I took the back plate off of a chili, replaced the pad with cream and pointed a fan at the back. Added 4 GH/S. Not sure which thing did which... but something there helped out.
I am searching for BFGMiner love. I have the newest version 3.5 running but it doesn't identify my miners. Is WinUSB the correct USB driver to use?

Haven't tried 3.5.0
Tried both 32 and 64 bit (on a 64 bit OS) but no dice.
Try the part in bold then run the latest BFGMiner
This is a workaround version of BFGMiner until a new firmware update for the chilis
Here's a modified version of BFGMiner, I also included the driver inside of it as well that should fix your problem. (I don't know much about CGMiner though)

Open up bfgminer.conf and change the Pool and Username to whatever you want (It currently uses mine so make sure you change it)
Run CDM v2.08.30 WHQL Certified.exe to install the correct driver for windows
Once you do both of those, just open up bfgminer.exe and it should read from the config automatically and start hashing for you.
If it doesn't see the Chili, all you have to do is keep BFGMiner open, unplug the USB, Plug it back in, press M then + then type all or auto and enter. It should find it.
Please note if it still isn't working then you need to exit BFGMiner, unplug you chili power, plug it back in and wait for all the lights to stop blinking. If you try to find the miner while it's "Booting up" it will have issues.
"Booting Up" is the two most right LEDs (Closer to the Power) blinking back and forth. Again once all the LEDs are not blinking anymore it should be ready to start hashing, start your BFGMiner and follow the above steps.

well today i added a h60 to the chili and its the same as the last heatsink i had on it the temp sticks around 70c and only will go to 21GH
i can touch the board and it is cool to the touch.
I updated the board to the newest firmware and in the start of bfgminer the temps shoot up to 100c then back to 70c then to 90c and then 70c again and levels out at 70 to 72 again it will only push 21GH.

I would recommend you take a couple pics of the setup at chip level from both sides so we can see exactly how the board sits in relation to the heatsink... so we can see if there is boughing, or maybe it is off level and has some chips missing contact.
What are you using TIMs or paste?
Also, idk about BFG but cgminer puts the temp warnings right on the screen as they happen... try cgminer 3.6.6 and see if it throws temp warnings... that will make it very apparent there is a contact issue.

21GH/s usually means the contact between the heat sink and the chip isn't good. Switch to another fan like the cooler master evo 212 or the one mrteal suggested.
What's "kitting"?
Gathering all of the parts together and delivering to the assembly house as a single package or "kit" for them to build. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a PCB or a piece of modern art...

I had the telecon with ChipGeek and the assembly house. There were some serious issues with the new batch of PCBs that arrived, serious enough that we weren't able to start the SMT line today. A picture is worth a thousand words, so
The boards will be back at the board fab first thing tomorrow for a one day turn, and will be back at the assembly house Thursday to start up. It's an unfortunate delay, and I really apologize for it.

Only full power cycle fixed this. Was this addressed in the firmware that was linked a few pages back?

Had the same issue installed the new firmware and it hasn't happened since. Not sure if it means it's fixed.

The assembly house has started our run, with kitting today. I have a teleconference with them tomorrow, they have some concerns about the latest batch of PCBs that came from the PCB fab so I need more information on what is going on there.

With the Cooler Master Evo 212 (see my pics on previous pages) I get between 32GH/s and 35GH/s. But there's a trick! One of my colleagues found out that if you plug additionally a small case fan and point it to the power supply of the board (near the inductors) you get between 35 and 39GH/s don't ask me why but it works!

Just a quick note that I'm still using the modified BFGMiner someone posted, since 3.4.0 doesn't work at all with my miners. It scans in the devices but doesn't get to the actual screen where miners start happily hashing away.
