If it would be hyped again then its possible but if not then those who bought on the peak would definitely be holding on indefinite days which cant really be assured if it would reach out again on that price point.
Its really hard to determine because whenever a coin being hyped and reach out peak prices and dumped then you wouldnt ever know on when it would recover and this is how unpredictable the market is.
Sorry for those who got caught on the dumped and leaving out on waiting for some time and for those who do panic sell because they are seeing its already dumping then sorry for your loss.
Talking about of point of Dogecoin? It is actually a meme coin which is mostly been used on gambling due to cheap price and big supply or simply goes fine with tecnicalities.

I am not a huge believer in dogecoin myself but if you ask purpose then what is the purpose of so many coins either? I mean Bitcoin alone was sufficient why the needs of BCH, litecoin, and all others? I don't think every coin serves a purpose.

Dogecoins was my favorite coin a year ago or two when the coin was near worthless and was meant to be fun. I used to gamble with dogecoins and in various groups, we used to tip each other with the coin for fun and I recall some chatting websites were there where users would get some small dogecoins every now and then.

Now though, the purpose has changed because they are pumped beyond imagination so I don't use them at all.

I use it before for gambling since BTC and ETH have high transaction fee it was one of my alternative to have a cheaper fee and continue to gamble.
And now it is being used to manipulate others being hype or pump and dump.

Dogecoin will still be a meme coin, but that could be changed as we do not know what will happen in the future. Dogecoin can be back to the lower price soon, but it will increase again in the future, especially if bitcoin price can start another rally and if that happens, we will see another bull run. But dogecoin can be a coin used in many gambling sites because the coin is suitable for gamble.

Maybe you are right but look at the price of Dogecoin, that is very surprising isn't it. If that only a meme coin, nonsense, it is supposedly it has died already but we can't imagine that it still going to survive, unlike the others.
So I realize that even it was of no value to the others but might not know that it serves to have a purpose to the others. Many investors and traders still using this one, they valued Doge more than what the majority had to think about this. In fact, we have done already with the hypes but still, it has a healthy price, this will mean that there something about Doge and we just underestimate this coin.

Dogecoin was created as a joke from the very beginning. However, what makes it different from other similar coins is that it's way older and thus had a lot of time to get a community of users behind it. I remember that years ago, Dogecoin was one of the most popular coins to use for gambling, being third after Bitcoin and Ethereum in this regard. It was cheap, transactions were fast, and the mere possibility of betting with tons of something felt nice (compare betting 100 DOGE to 0,00075 BTC psychologically, and the difference in prices was way higher than that). Then everyone sort of forgot about it, but from time to time something reminded people of it and it experienced some movement. After that, Doge became Musk's toy, basically.

In general, when the gas price was very high on the Ethereum blockchain, I constantly used Dogecoin to withdraw or deposit cryptocurrencies on exchanges through Dogecoin, since cryptocurrency transactions through Dogecoin are very fast and most importantly, it is very cheap, but of course Dogecoin is just a meme coin which is very popular and therefore Dogecoin will rise in price to new heights in the future and therefore we need to monitor Dogecoin carefully.

There are many cheap fast alternative tokens that have a strong project background and have a solid potential like BNB, EOS, XRP. It would better to just settle on those than relying so much on DOGE. DOGE soars up on value just because of Elon Musk and his followers, What if Elon Musk abandons that DOGE? Price would crash for sure and people who are relying on it too much would be crazy because of that kind of idealism.

if there are alternative coins with better feature and usecase than doge , no doubt anymore we should choose them. If elon stop shilling and even never call it again , less traders will care to dogecoin again. they will thinking no more trigger to take short opportunity to gain profits. Trading by following trend or Fomo will have good result if we come early, but if don't we will rekted.

Dogecoin can also be used to gamble in some websitess. With its low fees and cheap price, your bankroll will last longer rsther than using bitcion to gamble. Other than that, I don't see more purpose of dogecoin in the crypto space. It is just a memcoin for me, and the developer of that coin also admitted that is was only created for that purpose. Elon Musk just made it popular for some unknown reason. I'm sure he knows that dogecoin has unlimited anount of supply and the top 10 holders of that coin owns a very large amount of supply which can drive the price down a lot.
