Unless media outlets have been given private beta access to test the interface before launch, I will take any future recommendation by BitcoinMedia with a very large grain of salt. Lazy media these days just reproduce press releases.
Well as a media outlet, I hope BitcoinMedia.com can remain as unbiased as possible when reporting news (the site, not the user) and press releases.   Currently contributing to the site, I like knowing there are no conflict of interests in the background (and I also hope the things I am posting are a little bit better than reproduced press releases, look for that "Bitcoin Porn" seal of quality / spam / http://bitcoinmedia.com/bitcoinica-three-days-passes-tradehill-second http://bitcoinmedia.com/updated-solidcoin-attack-method-used-in-namec  http://bitcoinmedia.com/mt-gox-taking-over-bitcointalk-the-official-u / spam / )
If you take your head out of your ass long enough you would notice the comments in one of those stories by Lanie Grace. This is a pseudonym used by BitcoinExpress. Why is he posting this fud ?

1.Bruce Wagner has nothing to do with bitcoin media-how many times does this have to be repeated? cryptoexchange was intending to launch on the show and has nothing to do with bruce either.
2.Ive had long discussions with cryptoexchanger and believe the platform they are bringing out will be great for bitcoin. They have spent a great deal of money on security and getting everything in order. Maybe if you spent less time wearing a tin foil hat and speaking to people they would share stuff with you .
3. I copy and pasted a forum post.
4.Ive defended the bitcoinmedia blog since noagendamarket left with people saying it has gone to shit.
5.Which competing exchange told you to post this shit in the forum and why didnt you contact people first with your concerns ? Lots of things get posted on the blog from youtube videos to reviews to personal opinions. Take what you read with a grain of salt because bitcoinmedia has been a totally volunteer job which I see no one else stepped up for. The pr department of bitcoin is non existent. Why post this on the forum which looks like an accusation of impropriety because it talks about a new bitcoin exchange?
6. What is mt gox paying you to do their dirty work ? Its about time a professional exchange was started to compete with them. The fact 90% of bitcoin infrastructure is owned by them and as soon as a promising competitor wants to start up they get attacked seems a bit suspicious to me. This post reeks of a hit piece.

FWIW I get a lot of behind the scenes access to many different sites before they are released. Dont be jealous be happy there is someone in the community these sites trust enough to entrust with their news. No wonder some businesses avoid bitcoin because of bitcoin forum members calling them scammers.

P.S. CoinMedia is not a journalist. Calling them a "media outlet" is retarded. Its a BLOG.

Crypto X Change
There is no links between anyone, Crypto X Changer is a private Australian PTY LTD company with no connections to any of the mentioned media companies

Awesome, thanks for that clarification.

Then now I should be asking the user (not the site) BitcoinMedia why they are recommending your services without using it ? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.521437

We had extensive talks with BitcoinMedia and other Media explaining why our Exchange will benefit the Bitcoin community, and from what we can tell BitcoinMedia are just as excited as we are about the launch of our product to the market.

We look forward to benefiting the community.

Perhaps that says more about the value to put on BitcoinMedia's recommendations than it does about Crypto X Changer (which I wish well in its launch). Unless media outlets have been given private beta access to test the interface before launch, I will take any future recommendation by BitcoinMedia with a very large grain of salt. Crypto X Change
The reason that Crypto X Changer is appearing everywhere is because we have started to get our PR organised.

There is no links between anyone, Crypto X Changer is a private Australian PTY LTD company with no connections to any of the mentioned media companies, there will be advertising in many places for the Exchange and our other coming services. We had provided our initial post to a few media site owners.

The Exchange is a totally custom built trading platform which has taken many months to complete, with many integrated features.
Many advanced security features have been implemented for the safety and security of our exchange users.

Regards

The Crypto X Changer Team

I'm confused, what is the point to this post?
I believe you missed the question, Why do I feel funny?

This negates the rest of your odd post where you have taken the information that I am attempting to not string together into some weird conspiracy theory, but rather I am generally fucking curious as to what is going on here.

It seems like the only facts you have are that they follow each other on twitter, and theres a post on BitcoinMedia about it.
The other fact is the post BitcoinMedia (the user, not the site) has made on top of the post on BitcoinMedia (the site, not the user), rings as odd to me is all, I question it, I am attempting to discuss it on a forum even.  So I am glad you asked for clarification of my post, I am confusing at times and am aware of it.  So the fact is everything I posted.

I follow the Free Masons on twitter and I'm a Jew, does that mean I'm an elder of zion and want to take over the world ?

I'm confused, what is the point to this post?
Is there a message your trying to convey, or are you simply trying to formulate an idea thats not based on fact, rather your personal opinion?

Do you have any proof that Bitcoin Media, Bruce Wagner, OnlyOneTV, and the upcoming CryptoXChanger have anything to do with each other?
It seems like the only facts you have are that they follow each other on twitter, and theres a post on BitcoinMedia about it.

Forgive me if this comes off with some haste, I'm only trying to be prudent here.

I follow the Free Masons on twitter and I'm a Jew, does that mean I'm an elder of zion and want to take over the world ?

Please take no offense here, but enlighten me!  Smiley

Over in the Marketplace forums there is an announcement of a new site, the "Crypto X Changer" https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.521437

The site boldly claims "Please note we will not be disclosing any of our additional & special features until our official Launch Day."

Their launch will be sometime this month.  The launch will be live on OnlyOneTV / The Bitcoin Show.

First reply in the thread is from BitcoinMedia recommending the service that little is known about, and then this post on the Bitcoin Media site is made http://bitcoinmedia.com/69878975

So full support from a site I am currently contributing to just for the love of Bitcoin https://bitcoin.org.uk/forums/topic/213-need-bitcoinmedia-contributors/

Looking quickly into this http://twitter.com/cryptoxchanger/ has their first Follower and person they are Following is BitcoinMedia and BruceWagner accounts.

So a connection is there.  Promotion is being made.  Why do I feel funny?

I was going to make a post with this information in a little tighter and funner to read way, but honestly I have no intentions of trying to queer any deal between whoever is currently behind Bitcoin Media, Bruce Wagner, OnlyOneTV, and the upcoming CryptoXChanger by using the BitcoinMedia site as a platform for such curiosities.
