Well, at last people began to wake up from the deception of religion, it is necessary to close all religions and not allow them to lead people.

Ask them if they have ever faced any sort of harassment.

Quran was recognised as extremist text. http://www.sova-center.ru/misuse/news/persecution/2014/12/d30777/ (In Russian)
But mr. Putin made a special law to unban it.

Former KGB Patriarch Kirill removes competition. Putin and he doesn't need different religions in Russia as an opinion different from the official one. And the worst part is that this Russian-slaves are silent.

There are a lot of non-Orthodox denominations in Russia, and none of them are targeted. There are Muslims (6% to 7% of the population), Catholics, Buddhists and Shamanists. Ask them if they have ever faced any sort of harassment.

The Jehovah Witnesses as well as the Church of Latter Day Saints are very odd but not any of their doctrines proclaims violence on others. The Russians got it wrong there.

I know that some Jehovah's Witnesses are religious fanatics but neither to declare them a "extremist organization" or at least Jehovah's Witnesses from my country are people normal.

They are not normal people. It is impossible for people from other religions to reside in areas where these people are a majority. Also, they refuse modern medical practices such as blood transfusion and vaccination, even for children. They are creating unnecessary health risks for themselves, and for the general population.

I think they are different depending on where they're located also. I know a couple of people here who are members of this congregation and they're pretty much harmless people who just gives away fliers about their religion on weekends. I think putin thinks of them differently or the sect in russia may have been acting differently from the other parts of the world that's why they were labeled that
It's just another example of Putin's struggle for the minds of citizens. Patriarch Kirill wants a monopoly on the religion. Putin is profitable, and they operate in tandem.

why they were labeled that

If You check the list of recognised as "extremist" texts, You will see, that the number is big enough.
This structure continued use of such texts and published new texts.
In that way this structure is recognised as "extremist organisation inspiring to hate".

So far I don't see them causing much trouble in my country and they tend to be nice here. Groups that are usually considered fundamentalists elsewhere like the Mormons are fairly benign here, probably because Catholics still outnumber them. I'd definitely take these sects anytime to fundamentalist Islam.

They mostly get into trouble because of disobedience but even there they don't resort to violence, unlike some followers of the religion of peace. This news reminded me of a teen who was imprisoned in Singapore because he refused military service.

Well, that's their choice. As if you need to be one of them to be an anti-vaxxer.  Grin

Sad that children would suffer too but I just like to think they're voluntarily weeding their family out of the gene pool.

Jehova's Witnesses should be ban worldwide they are teaching falsely and against the bible.

If they are a cult, sect, I concur, partially. People should be allowed to.practice what they want, if it isn't illegal. With that being said, if it a religion, despite how odious it may be, it should be allowed to exist in a legal manner with the rest of society.

Now, if they can outlaw them knocking on the damned door to hand you those Bible tracts.. They are ninjas with those damned things, if they were Battlefield 4 tripmines, they'd be tactical geniuses Wink

Jehovah's witnesses is not your ordinary ultra-religious cult. They are a group of religious fanatics, funded from the Southern United States. The Russian supreme court did the right thing.

I see no reason to deal with religion. Radical Islam certainly deserves this, but violence will only provoke growth of attacks. I think you need to better educate their children and to prohibit all benefits and privileges for all religions. Over time, believers will not.

Teaching children that Earth is 6000 years old and is flat borders on child abuse, don't you think?

Of course I agree it's a mockery. But why to teach it. For example, I explained to my daughter that there is no God and she does not believe in him. In school it is not taught religion, so I'm sure that neither she nor her children will not be in illusions.

Great.  I hope other governments will crack down on all other religions as well.

It is about time we ban religion.
I think it's not a religion, but a sect.

I don't know much about them, but they don't agree to blood transfusions, even if this could save their lives, which could put them in conflict with the law, especially if a child dies because the parents decided it was a god's choice. I don't think they are terrorists, but they are a closed society with its own rules that in their minds are above the law.

All religions are cults.  The only difference is they are recognized as non-profit, tax-exempt corporations with a large number of members.

Cults and religions operate on the same principle.  Scare people, offer a solution to a non-existing problem and take their money.
