So what? Does the chinese mining more bitcoin or having a higher trading volume frighten you? Who would be better then, the Americans? The Russians? It is a non issue, something we cant do anything about and not at all something to fear.
Well if the chinese government decides to confiscate all the hardware and screw up the bitcoin ecosystem (51% attacks for instance), they could because they have all the mining power. Like pro-bitcoin supporters like to say we couldn't do anything to avoid or impede this, because there is no central authority in bitcoin ...OP sounds crazy

Oil is oil. Coal is coal. They pay the same price for energy as everyone else. The only reason the electricity is so cheap is because they have not concerns at all about fucking up the environment with pollution and in Sweden they don't like fucking up the Earth. The entire planet pays a price for that 'cheap' mining in China. That is for sure.

Do you think the global warming is in part caused by the Bitcoin mining factories in China? I have just read an article saying that we just broke the record for the hottest year nine times in succession and I think this is a very big concern for the entire world because the Chinese are not just screwing with their own population and environment but their money-hungry economy is prioritizing the profit over the wellbeing of the planet which will lead to a disaster for the future generations. Maybe the sci-fi movies will become a reality real soon

But then you also have to member, they are two thirds of the worlds population as well as two thirds of the worlds bitcoin hash power. If you are not Chinese, you are in a minority on this planet and I believe in democracy. So I want to be a friend of China.
