The future of bicoin is depends on how it handle by the users. I beleive bitcoin future is great as it is being adopted by many and any countries. It is being popular because of its easy use and access. And, hoping that government will accept bitcoin.

Even if most of the people are surprised by bitcoin's growth, I think we are still in a beta stage. Bitcoin is yet to reach many milestones and yes in next 15 to years we might see thousands of altcoins but the core believers of bitcoin won't leave Bitcoin (even if they buy and hold any altcoin). Altcoins will have powerful fundings, founders and even the infrastructure but I don't see any reason to surpass bitcoin.

That is right if we look at the present adoption rate then we can say that in the future there will be only bitcoin a very advanced and beneficial currency and everyone will use only bitcoin for their use and the media nowadays is going very well for bitcoin as in my country I am also seeing this on media.
Bitcoin started off as a project with few people involved, originally almost alone by Satoshi, Started from the absolute zerp with no huge crowdfunding, a media buzz or the like, but it obtained it's current status just because of it's advantages and how good it is... I think this shows that this currency isn't a short project but rather a long one, I think bitcoin will even be more popular in the future.

As bitcoin is facing an huge governance problem, other projects will raise. If the network is not able to solve the miners/core-dev war this will lead to the bitcoin death in few months.
