There is nothing wrong with wanting to find out who Satoshi is, but the further you dive, the further you will be from reaching the answer to the question of who Satoshi is. That is why until now many have tried to find out but ended up sinking at the bottom of the deep ocean. How many speculations or research results can prove it? none.

If Satoshi was successfully found along with a wallet containing Bitcoin, maybe the FBI would confiscate it, I don't care because Satoshi could be revealed after I die one day.

In my humble opinion, I don't really see anything wrong about those who seek to know who the 'mighty' Satoshi is. Although, Satoshi himself have his reasons to have remained unidentified and I can comfortably crown him with the title of being the most scares celebrity or genius or icon on the surface of the earth today. Majority of those who are willing and hoping to see Satoshi are his 'die-hard' fans and want to either lean under his tutelage or get inspirations from his mastery.

I know his firm decision to remain unidentified and confined of the public space has a lot of things to do with, not just his personal self but the future of Bitcoin especially in the early years of the bitcoin technology. If Satoshi had revealed himself, he would have been arrested and detained for long by the much hypocritical governments or he must have been leaving in the moon by now, LOL.

The only enemy of Bitcoin exists in the minds of the indoctrinated fiat holders. They have never known true freedom so they keep desperately hanging on to their increasingly worthless paper strips they call money.

That is really the only enemy worth defeating.
I believe each and everyone of us still use fiat and we all have at least one bank account, i am pro-BTC, but i don't think people who use fiat only without the inclusion of BTC are enemies of BTC, it is their choice to use BTC or not. In my honest opinion, if you are not directly attacking BTC like the way the government is doing, then you can't really be an enemy of the network.

I agree with you as usage of fiat cannot be seen as a form of attack on BTC as in most countries , BTC isn't considered a legal tender, in such situation, it's a really huge hindrance to its usage and so it will be counter productive trying to use Bitcoin in such locations but will be much better and wise to stick to the countries fiat while you still invest in Bitcoin and still make profits from which you can convert to fiat and still use.

I see those who are desperate to know who Satoshi is and to reveal his identity as the real enemy of bitcoin. Real bitcoiners don't have that time to go for a search to know who Satoshi is. Bitcoiner are much interested to invest bitcoin and they understand what privacy is all about. What will be the gain if you reveal who Satoshi is? It means you want the privacy of bitcoin to be reveal too.

Bitcoin is one of the greatest inventions of recent years in my opinion and this makes many people, including myself, want to know who was the genius who was responsible for creating this great invention. It's not about the price rising or falling, it's about getting to know the guy and knowing why he created Bitcoin, what inspired him and how he feels after seeing that Bitcoin is being used in most countries in the world. I believe that even you would be curious to know more about Satoshi if one day he appeared. At the stage of development and acceptance by governments and people, Satoshi has become irrelevant in terms of being able to influence the price rise or fall.

I couldn't care less to find out who Satoshi is even though I have my opinion. And if someone is obsessed finding out Satoshi's identity, it's difficult for me to see this person as threat for bitcoin. The real threats are politicians, governments and countries that don't understand bitcoin and they simply decide to go against it. And won't stop it but they can delay, a lot, its adoption.

What will be the gain if you reveal who Satoshi is?
There is no gain if Satoshi's identity is revealed. In that case, Bitcoin would suffer mass price crashing, because the person behind the pseudonym Satoshi would have its history investigated and inevitably professional and social connections would be found, generating speculations on what the real interests behind Bitcoin creation are. As consequence, fear and insecurity would spread fastly among investors who would become doubtful about Bitcoin's future.

We wouldn't see Bitcoin like before anymore. For that reason, it's important Satoshi's identity remains a mistery. The focus must on the creation, which is Bitcoin, and not on its creator. Satoshi must know about it, and that is why he chose to not reveal himself to the public.

We chose to invest in bitcoin because we believe there’s no reason for it to disappear. Even if the whole world discovers who Satoshi is, we won’t panic because we know it will keep progressing. Our confidence remains high for those who trust bitcoin, but it becomes difficult when doubt starts creeping into your mind. And that's a tough enemy, because as long as it’s there, it will always influence your decisions and actions. This is also why you won’t have peace of mind, since you’ll constantly be thinking about all the negative possibilities.
Unfortunately most people don't even know the reason why they buy Bitcoin besides to earn profit.

Usually these kind people like to invite other to invest in Bitcoin, they will explain that Bitcoin is decentralized cryptocurrency bla bla bla, but when I see where they hold their coins, they actually hold it on centralized exchange.

They only know "buzz words" but don't even know what actually decentralization is.

Bitcoiners wants to learn everything about Bitcoin but setting a goal to reveal the real identity of Bitcoin developer is not what I want and I don't feel bother any day seeing that the identity of Satoshi is not known, I am enjoying the Bitcoin that was invented by him and even in his absence, the technology is still doing great. The only people that are more bent to knowing who Satoshi really is and also bringing him to light if he is still alive, is the government but not some random investors.

How can you have financial freedom when everyone, especially a corrupt government, can see what you're doing with your Bitcoin?

(Rhetorical question, the answer is: You can't.)

You can't buy this, You can't sell this, You can't support this, You own us this, You must give 50% to your ex-wife, list goes on and on....
Financial freedom is about how much money you have and of course the way you manage it.

There's no way the government can't know how much your wealth when you're already a multi millionaire.

Even you can find the loophole from tax regulation, you're still need to pay tax, even though not as much as before.

This is why you shouldn't use your name when you bought an asset, instead use your mother, father, or your son's name, so whenever your wife divorce you, you won't need to give 50% of your wealth.

Satoshi identity been revealed has nothing to do with Bitcoin privacy
Remember Bitcoin is decentralized so there's no head.
That is true but since it is well known that it is indeed Satoshi that created Bitcoin, authorities may try and target Satoshi specifically to somehow ruin Bitcoin or some sort. Though if he were to reveal himself, it doesn’t mean that bitcoin will automatically be centralized. It will just seem that way because now there is someone or a figure to actually attack instead of bitcoin which is distributed everywhere.
Quote
The reveal might only cause a temporary dip because people would feel he could dump his holdings.
It could also go the other way. Maybe the general public will think that the reveal of Satoshi’s identity makes Bitcoin more reliable hence will be interested in buying bitcoin this time. But anyway it is all hypothetical since Satoshi will not reveal his identity any time soon or maybe ever.

Bitcoin's privacy will not change even if the creator of Bitcoin is revealed. Revealing who Satoshi is for those who want to reveal it will continue to try and for us it is not a task that should be done. If Satoshi's identity is revealed, we will express our endless gratitude to him for giving birth to a very extraordinary work for the financial system.

I think the revelation of Satoshi has nothing to do with the privacy contained in Bitcoin.
There are many uses for Bitcoin, not just investment and the meaning of a Bitcoiner does not stop there but more.

Freedom doesn't mean you can't be seen
It means you have control over your funds
They can see it but am the one who 'owns' it.

So what if you own it, if you can't do what you want with it because the government says it's illegal? They can put an 'illegal' sticker on anything they want, including transacting with Bitcoin.

If they link it to you and you were doing something 'illegal,' you end up in jail. That's far from freedom.

Freedom = Privacy and Bitcoin with it's transparent ledger is far from being private.

Identify Satoshi in order to reveal his identity as an enemy of bitcoin? How can the BTC-creator be an enemy of bitcoin? This sounds extremely contradictory.

Read slowly I think you would understand what the OP meant.
They called individuals curious about Satoshi identity as enemies of Bitcoin.

I don't think Bitcoin has an enemy, and I don't think creating imaginary enemies helps anyone.
Trying to find Satoshi is what a lot of people have been doing for years because people are naturally curious about who created this technology. I don't think it will be proven who Satoshi is. Even if it was known, it wouldn't change anything.
Sir, At first I was very curious about this matter, who is this Satoshi? Am also doing a lot of research first to understand this system. Later when I realized that the issue is actually something like that I've done a lot of research on it before but no solution came or no one could find it. And I don't think it is possible to find him now no matter how hard we try.

This will definitely hinder the overall growth of BTC. There will be no general regulation of BTC and the wheels of the economy will come crashing down. From personal opinion it seems that this Satoshi cannot be proved.
I would have supported your claim If Bitcoin was centralized with Satoshi as the central head
But fortunately it's decentralized
You can't kill a dullahan by cutting it's head.

I dont think so even the real Satoshi Nakamoto reveals himself because at the end of the day, its all about the transaction made the bitcoin is decentralized so if satoshi nakamoto shows up and people just create a small fear or hype its just a temporary thing for sure the people who know the hype will grab the opportunity to trade and sooner or later they will bring back the market price and makes a correction. Now if you get weak hands and get carried away its on your part.

Unless he still has access to the early mined coins and decide to trade it all  Grin
It's estimated he has mined about 1 million Bitcoins due to pattern in the ~22,000 blocks

BTC was created because one day people will no longer believe in Fiat/physical money. Because it is prone to corruption, etc. With BTC, all transactions will be clearly visible because they are in digital form. Wherever the money goes, we will definitely know what its purpose is and what it is used for, and with Bitcoin we can create financial freedom in the future, that's the most important thing.

I don't want to disappoint you but I bet bitcoin will have no impact on fiat, and it will never go away unless governments decide to eliminate it and replace it with a better version of fiat. We will even continue to rely on fiat even if bitcoin becomes popular globally, as long as fiat remains the main currency, the measure of value of the world, we will never get rid of fiat. Also, Satoshi did not create bitcoin to replace fiat or encourage people to abandon fiat, it is just an alternative that exists alongside fiat and the banking system.

How will Bitcoin give us financial freedom? It can only help us reduce our dependence on the government, help us protect our privacy to some extent.

In terms of investing, becoming rich and financially free by investing in bitcoin is not as easy as we think. You cannot become rich by just investing a few dollars and thinking that it will give you millions of percent returns, that is not true anymore these days.
