I'm sure we will see more exchanges follow suit. Not sure why an exchange would comply if they are NOT located in Russia, maybe to protect their customers from fines and jail time.

Looks like the legislation is already in front of their parliament in preparation to be voted on. They have a smear campaign against Bitcoin at the moment saying it has helped fund terrorists in Russia along with the normal drug/weapons trafficking and laundering of money.

They are afraid it will displace their currency! And it will eventually Smiley

What you said brother could be right, I can deny.

And as we both share the same mindset, I'm happy with what is happening at Russia, they fear us and this is a war against us and sooner or later, we will win as you said Wink

The same with the R3 teens (nearly same exact scenario but with some "dirty playing") Cheesy

10,36M Bitcoin moved on Sunday, 2nd highest value in the last 2 years

News URL : https://kaiko.com/statistics/outputs-volume?range=2y

A lot of speculation on this in he threads over the last few days. It will be interesting to find out who is moving so much around.

Well, from my side, I see it normal, specially when you look at the blocks and how they are nearly full.

Not Bullish but it's news:

BITSTAMP BANS RUSSIAN IP ADDRESSES.

http://qntra.net/2016/01/bitstamp-bans-russia/

I didn't read into the details but I dunno why Bitstamp made this move ?

bitstamp wants to avoid getting shat on by the gov?

What Bitstamp has to do with the Russian Gov. ?

Same thing I was wondering...

If it was Btc-e I would say ok it's understoodable, but Bitstamp, I can't understand it tbh.

Not a long read but from what I gather it's so that bitstamp doesn't get fined if the legislation is passed.

Who will fine Bitstamp, the Russian gov. ? If so, why the other exchangers didn't made this move as well ? And is it legal for the Russian gov. to take some legal actions against Bitstamp ?

Lets say what you said is right my brother, this move have to be postponed a little when there is something "official", not only "press talks"
