 49ers win the SB, for the reason that ‘I, for one, do not want to welcome our new Taylor Swift overlord.’

Damn, lost my bet. I would have appreciated it if the Lions just went for a FG in their final drive, but noooo, they had to go for the TD.

There was also the game during the regular season where Dan Campbell chose to get 2 points after touchdown instead of the much safer extra point to tie the game hehehe. If I recall correctly, it was against the Ravens.
