Of course it is. If you buy bitcoin and hold it for long-term, historically it has never given a negative return. You're not wrong, bitcoin is and always will be King Daddy in the cryptocurrency world. Everything else is a shitcoin, I see nothing to suggest I’m wrong with that statement. Seriously if you want hard money, digital property with an impregnable, indestructible network running it then bitcoin is for you. Opt out of the fiat ponzi scheme & put your net worth into bitcoin.

We already witness the ups and down of Bitcoin but still here existing and in fact going stronger, due to increasing number of investors trusting and engaging themselves plus the adoption of some countries and businesses. Compared to altcoins we can really say that Bitcoin is way better and reliable.

Thats why it is advisable for investors who are new to crypto to include Bitcoin on their portfolio. Well, its not bad to diversify because there are altcoins too that is worth to invest in. However since Bitcoin is in the top, it is wise to prioritize it.

You seem right, the market isn't healthy to see but this is just for now. The recovery is not instant that we can see it right away. The market has a huge correction and we know this gonna happen but people, the majority are still believing that it will turn back high again that is why they hold their Bitcoin. I think you did the same?

With this current situation, well, I don't just blame whales but this is just to come normally whether we like it or not. Correction is part of the market journey that we can't avoid.

Imo,, Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency for moreover long-term investment, for people who like doing the long-term investment, with high trust and value, surely, Bitcoin deserves it. It has been proven by many people who are still holding Bitcoin from era to era, from bearish to bullish during several years.
Although we know that the price ranges of Bitcoin right now are very unpredictable and the price is still under the expectation, the chance of Bitcoin to rise up again is still high, even in the year or in the next bullish.

What I cannot imagine is why people love buying Bitcoin and investing in Bitcoin when the price is really increasing and reaching almost the ATH. But when the price of Bitcoin is dropped, they are too afraid.

Actually, some altcoins are also reliable to invest in. But it needs more consideration to pick which altcoins are good and potential enough

crypto users will go to other alts to diversify their portfolio and possibly gain profits but they will always go back to btc as their main crypto holding. because as we've seen, alts come and go, but btc keeps its position in the market. we can always invest in other alts and find some profitable ones. but most of them are not worth holding long term as the lifespan is usually questionable.
this is why most crypto holders always have btc as part of their stash. because you can't question anymore its reliability.

I think the bitcoin price will increase after the month of February when the Asians will round up their new year. In the past, I remember that most Asians who hodl bitcoin sold a lot of their bitcoin during their New year season to buy gifts for their loved ones. This happened in 2018 when bitcoin price dropped from $20k down to $11k. February is a significant month in the bitcoin price history except for last year when Elon Musk and other whales pumped the price of bitcoin to an unexpected ATh. It's better to hold bitcoin than any other Alt because majority of the people go for bitcoin and when people mention cryptocurrency the first coin that comes in mind is bitcoin. It paves way for other cryptocurrencies and they all follow the price of bitcoin. If it's bearish time for bitcoin so it'll be for many other Alt coins in the market.

I would say, it depends on individual especially if they already have a knowledge about this crypto market then some will choose a certain altcoins to invest and make a profit from it. Then reinvest it back to Bitcoin and try to trade or HODL depending on what price target they want.

So, the bottom line is Bitcoin is always be the final choice and altcoins will be a temporary investment to make some money. But as time goes by, price of Bitcoin is always increasing thus, it's hard to own a single Bitcoin if you plan to buy some, so it's better to wait till it drops or wait the bear trend.

Bitcoin has definitely spent more than a few days after dropping to rise back in the past, with prolonged bear markets lasting more than a year. we call it ATH, not the maximum price because that maximum means it can't/maybe not go up again...

if someone says altcoins are better than bitcoin then that person must check his mental health. I still remember the vitalik comment about Bitcoin, he said the bitcoin fee was very expensive but in fact, the ethereum fee was very unreasonable. investing money in bitcoin for a better future is a very wise thing.

'reliable' is actually the correct word to use regarding bitcoin if you want to compare it to other cryptocurrencies, however, we cannot expect anything other than this because bitcoin got much more market cap compared to other coins, and having this bigger market will make it more stable with less sharp price movement which makes it suitable for investing even or people who do not want to take too much risk, however even if you compare the bitcoin price to the other markets such as real estate you will see more sharp movements in bitcoin market but still the rule is to take the risk to earn the reward.

Some people are better off investing in alts, too, and they are the ones who leverage from bitcoin going so far down and snagging some coins that perform on that same time period. If you're not the type of guy that analyzes everything in order to get quick gains, investing in bitcoin and keeping them as is for a long time is the way to go, as what others here have done so far. It's lazy and straight to the point, but it works.

There are just those people that are taking advantage of some altcoins for short-term gains. I went full with Bitcoin after I sold my Ethereum back around 2018-2019, as I do not want to touch the altcoins side as much as I can for now after I gain a lot of losses when I first day traded some other coins in the top 10.
And yeah, as some mentioned in here, don't even bother with shitcoins or even meme coins.
