world without bitcoin simply pretty same the different is everything depend on bank and centralized the transaction fee will be higher and people like me who unemployeed will suffer  Cry Cry no bounty or anything etc.
Yes, it is. All people will still use traditional banks to save their money and follow what their government said. It seems people will not have the freedom to have an investment beyond what was suggested to them. They will stick to invest their money in land, gold, or other material, which the government controls in the tax and the payment. People will pay the fee that can be bigger from time to time, and maybe people will suffer more than this day.

Have you ever thought what would the world be without Bitcoin? Imagine if the cryptocurrency was never invented and we'd still be living with Fiat (paper money and credit/debit cards). People would be subject to banks' desires without a chance for freedom. A cashless society would be only a dream, without innovations in the FinTech space. Gold would still be an option, but not everyone will be able to access it. The unbanked people will be forced to deal with banks in order to participate in the mainstream economy. A lot of challenges and hurdles would arise without a decentralized form of currency for the enjoyment of all.

What do you think the world will be today without Bitcoin? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
You are right, banks don't serve us freedom which we can find through cryptocurrency. Now we can think about cashless society which is also possible by banks too but freedom isn't served. I prefer to store my funds using crypto currency though banks provide some benefits too. But I need freedom and I don't want to show my funds to other.

If Bitcoin is not invented then we won't get such freedom of choice. Maybe we all are forced to use or do transaction through banks.

The world without bitcoin would mean that we'd still have to rely on the banks for all of our transactions, we'd still have to wait days to make a successful transaction from one country to another, we'd still have to pay heavy transaction fees to make these inter-country transactions, many people will still be dependent on the government or the frustrating jobs to make ends meet.
Bitcoin gave us freedom, took power from the government and banks and gave it to us and now we control our finances. We do not have to pay heavy transaction fees and wait for days to make successful transactions across countries

With so many companies relying on Bitcoin, we are already seeing some good betting and gambling companies that rely on Bitcoin.  And BTC is the highest volume trading pair in exchange. I don't think we can enjoy those services unless Bitcoin is invented. I think we couldn't enjoy those services until Bitcoin was invented.

a world without bitcoin would be difficult. where people have almost no freedom in using finances. If in this world there is only fiat then who has it all is a banker. How do we assume the fiat we have now belongs to us? at any time the bank may pick it up. If compared to gold or bitcoin. fiat looks like a money game where it will double back to its owner. And that's not the case with gold and bitcoin. where gold basically does not have its owner until there is a bank system. So is bitcoin which currently has no owner where all of us can have.

we'd still like like the usual before bitcoin arrived. time though there won't be an option to hedge the wealth you have but silver and gold and not bitcoin for us. not everyone knew about bitcoin which i guess we'd return to normal way since time back to gold and silver, its the only logical option if the government allow. or we could resort to bartering products.

The fact that only a few people around the world knows about crypto is enough to say that a world without Bitcoin isn't affect all of the people worldwide.

In our family, I'm the only one who knows Bitcoin or crypto in general and yet I don't see any difference from them at the present and a few years ago. Their lifestyle is still the same. Take note that we are in the early stages of it and not all people have access to it. In terms of transaction, people prefer still to use fiat compare to Bitcoin. If there is no Bitcoin, banks will still be on the top and will continue to scam people Cheesy. Gladly, Bitcoin has been invented to go away from these banks.

Can't imagine the world without bitcoin, that must be so hard.

Bitcoin makes everything much easier starting from decentralize form of currency up to the freedom that we have in controlling our own money. It takes us away from banks who has the control to our assets, and that's what I like so much about bitcoin. Our ability to manage our funds by ourselves makes it much more easier and safer. If we don't have bitcoin now, maybe, we are all bank dependent individuals allowing them have control to our funds without the financial freedom that we currently have today.

The world without bitcoin will not have a problem, and the banks will still have a choice for all people because people do not have more options to save their money. Maybe we still look at people investing in the old fashion way, and they still search for the money to be invested in that things. But after we have bitcoin and bitcoin become popular, people have the other type of investment. Bitcoin brought a new way of investment, and bitcoin can give them a new way to make money from trading, and people can save their money in bitcoin value.

Bitcoin is an innovation that develops in the world of technology and business opportunities that are profitable for individuals and also have risks, but are ignored because the evidence is that more people benefit than those who are disadvantaged.
actually there would not be a significant change if bitcoin did not exist in the world because bitcoin could only be used individually and it is inconceivable if bitcoin did not exist in the world and maybe our current state will be lost.

Cashless society isn't a dream, isn't credit cards a form of cashless transaction? World without bitcoin will definitely be boring and I am glad that it did exist but if we were to look at it in an non-hindsight way, we wouldn't even notice that banks are exploiting us although the time will come when we will slowly realize what they are doing and we will be awaken and will get away from their grasp. But considering right now the density of the population that knows about bitcoin, I don't think that there won't be a lot of things different if there ever was bitcoin in the first place.

Actually, even now Bitcoin users are still very small compared to the population around the world. So a world without Bitcoin will not have too big
an effect on human life. But if a world without Bitcoin were for me, it would be very boring and maybe my economy would not improve as it is now.
Because since getting to know Bitcoin my economy has gotten better, even though I also suffered losses when investing in Bitcoin. But overall
the profit that I make from Bitcoin is much greater than the losses I have experienced. So I am grateful to know Bitcoin, because Bitcoin has had
a positive effect on me in several ways.

I'm pretty sure most of the world right now has already been living in a world without bitcoin. I actually hardly doubt it'd have that much of an effect on most of the population, especially since most of the effects that bitcoin had (of the most obvious and probably the biggest) is the trading aspect of it. Some people got rich off of it, some didn't. There'd also be the influx of projects way back then which was a gold mine for most, so I guess those are the ones who'd mostly get affected. There'd also be crypto-casinos, but well most of them are actually just casinos, but with crypto so to speak. I'd reckon they can still open up their businesses even without crypto, just that traffic may be a bit less than what they have right now.

Still, it's a question that's probably way too early to ask? I'd say ask it when most of the world has accepted Bitcoin as a mode of payment. Where you can just tap it on some scanner and you can pay for your groceries kind of thing. Where fees aren't an issue, volatility isn't affecting holders most of the time now kind of thing.

The world without Bitcoin might've not seen such an innovation. Now this has been serving as the base to different forms of development. Possibly these could've got affected. Anyhow the innovation have helped people in someway to overcome the centralized system. Though we're not into the free world to use our own money, it has given some state of awareness of being independent. Roll Eyes

Bitcoin is still on it's infancy though, we need to wait for the next 10 years to see the full grasp of the effect to people, government and institutions, although we may have seen a glimpse already. But we can't really say if the trend will continue or suddenly make a U-turn (for the worst or better).

I guess if we can go back to the very reason why Satoshi create it, as a micro-payment scheme, borderless, frictionless, then we can say that bitcoin really innovate or disrupt or has impacted all of our lives.

Well, I imagine myself tot hs case when I didn't know cryptocurrency before 2017.
It was like something very normal and nothing different. Using fiat money, digital money with e-wallet as what happens in my country, it is sometimes have been cashless with that e-money.
For a means of "currency" itself, we cannot also use Bitcoin as a currency (in my country not legal as currency, only as a commodity).
If as investment or trading, I think that people will focus more on stocks and gold.

There will still be a lot of people that won't come by to understand how it is important to invest and how to protect their wealth. Now with bitcoin, we have our assets with us without any third party.
Unlike cash, we have to protect it through the bank and the banks are the ones that's making money of what we have from them. Transfers will still take time and have higher fees.

I don't think that cashless society will only be a dream even if Crypto wasn't invented by Satoshi , because there are still other cashless program that existing in our community aside from those mentioned.

Paypal is offering cashless payment , and something related to this one.

But of course it will be more different as we already have Bitcoin and the crypto altcoins , because of the opportunity to gain and earn from the volatility of the currencies .

We are still living into those casual days where fiat money and government is in control when it comes to our finances where everything is on surveillance or being observed.
If bitcoin havent been created then we wont be seeing this market that we are experiencing now, there are no millionaires and there are no other projects that do pop out
like mushrooms.Blockchain tech would be just a dream but hey, innovation does really progress on and cant really be stopped. There are indeed people who do keep on
creating things towards their dreams and decentralization is always a good option to have and thats why its hard to tell that it wont happen in future years to come.
