Hello.

I have been investing in Bitcoin as well as other coins for a long time. Some of these coins have disappointed me. After reviewing investments so far, I have found that investing in Bitcoin is the smartest thing. Although the price of Bitcoin has dropped a lot, this coin does not disappoint me because I have full confidence in this coin. I think and believe that the price of this currency will not decrease for a long time, it will one day exceed its maximum value. Which happened towards the end of 2021.
If you get lucky, you might get higher returns on an altcoin than on Bitcoin, given how much Bitcoin has already grown and for how long it's been around. However, it's also very likely that you'd lose more on this because altcoins bleed harder during the bear runs, and some never come back to their former glory. Bitcoin, I believe, is the safest investment among cryptocurrencies. It means that the returns might not be that high (up to 3x, I think, but not more than that in the near future), but it also means that you won't lose much money short-term, and that if you wait long enough, you probably won't lose any money.

Most importantly and don't even think about investing in Shitcoin. So far your decision is pretty good and trust everything long term in Bitcoin. While it is undeniable that altcoins are listed on CMC, they cannot be underestimated if you invest in the long term. Only one if you play on memecoin then anything can be lost in no time. Especially when the market all shows prices are going down, nothing can be avoided.

Keep hold of Bitcoin and keep taking when it's discounted.

Most reliable is a title that Bitcoin has likely earned.  Considering it's market cap is so much larger than everything else, it stands to reason that it would be the most stable and reliable.  This is also why so much institutional money has flooded into Bitcoin.  Sure, Ethereum has more mechanics in place and as many have stated is likely to outperform Bitcoin from here, but it's also much more risky.  Additionally, coins like MATIC and SAND have vastly outperformed Bitcoin over the last year, so you can't say Bitcoin is the "best" investment out there using real returns, and it certainly doesn't provide the best earning opportunities (MATIC/SAND staking in the Sandbox currently pays 60% interest).  Reliable though, Bitcoin has that locked for now.

It's a matter of perspective. For someone who bought it in 2020, it hasn't really decreased at all. One person will look at the all time high and that we went 50% down from it and say that it's down a lot. Someone else will look 2 years back and see that at that time people were hoping to see us beat the 2018 ATH by any number. We were in a bear market for years eying 20k as a crucial level to break once again and now we're sitting at 2x that price. This is in fact a very good price for Bitcoin to hold and we could stay at 40-50k level for another year or 2.
If you feel down by that 50% drop, you have to realize that more than half of Bitcoins is illiquid and people who bought them did it at prices much lower than 40k. If I were to sell now, I'd still be 600 - 800% in profit.

Bitcoin is doing great, even if it drops down to 25k it's still going to remain one of the best performing assets in the world.

You shouldn't look at past experiences to predict the future. Because that's how we ended up with altcoin market in the first place - people read stories about pumps and lambos and start chasing x1000 alts only to end up losing all their money.

Look at the fundamentals - Bitcoin is getting institutional adoption, not altcoins. Bitcoin operates for 13 years without critical bugs, network breach incidents and other problems that became normalized for altcoins. Bitcoin has proven itself, while alts are being created every day, only to disappear in a few years. Some of the alts that were top 10 some years ago are not forgotten. The same will happen with many of the current top 10.

Op have mentioned about his investments other than bitcoin some have disappointed him. If I'm not wrong he has invested on some of the memecoins looking for short term benefits. Most of the altcoins are following the pattern of bitcoin, and I've a thinking people can consider investing into altcoins same as bitcoin.

I don't think ethereum, Solana, polkadot, BNB will get vanished. They also have set a good record, but the profiting varies. With bitcoin the profiting seems high and gained the trust and higher acceptance level. Don't conclude on the market, because the move can be on any direction.
I agree with you on ethereum, Solana, polkadot, BNB.

I think and believe that the price of this currency will not decrease for a long time, it will one day exceed its maximum value.

Well, we literally just hit 2022's all-time lows of around $35k literally just a month ago; and right now we're just around 20% higher. Not sure how you think that the price will not decrease lol.

As for altcoins — yea, most people tend to underestimate how hard it is to pick(and time) alts that outperform. Most people are just better off buying BTC.

It is the most invested currency in cryptocurrency. And although the price of this coin has decreased many times before, in a few days the price has reached the desired level again. So it can be said that the price of this coin will reach the desired price again.
