This is not exactly always the case. I think that whether or not a bounty lasts long, it does not necessarily affect the earnings that will be gotten. There are some bounty campaigns that have a specific amount that they hope to reward the bounty hunters after the campaign period, and whether a not it takes longer, does not change this.

The team can prolong the bounty to raise more money. It's very difficult for the project to survive in this market and they need all the money they can. Of course, the ICO can be a scam, but decent legit project may also use this strategy and prolong bounties to raise more.

It's a good idea, actually, to skip the signature. But six weeks is not that bad. Projects need participants and money to survive. Many projects with potential won't reach hard cap because they can't raise money in short time: people don't invest.

It's not all time that this do happen some times the longer the bounty the higher the rewards but it's not all cases. They might promised big token in the beginning and later changed their mind when the bounty comes to and end.

You are absolutely right that longer bounty will give low reward because if the bounty stays long more then time, then definitely participants will increasing and total stakes will dividing in the all bounty hunter and that's why every participants will get less stakes.
i think this is happen due to current bad market conditions because very good and strong projects is extending their launching dates for not achieving hard caps. And they continue bounty campaign longer then their final dates.
But according to me don't leave this because this is genuine market problem and soon market will recover and all things will run smoothly.
So have patience and wait for right time.

it looks like this statement is true. the longer a bountie lasts, the more people take part and as a result, your own income is getting lower and lower. thats what i'm experiencing myself right now.

The longer the bounty may cause for the more people are involved to the campaign and then comes less reward.

I don't think it's true, this is because whenever a bounty last longer could be as a result that they want more participants in who will promote their product or their hard cap is estimated at a very high amount at which they aspiring to reach.
