I realize this question was probably raised before, but I believe that the answers might be changing with time, because bitcointalk community grows and because the interests and needs of people can become different in years. I recall a video on addiction that explained that people mainly become addicted because of feeling sad and lonely. When I made a thread about whether gamblers think that gambling addiction has the same reason, the answers differed a lot. Now I am curious what kind of people are gambling here. For me there is no other reson but to earn money that's all that is really matter most to me. I did everything for money and it makes me excited and I enjoy it. Yeh I believe some people enjoy life because of money well I am one of them I really enjoy my life when I have much money and gambling is really enjoying when I won a lot.

If you are betting for fun and you still feel bad if you lose huge amount of money it means you are not playing for fun but for profits. Profits making is the number one reason why people make investments and gambling is not all that different but many of us claiming to gamble for fun but feel bad because we lose and happy because we gain. but most people play gambling to get money in a short time and even then in a very large number of bets to make big profits.
In my opinion, people participate in gambling mainly because they want to make money and if they achieve that mission at the initial stage and later they started making looses, then their mission will now be different from the first one of making money but to recover their looses.
Bad concept of continuing to gamble is to try recovering those loses that you've got, it will continue the cycle instead of being satisfied with smallprofits you'll be trying to go deeper in order to win back your previous loses, reason which should be removed at the beginning of your game.

I think some gamblers cannot distinguish between typical regular gambling and gambling addiction. The two are quite different in my opinion. Typical regular gamblers who are able to withdraw from gambling without any withdrawal issues are probably not addicted. Those who have difficulty withdrawing are addicted.

Sometime I feel that some people play gambling because they need money and they do not have any skills or do not want to work hard in order to earn. So they choose to play gamble and try their luck. If the are lucky, they will get some quick bucks and if they are lucky, they will lose their money.
Yes, you're right erning money is the mostly reason if why people play gambling, maybe they will be a lucky one to win more on gambling so, they can save money, and hope they have a goal to save money while winning and not to lose again.
But i always see that people who think that gambling is a way of earn money, mostly these type of people have lost everything in gambling, and in the end they hands are empty.
