Hi all,

Ive been investing small amounts in Bitcoin and ethereum for a year or so now but i wanted to ask what is the best or easiest way for a newbie to buy the currency now. I have a coinbase account so im able to purchase quickly if need be but so many buy sites make it very difficult for newbies to make such purchases in quick time. What is there out there thats on board and safe for anyone wanting to join the market quickly and start investing in such currencies?

Kind Regards

Griff
My opinion: if a current newbie wants to invest in this market. Better to invest in ETH. ETH is very potent and it will grow with bitcoin. The thing to do is buy ETH and wait for it to rise

But last month ETH have no growing, and BTC close to double up its capitalization.
Eth isn't growing nor on a dump but rather it's stable on it's 300$ mark and there's no reason for it to pump or dump right now since there's no event coming yet for it unlike in bitcoin which a fork or some kind will happen soon that's why it's price skyrocketed these days but it will be sooner or later that other altcoin specially ETH to pump once bitcoin goes stable and it's event ended.

Ohhhh NO!!! Ethereum is great blockchain for smart contracts.
Do you really think Ethereum has potential to increase market capitaliz. ??
In my opinion, Litecoin is the currency which is undervalued and have potential to go up to $500+
Litecoin should also take the scene of micro-payments from "tired" Bitcoin.

Bitstamp offer buying coins via SEPA and credit cards, but you need to be verified.

Coinbase has to be the easiest for newbies. It's a company anyone new can trust. They don't have to keep them them there they can just withdraw it to one of their own wallets where they have the private keys.

The best way for starters is just to buy them at blockchain. Make a wallet on blockchain and you can quickly buy some bitcoins and also ETH. Blockchain has added ETH.

So you can buy btc and ETH on their wallet. Plus its safe and a trusted wallet.

Just buy them on big exchanges for a good price you know you can easily miss and use that to buy other coins this way you will expand your profit in other coins and you will ear a lot more from them instead of only investing in bitcoin or eth.

Newbies and experienced users will used the same method as long as they are fine with the fees or comfortable on they chosen methods to buy bitcoin. So basically the easiest method will be applied to all users whether newbie or not.

Availability on your area is more important. If the exchange supports your country then do some buying there. If you aren't comfortable with the fees then find another one. The answers you will get here can't be applied to you since different people have their own "easiest way to buy bitcoin". I suggest to consult your local section so that it will give more closest possible response.

I suggest newbies that they should start investing with altcoins like ethereum. Because altcoins have less risks than bitcoin. But you like having risk, it is up to you. Bitcoin is also expensive than ethereum. If you are rich enough to invest with bitcoin, you may choose bitcoin too. In addition newbies have to learn more about cryptocurrency.

If there's something to be written...
Localbitcoins is a good option when buying bitcoins because you are dealing with real people selling at different prices. So you get to choose the seller whose price is most appealing to you. Localbitcoin is quite fast as most sellers will release the escrowed coins immediately they get your payment.

For newbies localbitcoins.com will go a long way for you even if you're a Sr. Member here.  Or for my case, I'm living in the Philippines and the best app dor my to cash-in for bitcoins is Coins.ph. I can buy credits at our local 7-11 stores and immediately turns into BTC with just one click.

Leading Crypto Sports Betting & Casino Platform
My honest suggestion is that all newbies should look for reliable bitcoin platforms where they can first of all learn and gather as much information before they take the plunge. Don't fall victim to scammers because you are in a hurry to get in. Arm yourself with information, for it is power!
Yes for newbies bitcoin is best because bitcoin is easily understandable and used all over the world and also have a profiting nature as compare to ETHEREUM, bitcoin is more versatile and fruitful it fulfill the needs of every investor whatever he wants to do with his money bitcoin give this ease bitcoin can be used as currency as well as investment so better choice is here now and you have to invest in it,

Whether you are a newbie or you are a senior Member of this forum you will buy any crypto currency just like all, You can buy your Bitcoins from localbitcoins and then you can exchange your Bitcoins for ethereum (by doing that you can earn some money too) , You can directly buy your ethereum too just find a good dealer with good price and buy it.
The fact is that you must first find a place where you can buy the etherium for real money. After all, I'm a problem for a beginner will be that he can not even bring his own tokens without an ether.

I don't think it is really hard to find a place to buy ethereum for real money, You are here on Bitcointalk.org you can create a thread and find a person and meet him and just simply buy your ethereums, Also, you can use some online exchanges to buy ethereum no worries!
moreover there are now even dozens of local exchange sites in different countries and they can directly use their local currency to buy lots of cryptocurrency not just bitcoin, there is no need to confuse where to buy cryptocurrency, because there are many services that already provide sell / buy cryptocurrency, I think even a newbie will not have trouble to buy bitcoin right now
