one cannot agree less with your points, alts are dependent on bitcoin price and i really do not think there will ever be price in-dependency for Alts
I wouldn’t say that I think some of them might get independence from BTC one day, crypto is still in an early stage

....is their complete dependancy of Bitcoin. It really takes all the fun out of crypto trading.

No matter what kind of awesome progress some altcoins make....it doesn't change the trend upwards if Bitcoin doesn't allow it.

Pump and dump groups I also blame. Because of them I'm very positive that Bitcoin won't make it past 30 000 this year. 50 000 to 80 000 would be realistic without pump and dump groups dominating and controlling the prices.

Anyways, these things have to change somehow. The first altcoin developers who claim their absolute freedom from Bitcoin will be the real winners of this crypto game.
You are absolutely right. The price of all altcoins is tied to bitcoin. This is the fault of the centralized exchanges. While blocking technology is young and unsuitable for creating a decentralized exchange with large trades volumes. When such an exchange is created and people can change the altcoins directly peer2peer, the situation will change dramatically. From this point forward perspective altcoins will grow regardless of bitcoin

It's a twofold thing.  In no particular order, 1) Too many scam and pump and dump coins/tokens and 2) Value has a dependency to Bitcoin.  However, it appears clearing these 2 things will take quite some time.

The main problem of almost altcoin is hte depend on the fluctuation of Bitcoin and some TOP coin. If the altcoin has the big technology or potential, the dependence is lower and it can remain the price when downtrend.

In my opinion, the biggest problem with altcoins is that their price depends on the price of bitcoin...Bitcoin is in a drawdown, and altkoins even stronger fall in valuable Independent altcoins is not present.

In my own opinion, all the altcoins are just tether to bitcoins because ethereum price is the based value of all the altcoins in the market today and it was tether to bitcoins so that is the reason why all the altcois are being affected every time bitcoins is in dip.

One day there will come a time when one of the altcoins, for example ETH, overtakes BTC capitalization and then the dependence on BTC will be much lower. BTC is not the most technologically advanced coin, it would be logical if in a couple of years it loses its position in the top 1.

The biggest problem in altcoins is that they are very unstable and at any time they l can simply collapse from the crypt. So far, I'm not in a hurry investing..

Some altcoins incorporate interesting new ideas, but there is an essential feature of Bitcoin which they all lack. It is not a matter of its technology, but rather of history and community. Quite simply, a medium of exchange that is more widely accepted on the market is more useful than one which is not. This is known as the network effect. An initial imbalance between two nearly equal media of exchange will benefit whichever is more widely accepted until a single one overwhelms the rest. There is no limit to this effect: ultimately one would always expect a single currency to overcome all its competitors.

Because it was started earlier and has had a greater opportunity to grow and attract users, Bitcoin has a market larger by a wide margin than all the markets of all the altcoins put together, and this makes it vastly more useful as a currency. To defeat Bitcoin, an altcoin would require not just superior technology, but such vastly superior technology as to be an advance over Bitcoin comparable to the advance Bitcoin represents over fiat currency.

Altcoins have so many legal problems and BTC dependency is nothing in comparison to them)) These problems will be solved with time and many alts will die eventually. After all, this industry is very young and is at the development stage. Most probably exchanges will open more and more trading pairs in relation to USD and alts will become more independent from bitcoin in future.

I think the strong dependence of the rest of the coins from bitcoin will be less in 2-4 years, when the market will not be so volatile and promising coins will grow regardless of bitcoin.

According to my point of view, NEO is getting a honored place in the crypto world. Lot of Eth based crypto currencies are getting degrading day by day as well as Bitcoins too. But recently I realized that most of the NEO based currencies coming forward. The best example is Effect.

You should search for a good interesting project that is trustworthy enough to return your money and simultaneously have an interesting concept. In the result, you will earn money and, moreover, support the implementation of a good idea. As I can consider myself as an expert in ICOs field and investment, so I can give you some advice. You need to choose it really careful and study all about ICO project which you want to invest in. For example, an experience of a team, a value of the project, uniqueness and then read some comments about it. If you need my recommendation, Kelvin Blockchain. For sure you need to check it out)))

It seems to me that the most important problem of altcoyins is high volatility and lack of real use. As soon as the token can be used in real life and will be useful, its price vshletit to the moon.

Yes, now all the altcoins are completely tied up with bitcoin. The first coin, which will be independent, will be able to drop bitcoin from the TOP. It must be a truly revolutionary project.

I don't like this BTC dominance, but currently there is nothing to do with it and I hope in future there will be less dependence onBTC price changes.
Currently this is a real big problem and when BTC grow, all alts grow and so on

The greatest problem of altcoins is in their dependence on the course of bitcoin movement. But I believe that once there will be a project that will not depend on the price of bitcoin but will itself form a supply and demand. Maybe it is AVATARA.

Now 99% of cryptocurrency market participants are buying bitcoin even in order to buy altcoins later. Many companies are working to make it easy to buy cryptocurrency for fiat without bitcoin. It is this progress that will become a revolution in the world of cryptocurrencies.

the biggest problem of altcoins is who to buy our coins? If no more people enter the market for cryptocurrency, then this market will die chronically, I think many people now seem to have lost interest in cryptocurrencies and they dare not put funds in cryptocurrencies.
I agree, now is a hard time to invest. But I would not say that people are getting smaller. Simply everyone is waiting for a good rise in the market.
