Always withdraw your winnings from gambling sites. If you are going to leave some to play around with it should be less than 20% of what you won and you should only do that if you had run out of capital to stake before winning. If you did not run out keep staking with what you have using the strategy you were using.
Gamblers get tempted to up the stakes when they win, but that is a terrible option.
I love your suggestion on continuing with previous balance before the winning and if a gambler can develop this level of discipline, it will go a long way in preserving his capital as well as a win will remain a win. It is even highly suitable for me that use a fixed amount per bet, per day and per week. I rarely increase my fixed amount unless perhaps I'm trying out a new system.

Another reason to withdraw your winnings is you are never sure which website will withhold your withdrawals when you try to pull out a large amount, as long as it remains on the site, you are being allowed to use it, which can change at anytime.

Another good point Jay, and OP did not capture that. There have been several cases of such problems so it is best one withdraw the winning as soon as possible, leaving only what is planned to be gambled with

If one persons biggest achievement from gambling is having a withdrawal, then I would suggest to reconsider his approach to gambling. This isnt normal when person thinks that he wins only if he is able to withdraw something. This isnt healthy. Moreno233, either create a financial strategy for gambling, or gamble for fun. Otherwise you will go nuts with time.

Whenever I win, I usually feel this strong urge to gamble more and also increase the amount I'm using to gamble. I do fall for this urge most times and the result is always disastrous as I end up losing the money I won with great pain and regrets. The only time I can say I have won is when I make withdrawals and possibly use the money for something else. As long as the money is still in the platform, there is a high chance of using it to gamble more. I decided to create this topic to see how other people manage their winning in gambling. If I notice a better approach, I will switch immediately as I don't want to continue experiencing the pain of winning and later losing the money again.
I agree that the real victory is when we are able to withdraw results. However, what I often experience is that I have played 15-20 minutes and have won while my ambition to play still wants to continue, there is no satisfaction in a short time. Then the win is again at stake and ends in total defeat. When I can't withdraw my winnings, at least the satisfaction of playing for a long time has been fulfilled. Because it's really not fun if a game that has just started is forced to leave. Have you experienced a moment like that?

Most gamblers like to play more bets and increase their staking power any time they win a bet because it gives them more confidence to predict games that will play. In the process of doing this, if caution is not taken, you might lose all the money you won because nothing is guaranteed in gambling. You should set a certain percentage to withdraw from your betting account at any time you have a winning so that you will not use the whole money you win to play bets and lose it.
Yes, the instinct or desire to play again always appears when we have won quite well. If they increase their bet and on that round they lose, of course they will definitely play again with selfish feelings and emotions inside them, and of course they will want to take their money back. that had been lost in the previous round. What we have to do is control ourselves in this gambling game. It's best if we cash out around 80 percent and you can play the rest freely and not think too much about losing.

What you do reflects a greedy nature. Gamblers who have won should not continue playing hoping to gain more profits because it is possible that you will lose your winnings and all the capital you have because you are too chasing bigger wins. We must be grateful with what we get without having to think about winning more gambling and being greedy because greed is a bad trait for gamblers and most people who experience greed will end up addicted to gambling where it is difficult for them to stop.

For me, winning in gambling means that we can stop when we feel satisfied with the results we get and don't try to gamble continuously. Meaning that you have got the profit and immediately withdraw it so that you can feel the victory and not be trapped in a situation where gambling will be even more misleading when you experience greed and decide to bet more. Gambling sometimes makes it difficult for someone to think clearly when they expect to win more and finally decide to continue gambling but in the end if they continue playing the results will be disappointing.

Exactly this is really the main goal should gamblers to target on. But lots of people failed to realize that winning a lot more is just a bonus scenario since what's really more important to consider first is to know when to secure our winnings. Since if we always think about getting a lot more profit and get greedy for thinking that we are having a lucky streak then for sure that there would be an instances that instead of we are gaining the table turn down and we lost everything we already have.

So its really important for people to have contentment of each positive happenings especially when they are already winning so that they can able to think to withdraw their winnings and don't want to get exceed because they know what will happen next to it.

It is not yet yours until it is in your wallet and you are free to do whatever you want to do with it, I always make it a point to withdraw the money I won when I call it a day and sometimes just retain a few bucks in my bankroll for my next session or if you have an uncontrollable urge to gamble withdraw everything.

By withdrawing everything you will not be tempted to come back right away you only retain for your next session if you can control and stick to your session.

I have an office worker who retains a portion of his winnings, the first time that he did that he could not get over that money he decided to log in and check and play a few games during office hours and he was caught by the boss and was scolded  Cheesy so if you cannot control your urge to play just withdraw everything.

That is how it feels when you are already in a state of greediness. What is in your mind is to gamble in order to make more money and you will never stop doing this because you already know that you have money in your pocket. And this kind of gambling behavior give us no winning but a losing end.

Even if you withdraw it, you will still put it back because you will gamble again. True winning is when you win and never gamble again. But if you still gamble, chances are you still spend and lose more than the amount you win. That is the reality of gambling that is why I gamble not thinking I could make money more but just to enjoy life. Some gamblers make a fortune here but the majority are in the face of losing.

More precisely, real victory in gambling is not about how big a win we achieve, but how capable we are of controlling the gambling activity itself.

Everyone who has been involved in gambling for a long time has certainly had their luck and achieved some big wins, but these wins are in vain when we are unable to control the gambling. What we get is lost for nothing in the next gambling session.

Making a withdrawal of the winnings achieved and withdrawing for a moment from gambling activities is the first step to safeguarding what we have earned. For the next step, don't deposit the money from the winning rice in your account or in your digital wallet, it would be wiser if you invest the money, spend it or lend it to people you trust.

Yeah, it is hard to actually quit when you win big, because our brains evolved to continue things that are working, and winning clearly is one of them.

Now, the thing is that the casinos have all of this figured out, and they trick your brain to try to keep you gambling as much as they can.

At the end of the day, most gamblers will have spent more than what they won. And that's by design.

I don't know, maybe thru experience, a gambler might have control of themselves when they actually win big and then quit for a while and not comeback. I myself have been in this predicament, however, I have matured already, as me and my buddy has this saying, at least if you play and you are already losing and then there's one chance that you able to come back, then quit.

And most likely that's what we have been doing, let's say I have a budget of $100 and almost lost it until a game that give me like $50 back, then I will take it as a win already instead of losing all that $100. And maybe come back another day and hopefully you can win big + that $50 that you have lost earlier.

This is a great point tbh which I don’t understand why the topic doesn’t received even a single merit.

I can relate to this since this the most common dilemma of every gambler whenever their money is still inside the casino. You really can’t say that you already win until you withdraw your balance safely since I experienced many times that I win huge amount but still lose it all just because I triggered on losing small that makes me chase loss until I bust all my bankroll both my original money and profit.

That’s why instant withdrawal is a very important feature of the casino which gamblers should consider.

Yes, same approach here, if ever I won big, it's either I going to used the money that I won to pay debts, like credit card, or buy something for my kids. I won't double think of doing that because I know that the odds are high that if I'm going to gamble again, I might donate my winnings to the casino again regardless.

So that will be the best approach in my opinion. Just enjoy your winnings, don't think about of getting back and replicate the same things all over again because chances are you won't win that big again. So it's better to used the money that will make you enjoy.

At the end of the day, most gamblers will have spent more than what they won. And that's by design.
But it will not happen if the gambler itself is aware of when to stop and how to limit itself. I get that many gamblers will have a strong urge to gamble more if they win quite a huge amount instead of securing it because, in their minds, they could not miss this opportunity to double it or to earn more, but think again: will you have the assurance to earn more or win some more games after a big win? Or are you just gaslighting yourself, thinking that it's okay to lose the money you will lose because it came from what you have won? That is not practical; that's being stupid and small-minded. If you have won a huge amount of money from a game, then secure it and lay low, and when you want to gamble again, dedicate a portion only so that no matter what happens to it, you will never get more money. It's like a limiter wherein when you lose it, you need to stop, and the money you have earned from a previous win should be secured.

I can’t relate with this maybe because after winning I withdraw first before deciding if I should play back but after withdrawing my win I will play back under probability, simply means my decision after winning will be channelled to something else. From my view this issue is not so difficult compared to addiction, you just have to withdraw first after winning if this is okay with you because it seems like the only option left so you don’t gamble all over again. Definitely some people will ask why withdrawing the money if you’ll bet some other time because most people do deposit money in the site but gambling win is different from mere money , surprisingly if you should play some other time with a different money you might get lucky but if playing with same win it’s difficult.

this is where proper planning comes into play, if you don't make the right plan about how you will go about your gambling habit, you will always find yourself in a corner where even after you've won a bet, there would always be a high tendency to gamble it out again.

I just like the way you titled this thread "the real meaning of winning is withdrawing. until you've taken the money you've won out of the betting site, you've not won anything and the probability of loosing all of the money is as high as anything. What some people do most of the time is to take out a portion and then use part of it to still gamble. That's wise to some extent but if you're not careful, you're most likely going to loose the portion you've set out and then use the remaining portion to gamble again. But then, it's always you that have the final say regarding how you go about your gambling but for me, once I win, I zoom off ASAP.

I think that part of the fun in gambling should be to take profit, gamblers should reward themselves by using their wins to spend on something other than gambling. It's not everytime that you win and there's a high chance of losing  the win when you use it to gamble again, so why take the chance, it's like a trophy that you won, you should take and enjoy it. Gambling can be addictive, if the gambler doesn't apply wisdom and discipline, he can be carried away and keep gambling more than the amount that is estimated, so caution is very important to avoid greed and temptations of over gambling at any point in time.

Gamblers should be realistic, don't try to achieve more than 10x because if you're looking for very high multipliers, then you will end up loss a lot. If you only want to achieve 2x-3x then you will not desperately want to win and you might have successfully control yourself since you know when to play and when to stop.

As far as the funds is still with the gambling site and not in your bank or your wallet, it does not belong to you, but the gambling site.
Yeah just like an investment, if you didn't sell your asset, it's just an unrealized profit. If the asset is very liquid, this shouldn't be a problem, but if it's real estate, the unrealized profit might not be same with the actual profit.

Greed and feeling of dissatisfaction with success are certainly one of the most common attitudes that gamblers easily experience when they get big win, they definitely want to risk the winnings again to get another, bigger win.
But unfortunately this kind of attitude will only always cause gamblers to experience suffering and disappointment because the final result they get is just continuous defeats, the significant effect is the emergence of emotions that lead to loss of control.
Everything will appear slowly and make gamblers often do stupid things by depositing money again to be able to recover what they lost, but basically human nature is like this and it is difficult to really get rid of it.
Gamblers bet to have fun and win, but those who win always fail to take wise attitude, there is no management and no goal of what to do after winning.
Indeed, true victory or success is when gambler is able to behave well and actually implements management more wisely.

I have never understood the logic of such players, because according to mathematics, if a gambler got a rare chance and the gambler won a lot of money, it means that now he is unlikely to be lucky, because he "defused the probability". And in order to win big money twice in a row, you need to multiply two small probabilities of winning between each other. As a result, there will be a very small chance of winning!
Every gambler, when winning a lot of money, should think about the rule "if you are very lucky, then maybe it's best to take the money and leave?"

I thought I was the only one facing this type of issue, I also have this urge to gamble more whenever I have a balance in my account - that’s why whenever I’m done gambling, whether there is profits or no profits I still make sure I withdraw my money from the site (if it’s up to the minimum withdrawal limit) and deposit back when I am ready to gamble again I don’t just like leaving money in my gambling account because I would want to go back and just play a little more with it.

The only time I tend to leave money is when I mange to win big amount and then withdraw part of it - when that urge comes I’ll use the amount already withdrawn to distract myself from going back to my account and with that strategy I can go for weeks without gambling even if I have money in my account but if I haven’t withdrawn anything I won’t be able to distract myself.
