the tournament is just for UEFA to make more money and to fill up more games into this rough schedule. Chiesa is a beast and needs now to show at a club level that he is a big player like he does for Italy. What a goal by Benzema as well, probobly one of the best players in the world in the last 2-3 years.
UEFA is already one of the richest sports body in world, but their greediness is not going to end, so they have these bore tournaments bringing some more Europe in their pocket. About Chiesa is doing good and now after Juventus main players away from game due to injuries now he is doing very good for his club Allegri if one of best coaches in world also know how to use youngster like Chiesa I am feeling in coming years he could be much better and quality player.
But, hopefully he could be not underrated like Benzema because he is also one of the best players but sadly underrated for long time.
I wouldn't call this tournament boring, but the final four of the League of Nations in general turned out to be exciting and gave a lot of bright emotions to the spectators and fans of the tournament. Another question is that due to the shifted deadlines due to the pandemic of the timing of the European Championship, the main focus was still directed specifically at Euro2020. It's hard for me to blame UEFA for wanting to earn more money instead of holding boring friendly matches, especially since this earned money goes to national federations, unlike selfish projects like the Super League. Benzema really deserves only praise in his address, because winning the League of Nations is largely his merit.

Finally, this cup is over.

France won and congratulation to them but this trophy does mean anything at all?

For the game between Italy and Belgium we got one more confirmation, Chiesa is the beast and already an over 100m€ player.

Can Juventus keep him next year?

I couldn't even keep up with the tournament. It was boring for me from the start so I was only here on occasional basis to see how it's going. Well, I'm glad it's finally over so players won't incur unnecessary injuries from the tournament. Congrats to France on their win. This should act as a consolation to them for their Euro 2020 exit a couple of months back.

I got to know of Chiesa last season during Juve vs Milan game at the time and he hasn't disappointed me thus far. He might not stay there for long as teams would start seeking his signatures.

If Juventus don't look at the profit session this should be maintained for Chiesa but what if there is a higher offer maybe 150€ who will not be tempted by Juve while on the other hand Chiesa is already the best player and it looks like he will be with Juventus.

But Chiesa really helped Juve after losing the players Dybala and Morata to injury so Chiesa rode as someone who could be relied on after proving to be very impressive in the national team.
For €100m, Juventus will sell him and will sign another forwarder at the half price and there is several good ones in Serie A or count on another young talent if available. I don't see the point of keeping him while he can prove himself in another league and be imminent player for Italy.

Undoubtedly, it was a huge mistake of the referee, as practice has shown to some, even the VAR cannot help to make the right decisions. In addition, this is a final, a match in which the referee should treat with maximum attention. Of course, I think France is a stronger team, but this match was not won by France, it was won by the referees for France. Such moments spoil football.

VAR helped to find a millimetre offside in matches and now if was far more a millimetre. the only consolation for Spain is losing Nations League final but not European Championship final or  World Cup final.

It's still about Mbappe's controversial goal, apparently some people are even quite sure that it was in accordance with the rule and the goal was declared valid even though we all saw that Mbappe was in an offside position. I'm not sure what the rule are about such situation even though it's happened a few times since VAR was around. I'm still convinced that the goal was illegitimate but there's nothing to question because it's over. Not sure if I still want to watch the replay, that won't change anything now.
is still a matter of debate in this regard. but it is true that everything has ended and the debate will not change the current process for the outcome of the match.
but maybe in the future I think FIFA should make a rule that is truly one vote by all referees and lines judges because sometimes the offside rule is still one of the rules that is interpreted differently from every aspect by several referees.
but again the referee is also human and certainly has mistakes but that can't be justified either

I am happy because France has won it. Despite having the most star players on their squad in the Euro Cup, even then their performance was very weak and disappointing. I thought they would be Euro champions. However, the team is now stabilizing. The bonds between the players are getting stronger. Hopefully we can see more improved gameplay from them in the next World Cup.

What Eric Garcia should've done according to the rule book.

https://twitter.com/TrollFootball/status/1447500347824427012?s=20
lol at the pic. As I pointed out in my previous post it is a controversial situation and it will sink much ink in media. Some old referees backed the decision of being a legit goal since Garcia touched the ball and others confirmed it should be counted offside.
Not sure what's wrong with soccer, can't they make a clear guide about different and possible situations? Even a couple of old referees can't agree on one thing?

It's very clear that it was an offside pass to Mbappe and this cost Spain especially in the final, and why VAR didn't put a line on the screen to confirm that it was offside I think if it was shown to the referee it would have disallowed the goal.
Before the implementation of VAR, there are many programs to draw lines to check off-side cases or to draw circles for free kick to assess the distance between free kick spots and defenders.

Such simple steps are not difficult and were used many years already. If that VAR team did not use such techniques, it is unacceptable. I think those referees have other reasons to accept that goal.
Indeed this technique has been around for a long time before VAR this is just my assumption and the goal looked very offside because Mbappe was in front and behind the Spaniard so this is just an assumption a lot of people I see in the conversation above.

About the referee having other reasons for accepting the goal I don't know, and maybe the VAR team has confirmed to the referee that it was a valid goal and there is no need to point to the VAR screen.
But what I saw was offside.

With slow motion effects and support from VAR team, the mistake still was made. How is it possible?

Mistake is acceptable if you are human referee and without support from other referees or VAR. Now with VAR, that terrible mistake still happened. Is it a plan to help France win a title and get more attraction for World Cup 2022? I can think of any other reason why that mistake was made.

In my opinion, the referee was clearly mistaken, since the player was trying to interrupt the pass that was intended for the player who found himself in an offside position, and the fact that he was able to touch the ball does not mean that he played the ball.

This is a big mistake and it's a winner for France while the referee should be held responsible for this incident, will this be investigated?

We watched a very competitive final game just as I expected. The first half was really boring. There were nearly zero shots from both of these teams. But both sides started to perform really strongly in the second half. The competitiveness continued and Spain were the first side to score a goal. They captured a big advantage psychologically also. But France were just so good at making comebacks that they turned the game around superbly. Mbappe scored one goal and made one assist also. He was definitely the player of the game as he helped his team win the title.

As it turned out, the judge was guided by paragraph 11.2 of the rules for determining an offside position:

A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately plays the ball, including by deliberate handball, is not considered to have gained an advantage, unless it was a deliberate save by any opponent.
https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-11---offside

In my opinion, the referee was clearly mistaken, since the player was trying to interrupt the pass that was intended for the player who found himself in an offside position, and the fact that he was able to touch the ball does not mean that he played the ball.
Exactly, ref can get excused on technicality but it is travesty against Spain and common sense to not disallow the goal for offside. It is normal that defender tries to play the ball and if he gets a touch it should still be offside. That rule has sense only if defender has ball in his complete control which was clearly not the case here.

I am not complaining since I had a high stake bet on both to score and another small one on France victory but to make a decision like this in the final with VAR looks really bad for technology and ref.

Even with VAR support, it still is a goal and this is the biggest drama of VAR so far as far as I know. The goal should be rejected especially when VAR was used. If even with VAR - that destroys emotion in football, the terrible mistake can still be made, it is better for football if VAR is removed.
I think the same for VAR technology. It reduced the enjoyment of football even more. VAR technology was introduced to fix bugs. However, in many matches, even though the referees go to VAR, they can make wrong decisions. Football can become more enjoyable if VAR is cancelled. After all, football is a sport that is beautiful with its mistakes.
If there was no VAR, there might be more goals from hand God, but VAR still continues to reap controversy due to Mbappe's goal in the last goal, some feel disadvantaged because VAR and the referee made the wrong decision, because in the broadcast it appears that Mbappe looks offside.
After all VAR has become a part of football that has bug problems but in this case the mistakes are bound to happen again

It was obvious to me that Italy would beat Belgium today... In fact, if it wasn't for that red card, Italy would have definitely won the tournament!
As for the final match, I think France will win today... Although the statistics of games between Spain and France are on Spain's side, the French look stronger... But it could come down to a penalty shootout as there usually aren't many goals in the final matches!
Yes i bet on italy to win too i respect belgium but they do not deserve that first spot they were the first for a while and they always lose to top ranked teams such as france italy and more plus they perform poorly on late tournament they always get out from early stages.
