The confirmation time of transactions is impractical today because people prefer instant. If a new currency will adopt the characteristics of bitcoin and then implements the improvements (such as the one mentioned earlier), the tendency is for people to shift from bitcoin to the new one.

Yes delay in confirmation time is an major issue at a moment and even the fees have gone higher so if new currency will have less fees and instant confirmation then it will take no time for people to leave bitcoins behind and adopt the new currency.

One thing I want to make it clear that bitcoin is not an altcoin and bitcoin holds its own identity and altcoins are small babies of bitcoin and when it comes to digital currency bitcoin is the best as it holds multiple features which you will never see with any other altcoin or fiat currency.

There is a sense on what he have said, as what CoinThinker said Bitcoin is an identity in which made it successful. If you ask one person if they know Bitcoin and Ethereum chances are they might only know what Bitcoin is and they would think Ethereum as some kind of rare earth metal. An Identity just like any other corporations is well valued by its owners that is why they register it as a Trade Mark so that they can protects its name (eg. Windows, Apple). You cant say now "bitcoin is better than WU because of the lower tx fee".
Cant really say also "invest in bitcoin, it moves up and down and you can profit from it".
Some people when hearing the word "invest" they run. But I feel like it is really the last option, you would just need to find the right person who would take the risk.

Bitcoin is unique name, and some members tried to suggest some other cool name, but nothing is even close to bitcoin and how bitcoin sounds.
Except the name, bitcoin is more widespread then any other crypto, have more places that accept bitcoin as currency. Bitcoin still doesn't have real threat from other crypto currencies, some cost more then before but still all of them are far behind.

In my opinion, the reason bitcoin will always be number 1 because Bitcoin have a low fee for each transaction, Easy to use and Easy to transfer bitcoin from 1 to another address. Really high price for each coin and the price that keep raising. The name is nice but the reasons bitcoin is number one, is because bitcoin was the number one, nothing like bitcoin existed until it was created and the amazing characteristics bitcoin has made bitcoin and incredible popular choice in comparison to other coins.
