Dogecoin was created as a joke and that defines its rule which is just being a meme coin, but before the hype and price pump, Dogecoin used to be the first stop place for transferring large funds because of its low transaction fee not up till now that the market is bullish with increased fees and slow transactions time.
Is there really any points of dogecoin other than to meme it and use it as a pump and dump?
There's no another point and that's the main purpose why doge coin already created in the past. people didn't have big expectation but the things were getting changed so fast until elon shilling for the doge coin and that was changing the doge coin to be a pump and dump coin for sure. The creator of doge coin has confirmed that he created doge just for fun only dude.

In addition to what @Twinkledoe said, there are many third party platforms that allows wrapping Doge to different blockchains and stake/farm. It's definitely not the original but it somehow increases demand for the coin.
Before the hype of doge came in, I used this old alt for transfer purposes from one exchange to another as it is cheaper than moving your coins using bitcoin. However, because of this hype, the withdrawal fees in doge is getting expensive already as compared to other alts like XRP/TRX/LTC. The main use cases before were in gambling and transfer purposes. Right now, it somehow changes because the fees are getting expensive under this network. And now, it is like a speculative coin especially if Elon tweets about it.
