Lionel Messi advertising a particular drink does not mean he must be a consumer of the drink... he is just paid to tell you that such drink exists and how fine the drink is. You  are only required to check if you like and need what they advertised or not. No one will force you to buy what you don't have need of.

He doesn't have to be a consumer but he should be able to know that the drink is what they say it is.
Imagine being the face of an energy drink when in fact the drink isn't an energy drink. They just use your face for marketing strategy.
People like Messi should have their team check out those brands or companies before accepting deals from them.
Are you suggesting that in such a case, the team will take such drink to the laboratory to test if the drink is actually an energy drink? Next Messi advertises a footwear,  the team will have to test the quality of the leather if it conforms with what the manufacturer said it to be?

Well, if you must know, for every country, there are agencies responsible for checking quality and conformity base on their standards.  They issue approvals before goods and services are released to their public consumers.

Big celebrities shouldn't even be promoting what they have no idea about. Aside from the fact that they could be complicit in deceiving people knowingly or unknowingly, it's bad for their image.
That means you are suggesting celebrities should not advertise cars, aeroplane,  alcoholic drinks and indeed anything that poses danger to the users? Like I said before, it is not their duty to check the quality and safety of the things they advertise but that of the government of the country.... there are numerous agencies that check standard and conformity and certify items and services safe for their citizen. The covid19 vaccine was a good example of celebrities advertising something but it is the government that have the power to decide if it is safe for their citizens or not. We don't have to be emotional about these things.

Avoid being influenced to buy a coin or any project, learn to do your own research, do some background check about the project, check the aims and objective of the project, the scope of the project and what they want to do, and not some unrealistic magic just to eat investors money.
Unfortunately, in reality many people are very easily deceived by the influencers or celebrities of their idols. So they immediately easily follow whatever their idols do and promote, unfortunately, even without them having any prior understanding of what it is. This incident often happens, even in my country, there are Several artists create crypto projects and influence their followers to invest in the projects they design, then give various promises as if they can get very abundant results. They are also humans, when faced with their idols who also promise huge profits, they will definitely be very easily tempted. Unfortunately they don't understand what they are investing in. And after that, their money was gone.

This is the difference between someone who only follows the trends of their idols and someone who always prepares themselves with various insights and knowledge before doing something. Moreover, investing in fields that are new to them. They will wisely and intelligently research first and really study what it is, without looking at who they influence.

Brand ambassadors do not really need to know everything about what they advertise or use same. Companies and businesses pay them because of their audience... people that will know about the business or product through their platform.
I disagree with this.
If you're a brand ambassador you should know what you're being an ambassador of. You are an ambassador of that brand. You know what an ambassador is right?
You're a corporate representative. You're like the public face of the company or brand so it will be very foolish not to know what it is you're a fact of.
It might be possible that you don't know the nitty-gritty of the whole thing, but you should know enough to know if it's a good brand/company or not.

Lionel Messi advertising a particular drink does not mean he must be a consumer of the drink... he is just paid to tell you that such drink exists and how fine the drink is. Secondly, they can never lack deals, so why rush to take every available deal as far as the cheque is big?
I can excuse small and upcoming celebrities and influencers because they're just trying to get money but the already-made celebrities have no excuse.

I was a victim of this. There was a coin I bought and didn't sell the coin when I saw a good profit from it because the project team said they had made a provision for Caesar calls, and the price would increase if they achieved the Caesar calls. After the Caesar calls were achieved the price of the token didn't grow above the existing price before the Caesar calls were made, and with anger and regret, I ended up selling the token at a low price.
Never allow yourself to buy a token after an influencer on social media posts about the token on his timeline. All the crypto influencers are in for their paycheck and they will make you hold a token even though you see an opportunity to make a profit with their common statement "I'm bullish on this or that".

I doubt that people who are already interested in crypto can be influenced by celebrities, it only works on people who don't have any crypto and know nothing about it. However, crypto enthusiasts can be influenced by so called crypto experts - those who have made their name in crypto by starting a company, launching a project or even just talking about crypto a lot. This is as dangerous as getting influenced by a clueless celeb, because the experts can too promote a scam if they are paid well enough. Or they can promote a shitcoin that will collapse because its a shitcoin.

When it comes to making financial investments with your own money, believing or following the advice or instructions of an influencer should be the worst thing or mistake you can make. Many people have perished as a result of mindlessly following the counsel of internet elites. We all know they've been paid for it; who doesn't do or say what they're instructed when they've already been paid? None, I believe.

I don't always blame them for doing so, but if we were in their shoes, we might have done the same. Money's power is uncontrollable these days, as the world evolves. When something appears to be a fraud or is already displaying red flags, I believe it is their responsibility not to promote such a project. Because they risk losing their devoted supporters and having a bad name attached to their names, damaging their reputations for a shitload of money.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
It's only a fool that thinks brand ambassadors aren't paid specially to run 'em ads - given that whatever they're advertising would be made to to its fullest for the ads to motivate the audience... E.g, I've been seeing multiple ads on the gram about some local/exotic games like ; ayo, poker, crash ect... These celebrities would be playing with specialized app on their screens - now that creates a false impression in the minds of the audience. Sometimes, I go as far as checking out Thier reviews and, the outcome is usually terrible... Don't try this shit!

Why you still intend to fall and believe these crypto influencers and brand ambassadors when you can actually influence yourself through consistent research and studies in the crypto forum and market. That way, at least you know that you are gaining legit and reliable information out from your own diligence to learn ultimately. Believing on them instantly is never a smart choice without doing your own part through research and through your own experience in the market.

Fans really like their favorite celebrities because of the characters they pretend to be in movies. when these celebrities tell people to use a product, their devoted fans often give it a try and develop trust for that brand.

We can't really know what someone is like because we don't know them personally. I don't trust celebrities who advertise things because I know they are paid to do it. Instead, I rely on my own research.

Some celebrities promote gambling websites because they make a lot of money from it. But it's important to know that once someone starts gambling, it can be really tough to stop. People can lose all their savings, have problems with their family, and even become very sad, stressed, depressed.

The influencers you hear of, people are into it because of the monetary aspect of it. If the monetary aspect of being an influencer is removed today, you will discover that there won't be anyone calling themselves or doing the work of an influencer again. The work of being an influencer will exist no more in people's minds.

What I am trying to say is that influencers are only after the money, they don't care about what will be of what they are promoting to their subscribers or followers. Once the offer of the product or project is enticing to them, you see them sugarcoating the project the next day.

In the next week or months, you will find them promoting the same product but a different brand, forgetting the ones they talked about before. If anything like a scam comes out of it, you get them denying their involvement in it in the first place

This is why I don't go by what influencers talk about since they only care about the money given to them and not your safety or notices of the dangers ahead to avoid

Well, you have spoken the truth about majority of these influencers and ambassadors. They know the name of the brand where they've made a deal but they don't know wholly what they are.

The problem on these influencers is they don't really do research before accepting a deal whether it is an x deal or a brand deal with a contract. I've seen a bunch of them that never talked any sense of what they have promoted.

What matters to them is that they've been paid and that's all enough for them.
What many influencers care about is to make endorsement deals and make money for themselves. Some do not care about the reputation of the product they are influencing and they keep making people to buy the product even when other make continuous complain about it. Whether a music artiste or any kind of influencers, these people are only after what they will again especially for the crypto influencers that keep making innocent investors to invest in bad or scam projects because they are been offered huge amount of money for promotion.

No I disagree with you, I think any one who's been contacted to promote a particular product or become an ambassador to any brand ought to make out time to know the product he or she is trying to use his or her influence to promote before signing the deal with the company l, you don't go about running an advertisement for a brand you have not tried simply because you are a celebrity knowing that a lot of your fans may be scammed their bodies destroyed because they thought being a super star running the ad for the company you are also making use of the product or brand as the case may be. I think it is necessary for all the stars, celebrities to do a review of the products they tend to advertise before doing so.

Recently in my country Nigeria a man made a review of a particular skin care products which has been destroying so many peoples body according to him but the CEO of the company denied and even threaten to sue him to court but funny enough when the guy shared the video of some of her product it was discovered that the  product that some brand influencers has been promoting has no (NAFDAC) National Agency for Food & Drug Administration & Control registration.

I like to treat everyone as a friend 🔹
✂️

They don't use what they advertise: A good leader must show a good example, that is what leadership entails, you lead then others follow but influencers don't buy crypto or coins they advertise on their page, the only thing they want is their money. You will be shocked that they received the influencing fees in BTC and USDT instead of the crypto they advertised, they know very well that the coin they are trying to advertise is fake and not worth it but they will sell it out to the public by the way, just to do their bad job for fans to buy what they don't use.

A good actor and one who knows how to lead is followed by everyone, and if that person advertises something, his fans are eager to use it. We know there are many influential people who use the good stuff and advertise the bad stuff, so they get huge sums of money from it.  We notice in various social media when an actor or a big influencer advertises something they never use but promote it for their fans to use. There are many actors who advertise crypto to individuals, accepting fees in Bitcoin and USDT. There are many such actors and influencers who share fake ads and sell them in the market to advertise them. And the people who see those ads buy them, and those things are always bad, never the good things they sell. And people see those ads and buy those products and get fooled, that's basically how many people advertise and sell fake stuff.

What makes one a crypto influencer these days? They don’t need to have in-depth knowledge of crypto or blockchain, they can simply read an article online and rephrase it to make it look like theirs. Most crypto influencers don’t know what they are saying half of the time, they are like actors reading a well written script. Influencers are in it for the money, they are not interested in making a difference, they just want to make money from their followers. That’s why we see many influencers promote projects without doing their due diligence whether the project is genuine or not.
Sarcastically a crypto influencer is any one on the internet with more than 1k followers who talk about crypto. They just copy what is trending, put it in their own words and spur it out without doing their own research or having a solid personal opinion backed up with facts. These people are worst than those antibitcoin campaigners at least these guys are doing it for something other than money. The crypto influencers and ambassadors are doing it for the money - they promote scam projects and we know those who promoted FTX. Personally, I feel that when a promote fails and the clients are scammed, these crypto influencers and ambassadors should be arrested too because many of their followers blindly follow them.

The only thing worth promoting or trying to influence people to accept is Bitcoin. If someone is influencing people to buy or accept bitcoin, that is something I can get behind but if they are promoting a Bitcoin scam like BlockFi, FTX, Celsius, etc. we need to call them out as scams and be ready to direct people to the tools/services that aren't scams.

I like to keep things nice and simple.

Buy bitcoin
Self custody
Secure your seed phrase
Run your own node

If everybody does these 4 things, then it is only a matter of time before we unequivocally win and bitcoin dominates the entire world.

I often see this on YouTube but I'm not interested and will just press the next video button. They can use many ways to attract more people to join them. We have to be careful and do research is the best way to avoid being scammed.

Usually, they get paid for certain projects to help spread information about the project. They have nothing to do with the new project and just accept the job offer and get paid. And we can't blame what they give their followers, especially money.

But of the many influencers, some influencers are truly honest in sharing information with their followers. Usually, such influencers have very large and loyal followers.
Good influencers these days are actually rare to find as most of them are just doing it to satisfy theirselves financially. However, there are still few who can be well trusted when it comes to the projects they will promote, but still if you jump to investing without doing your own diligence to research, then you won’t still be successful in the end. Crypto influencers are only there to do their job and even promote projects they aren’t even sure if they will be successful in the future, so investors should also do their part through researching and studying the projects before they decide to invest.

It's funny that some people underestimate the power of advertising.
I'm not an expert on how the mind or brain works but I know that if you walk into a mall to buy a product you're not very familiar with and you see different brands of those products, some of the things that will help you make a choice are
1. The products you see often: You'll most likely go for a product you've always seen being advertised on TV, billboards, or social media and the internet. You'll hardly go for a brand you've never seen before.

2. You'll go for a brand with beautiful packaging. We may not know it but we're influenced by the packaging of a product. We will most likely pick the one with more beautiful packaging.

3. You might just go ahead and pick the product you've seen your favorite celebrity using or talking about.

We will make these choices and feel we made the decision ourselves but Nah, we were influenced by something or someone.
It's the same thing with the crypto community. We'll see influencers on YouTube talking about a particular project. Saying all these good things about the project people fall for it without really knowing what the project is.

Sometimes on my Twitter timeline, I see people talking about a particular project even with a hashtag (#). I just know that the project is running a serious marketing campaign and if I'm not convinced I just ignore it.

You won't ultimately blame these influencers and celebrities, they may not know if it's a scam project they are advertising or not, with the way it would be designed and presented to them that even with research done you still might not find a fault at that moment cause these scamming project are also good as fvck in covering their track.
Don't be quick to let them off the hook, they are supposed to do due diligence. Some of them are just greedy and they forget that they also have a reputation to protect. Celebrities and influencers command a lot of followership and they have many persons looking up to them. Most crypto owners know this that's why they pay them to advertise their projects and whatever product they endorse or promote, some gullible people will follow them blindly. There are projects promoted by celebrities that turned out to be scams but the recent one is that of Ronaldinho, he's been accused of running a scam crypto project but he claims he was only a brand ambassador. Imagine the damage this could do to his reputation if he goes to jail.

I think brand ambassadors should have a great deal of knowledge and understanding of what they’re trying to sell to their audience. It’s only fair that they do.
But a lot don’t seem to care about what they’re advertising as long as they’re getting paid without receiving any public backlash. As ambassadors of a brand, you should have an above average understanding of whatever product or services you’re representing.
