If teams miss opportunities like Chelsea did at the beginning of the second half and Liverpool towards the end then I wouldn't be surprised by a penalty shootout. But I think that the teams are already seriously tired and now in 30 minutes of extra time someone will make a mistake. At the moment Liverpool look much closer to scoring a goal.

Yup it looks like it. The match is getting dull now towards the end with just a couple of minutes to go. The match was decent tho. I mean it lacked some moments in front of the goal but if you enjoy Liverpool's press, that's always a delight. And I enjoyed watching Luis Diaz play too... He kinda reminds me of Eden Hazard. Such a good signing by Klopp.

Edit: Reading Diaz's wiki. It was Tottenham that was interested in him first but then Liverpool hijacked the deal. Cheesy

It looks like the match will be settled on penalties. Neither Chelsea nor Liverpool were able to score a single goal and made them have to play with 120 minutes. Yes, both teams played well, they could actually create a potential goal, but they didn't get that goal until now. They still have to compete through penalty shootouts which are sure to be tense.

The first half of the extra time is over and the game is still nil to nil.looking at what is happening in the seconds half of the game Liverpool is still struggling a way out but the Blues refuse to accept defeat, I think the game is a tougher one for Liverpool today.looking at their possession in the both half of the game Liverpool is doing more better than the Blues. I think the game will end up with a penalty shot out where I will be seeing Liverpool defeating their rival and lifting up the Emirates FA Cup tonight.

The 90mins has ended and officially into the first Half of the extra time. When the match started, there was much expectation that Liverpool will win, but as it stands now, it is obvious that any of them can win the match.
Jurgen Klopp seems to have chosen the champions league over this FA cup as expected. This is because Salah is out since, Keita is odd too and now Van dijk is off as well. It seems that Van dijk has slight shift in the thign and Klopp doesn't want to risk it the more. This match is very much open for any club to win now.

It hasn't been very enjoyable to see no goal so far but there is still a nice competition between them. It is extra time and I wonder whether my prediction will won. I thought like it would end in a draw and Chelsea would defeat Liverpool after extra time. But so far the game tells me the opposite as Liverpool have found many more chances. But we are talking about a team like Chelsea here too. They know how to deal with this kind of very strong teams well. Let's see if they'll make it.

Second half has been Reay amazing, lots of chances and lots of balls on the cross bar. Personally, I have a feeling that, the R. Lukaku substitute Ziyech should have have done far before Tuchel effected it. I mean if we look at it, he wasn't doing much in the attack, not in defence nor attack. As it is, Ziyech is finding it difficult to get into the game but his Challenging moment with the ball against Alexander from the Liverpool side was promising. His swift left and right is something that was missing with R. Lukaku in this game.
Again as I said earlier, Luis Diaz needs to be marked closely, his made the mkst impact in this match although, Robertson has got the best chance. I wonder how he made the bar out of that attempt. Is the Vam Dijk substitution really for the best? I truth Klopp but, I don't know what to make of this!

Really dissapointed with the match i was expecting lots of goals between these two teams but they just didnt make a show today.
We are now in extra time and still not mich is hapoening in the game and i think we will see penalties in this duel

The free-kick was especially good, it's a pity Alonso hit the crossbar. In fact, teams play equal football and both have chances. As I said, the pre-match quotes overestimated Liverpool. Now they are more adequate and at the moment are as follows:

Looking at the fact that, Chelsea haven't been in the best of form lately makes the possibility of them winning anything of this game a rather difficult say. As it is now, Liverpool has been the dominant side with Chelsea doing all they could to push back and its only worked so well but, I don't think should seat back and keep the pressured with the hopes of a counter attack while, Liverpool gets to come out them all 90minutes. It's exhausting and sooner than later should they play defence, Liverpool is sure to find a way unto the goal. But considering Chelsea's mediocre form for a top 4 club, they were doing kinda ok vs Liverpool in the first half. They had a couple of decent chances with Pulisic and another one with Marcos Alonso. While Liverpool was dominating the first part of the first half, Chelsea kinda bounced back and found their tempo too. Let's see what adjustments Klopp and Tuchel make for the second half. I feel like 1 - nil for either is most likely.

Then I must have missed the best parts, by the time I'd tuned in Salah had already gone off injured (was it bad?) and had time to see even Alisson make good saves. Feels a bit like a tight chess game you'd expect, was really hoping for early goals but I guess this was always going to be borderline. Lukaku seems to have found a way to manhandle VVD, wonder why our defence so off the ball today... even Konate trying from range huh?

Liverpool played well attacking. 30 Minutes passed with several chances from Luis Diaz and Thiago. The attacks carried out by Liverpool should not make them neglect to defend because Chelsea can be dangerous on the counter-attack. Liverpool need to remember that there are more important finals to win, so be careful not to get any important players injured.
