Hello i am getting into digi mining as a hobby and i think it working for the most part
i am using cgminer and its connected to the sever by the looks of it and my user name and pass is correct and it seems to be working but it isn't showing up on the website
just wondering what i could be missing any help in this would be great!

It took a while for any info to show up on the website when I started mining DGB. You'll also need to play with the miner settings to get the highest hash rate with the lowest invalid rate. What is your hardware setup?

Any mining investment is risky - the key is to set up a flexable setup that can change with coin profitability changes.

Right now, it appears the best DGB options are the NVidia 1070/1080 and possibly the 1080ti, running skein or groetsl (varies WHICH is better from day to day and sometimes hour to hour) - which leaves you with quite a few non-DGB coin options if profitability drops.

If RX 470/480/570/580 card availability and the resulting gouge pricing had not happened though, ETH on AMD would probably be better returns on a $ earned/$ spent basis.

I would not recommend the 1080ti unless you have cheap electricity.   You only get about 50% more hashing power than the 1080 and it uses significantly more power.  I'd say cost to benefit ratio puts the 1070's at the top with the 1080's having more hashing power, but costing more than the margin you gain.   So in the long run the 1080 will be more productive, but more upfront cost and take longer to pay off whereas the 1070 is cheaper upfront, but will lose out in long term production.

Basically search for GTX 1080 and buy what is in stock.  There are some the perform slightly better than others and if you want to find efficiency you'll have to play and see which ones perform best for you.  They will all generally do about 700-800MH/s Skein

Build a mining rig case like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cscm8blV40c

Download Nemo's Miner pack here and get the Alexis76ccminer from it for best Skein:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/nemosminer-multi-algo-profit-switching-nvidiacpu-miner-1777336

Alternatively use SPmod's which is about the same or sometimes slightly better.  You be the judge:
https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/releases/tag/1.5.81

Put it together and it will look something like this:  (only have 5 GPU's in mine at the moment simply because I had some bad cards buying clearance open box ones from Microcenter:

Total price on Amazon right now not including the wood and screws you have to buy from your local hardware store:
$3,945.02

That's with 6xGTX1080 between $500-550 each.  Hashrate will be roughly 4.35GH/s with a power draw of about 1KW/hr.

Currently that gives:
http://whattomine.com/coins/114-dgb-skein?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=4350.0&p=1000.0&fee=2&cost=0.13&hcost=4000.0&commit=Calculate

Break even in 68days provided price doesn't drop, less if it goes back up.  You can likely get some of these parts cheaper elsewhere and drop the cost some, but this is what I got.  Oh you'll need a copy of windows as well, but I assume you either have a license or can get one.

If you liked it throw a few DGB my way Smiley

I see. Thing is, my main point is, only if necessary, sell the DGB to pay the bills.
I would actually want to stack it, which seems the logic idea tbh.
Anyway, seems like that if I go for a gtx 1070 and I simply drop DGB, I will be left with just some options to mine, sadly.
But this is the risk you should take, hehe. Thanks!

Can We have a profissional miner on DGB here aswering some questions?

I'm today making around 50DGB a day (lmfao I know it sucks :|), using GTX 960.
I want to upgrade my setup with at least 4 GPU. But I need someone to guide, someone that mines DGB daily.

I got a couple grand on wallet and I can buy 1 high-end GPU monthly, probably.
May anyone advise me?
I don't want to get DGB to sell now. I want to stack DGB. I can pay the bills without selling the DGBs, all I actually want is a setup that can make me DGB monthly so I can stack it for 2, 3 years and sell at the end of my college. (This is my strategy actually, mine for 24-36 months, get all the DGB I mined and sell at the end).

Do you guys think it's a good strategy? Is it risky?
I'm thinking that with 1 PC with 4 GPU I'm going to pay around $80? Bucks monthly with bills. Probably I will make a bit more with the DGB prices, like if I got 4 high-end GPU I will make around 2-2.5GH/s, maybe? Probably 3GH/s? It would be at least 15k DGB monthly. (it's literally all I want, a constant 15-20k DGB monthly for 36 months is totally good for me)

can someone please advice ? i keep getting share is above target , up to 10% of my hashrate, how to i fix this ?
i've using nemominer and this is my bat file
i'm using 1080TI
and which is the best difficulty to set it at ?

Can anyone help me get started I have done the following

1. downloaded sgminer
2. created a worker account on theblocksfactory
3. created a worker on theblocksfactory named 'warped.worker' and set a password (eg, 'mypassword')
4. created a startminer.bat file containing:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe -k myriadcoin-groestl -o stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003 -u warped.worker -p mypassword -I 20

5.  When I run the batch file I get:

[12:07:07] Started sgminer 5.0.1
[12:07:07] Started sgminer 5.0.1
[12:07:07] * using Jansson 2.7
[12:07:07] Loaded configuration file sgminer.conf
[12:07:07] No login credentials supplied for stratum.ipc.theblocksfactory.com

if I just run sgminer it works, just won't work with the above batch file or commands.
I have only just created the worker - does it take a little time before you can use it?

The SHA256 pool had an issue during 4 hours. Mining during this time on the pool is lost.

I am setting 0% fee on SHA this month.
It's a small compensation but it's all I can do.

Is there support for this pool?  This forum appears to be unmonitored by anyone in support.  At least by anyone who desires to respond.

Luc,

What's up with the sha pool today? Can we get it running stable or is it crashing network/site?

Miners are down again now. On and off all day but shitty overall h/rs.

Looks like everything lost on SHA256 for several hours, but mining was working.

The reward between blocks 4,636,789 and 4,637,974 was not paid to the miners, and 28 blocks were found by the pool.

Why?  Why was the reward from blocks 4,636,789 and 4,637,974 not paid to the miners? Is it eventually going to be paid to the miners?  I don't think we should have to always be anticipating a possible unreliability and/or theft of our time and money.

Hey guys, I hope anyone of you can help me, I am totally new into mining.

I downloaded ccminer and set it up for groestl pool one month ago. But it somehow didnt work, though it was processing in the cmd window ("Stratum detected new block" ... ).

I still haven't fixed it, and meanwhile the value has risen tremendously  Embarrassed

I used
ccminer.exe --algo=myr-gr -o stratum+tcp://stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003 -u *username*.*worker* -p pass
in the bat file.

Any one knows what is the problem ? Is the groestl pool down?

btw I have a GTX 560 Ti, and the cmd-window says it mines between 50000-70000khash/s

Thanks
