While the nuke killed a lot of people; a lot of people (both Americans and Japanese) would have died fighting because the Japanese government decided it would be willing to let most (if not all) it’s citizens die to keep their power. There was no “non-violent” way out there.

This just implies the the US have not stopped creating weapons of mass destruction, though they are invading countries who they said are making weapons of mass destruction but eventually it is them who are making it.
Yes, because the US government needs to have WMDs to remind countries not to attack. It is a whole different situation when the US invades a country to stop them from owning a WMD that they’ll probably use to destroy another country with (think places like N Korea).
