Manchester City dominated the game from the first half, but thankfully they did not manage to penetrate Manchester United's tight defense. Mainoo and Garnacho really made the most of the goal opportunities, it was a happy day, of course.

In the second half, Manchester City played better. Pep Guardiola made several rotations due to the lack of effectiveness of the attack he was building by their players. Foden, Haaland and Julian Alvarez failed to take advantage of goal opportunities, it was absolute luck for Manchester United. I am happy with this result even though my heart was beating fast in the last few minutes since Doku managed to score a goal against Onana. So, congratulations to all Manchester United fans on winning the FA Cup title this season.

No one thought that Manchester united would be able to win this match, as they were able to fight till the end with all their strength to make sure that they defend the winning goal to the last minutes. It has been 2016 since M.United won the FA cup last, and this is a good season for the red devils, after they finished the league on the 8th position on the table. Will I say that this is a revenge to what M.City did to United last season, as they won Man.United 2-1 in the finals. Mainoo was the man of the match with his beautiful goal that he scored. This is a victory that United should celebrate despite their poor performance this season.

Manchester United defied the odds and won the EFA cup at the expense of Manchester City. Manchester United can prepared with one single objective which is to win the cup and they did. Ten Hag understand that this was their only way to Europe and he did his home work very well and became the eventual winners. Manchester City where very slow in this match, they were not finishing their passes and it was a bit of concern. Manchester United capitalized by the mistake between Josko and Ortega and Garnacho scored from that mistake. It wasn't long before Mainoo score another one for Manchester United. I was thinking Manchester City will attack immediately after the second half, but they had a slow start to the second half. This wasn't the Manchester City we use to know, I think fatigue has caught up with Manchester City squad, they have been working so hard all season. They did their best, congratulations to Manchester United. This win all but put an end to Chelsea Europa league ambition!!

Well hooooly cow, nobody expected this at all! United finished the season with FA cup, and they had one of the worst seasons they ever had this year, finishing the year with FA cup on a year that you considered terrible is beyond bonkers. I really assumed that City would be mad after UCL and would win this easily with a big margin. I really really did not see this coming, nobody did, a ton of people lost money on this bet for sure, it snot going to be that easy for people, but I am sure that bookies must be loving this lol. Think about all the money that was put to City to win, I am sure that billions were made just today from this game easily Sometimes we just get unlucky, it happens.

Spectacular performance from Manchester United against Manchester City. This Manchester Derby game in the FA cup final was supposed to be dominated by Manchester City. Even though Manchester City controlled most of the ball time, Manchester United had been more effective in attack. The 30th and 39th minute goal from Garnacho and Mainoo put ManU at 2-0 lead at the end of the 1st half. Manchester City were more aggressive on the second half but had to wait till 87th minute to score back a goal. But that too was not able to save them from defeat.
After a lackluster performance in the league, the FA cup title came as an compensatory prize for the team. They indeed got more recognition than Chelsea this season.

A superb shot from Doku to give City their first goal on the 87th minutes to put City back into the match. Is it too late or too early for City in this game to equalize the goal. Will Manchester united player waste this great opportunity for them to win the FA cup today. It is good if they can defend the goal till the end of the match.

Full time is over but an additional 7 minutes has been added to the match, and this should be an opportunity for either of the clubs to score another hi to win the match or end it with a PK. The tension is on Manchester united and they need to be able to calm the pressure on them from City.

United 2-1 City

There is nothing more worthy of hope now than Manchester United's sweet victory in the FA Cup final. The defense looked good from the first half, Garnacho and Mainoo were also good at taking advantage of goal opportunities. I was optimistic to see a title celebration for Manchester United soon, but Doku has put pressure on Manchester United with his 1 goal.

I don't think Manchester City will force Manchester United to concede a second goal, but the pressure on the defense is increasing. The defense must be careful and avoid mistakes in the final minutes, otherwise Manchester City may score their second goal.

Manchester United played quite well in this final match, even though Ten Hag will succeed in bringing Manchester United to win the FA title, of course Ten Hag may still have to be replaced because it makes Manchester United not really in a good condition in the EPL this season, this victory must be celebrated and everyone Manchester United supporters are certainly happy with this result because they have had bad results in the league so consoling themselves with this FA Cup can cure all their disappointment.

I know that Manchester City is not in a good condition even though they are playing with their key players but it is not producing results, I also don't want to be too quick to predict that Manchester United will win and win this FA title, but they have that chance and they shouldn't Skip it as long as you don't play defensively at the end of the match because it's possible that Manchester City will continue to attack and score goals. The safe way is that Manchester United must score more goals to be calm until the end of the match and postpone any celebrations until the match is over.  

Ten Hag's job can't be saved by any means. But what's wrong with Man City? Maybe they partied too hard after winning the Premier League. Still, we can expect City to turn things around. who knows it's Pep who wants to make this final epic, letting Man United score 2 goals before planning a comeback in the second half!
Hopefully, Ten Hag doesn't come back with a defensive approach in the second half. If Man United wins the FA Cup, they'll get to play in the Europa League next season. I'm optimistic that Manchester United can win this title.

I agreed with you that it will be very difficult for Manchester City to overcome the two-goal.Manchester United will undoubtedly employ a very cautious and strategic approach to ensure they defend their goals until the final whistle. Even if Manchester City manages to score a goal, it is unlikely they will score more than one. Despite Manchester City controlling the match and dominating possession, they have not been able to create as many clear chances as Manchester United.

Manchester United's defensive strategy, which relies heavily on counterattacks, seems to be working in their favor. With the formidable presence of Martinez anchoring their defense, I am confident that they can maintain their advantage. This tactical approach, blending disciplined defense with opportunistic counterattacks, appears to be the most effective strategy for Manchester United to achieve their aim and secure a victory in this match.

Man United were able to take a 2 goal lead just before halftime, the Man City defense looks like a total shambles when caught on the break, I really don't think they'll be able to bounce back from this deficit, which would give Man United a life line in Europe next season, and Erik Ten Haag would at least be ending his tenure as Manchester United coach with a silverware.

Man United were still offered at 1.5+ Odds to win the match, I pounced on it, along with Atletico Madrid who are also a goal up against Real Sociedad, then Juventus to win against Monza later on today, for combined for a total of 3.5+ Odds.

Manchester United have proven themselves self this was the last performance i expected from Manchester United to have scored two goals in the first half and left Manchester City clueless because from the way they were playing much pressure was coming from the side of Manchester United. Manchester City only had one shot on target and that is unlike them even with Manchester City using their full squad am still surprised at the condition Manchester City is playing in. but the problem is if Manchester united should mistakenly allow Manchester city to score that is were united will start having problem, because city will have a step to put there foot on and Manchester city should not be given   such opportunity.

And Manchester united have to keep the defense save because they know the condition of there goalkeeper and i see fans of Manchester united are happy but there is still time so they should came down the league is not yet over there celebration should be after the conclusion of the game.

I just woke up from sleep and saw that United is leading the game with two goals to nothing. From the little that I have watched the match, it seems that Manchester united is prepared for this match and they are playing pretty good. Haaland just missed a beautiful opportunity, as the ball hits the goal post and bounce out. Man City have lost some good opportunities in the first half and I hope that they will be able to out themselves back into the match. I don't think that the match will end in the favor of United.

Ten Hag's job won't be saved. Win or no, he's going to be dropped as the coach and for Man City, you won't blame them considering they just won the league title six days back and it's normal that with all the partying and merry making, it will affect their performance but I still expected they will  maintain their dominance as they are known for but they just allowed Man UTD take advantage, making costly mistakes that caused the first goal.
 Man UTD are the underdogs in this game and it seems they are usually favored in these FA cup tournaments and honestly it will do them a world of good if they can triple their lead in this second half and also don't relent in their pressure as it will be a form of consolation for them if they can carry this title being that they didn't qualify for any European competition.

If the first half closed with Manchester United leading by 1 goal, maybe Manchester City could still catch up in the second half, but because Manchester United leads by 2 goals, I think it will be very difficult for Manchester City to catch up. Honestly, I didn't follow the match from the start but the results in the first half surprised me, even more surprised after looking at the statistics, Manchester United really made this derby a chaotic derby for Manchester City.

The heck, what's going on with Manchester City lol.

Ten Hag might survive if Manchester United win FA Cup, it just really not expected Manchester United can leading for 2 goals with new formation.

But, as we know Manchester City is a team that can score a lot goals, so leading 2 goals is still not yet secure especially Manchester United doesn't have good defenses.

this is what's expected in a finals. You don't underate any team that gets to the finals regardless of thier initial lapses. Manchester City were too relaxed in Thier earlier start. Expecting to play through the United side easily and score easy goals but unexpected to so many city fans the reverse was the case in this first half play.

Another issue which pep would have to address in the dressing room is the lack of control and composure from there players. Almost all of them seames to be missing lots lo chances to Manchester United. The first goal could have been easily avoided if there heads were up but poor communication between the goal keeper and the defended resulted in a cheap goal that was scored by ganacho. I guess the result we've seen in this first half is a good one that would make the second half very Interesting and if Manchester City feels that they deserve the FA cup title, they should go for it and prove it in the second half. From the performance of Manchester United in playing w strong defense at the start of the match, you won't expected anything less than that in the second half. They would want to defend their lead with all they've got and that's actually the best decision they have left cause if they are able to effectively defend this Match till the end, it's a Manchester United night we will have here.

There seems to be something wrong with your eyes. I'm not saying Man United doesn't have a chance, but their opportunity is not great. However, because they can bring back players who have just recovered from injury in this match, I emphasize that Man United could make a surprise. For now, it looks like the surprise has happened because Man United unexpectedly took a 2-0 lead over Man City.

Seems unbelievable with Manchester United success leading awhile over 2-0 against Manchester City in the final of FA Cup match, ball possession Manchester City dominance over 75% with Manchester United only controlling 25% on first half match but most effective with three shots on target scoring two goals.
Its not problem for Manchester United indeed not controlling ball possession but more accuracy make attempt on the first half match, left 45 minutes later with Manchester United possibility will win the FA Cup trophy in this season after having poor performance in Premier League match?
Interested waiting for second half match will Pep Guardiola change his tactician behind conceded two goals.

Manchester City have managed to handle manage the game quite well in this first half, tried not to commit any major error on the backline in being more defensive, allowing Manchester City to have much of the ball but, attacking them on a break, forcing the Manchester City defense to make a mistake, get into position in those pocket of spaces and just placing the ball in the net. They’ve done more than manage in this first half, it could have easily been 3 goals but, had one disallowed due to offside. Manchester City tried to keep a very wide high line to maintain its position pressing forward but, it’s turning out to be something they would regret.
They are a team that could always attempt a come back so, it would be interesting to see what changes Pep could effect on the game in the second half.
