You should know that altcoins lose 99% of their all time highs in bear markets. Worse, they will completely die in bear markets and developer teams abandone their projects in bear markets too.

It is not smart to spend money in altcoins in bear markets with belief that they won't die.

If I want to invest in altcoins, I will wait for ending of bear market and a start of new bull market, so altcoins I invest in will have less risks to be death or abandoned.

That's what I've always wanted to tell people, investing in altcoins during a bear market is a vast, irreparable mistake. Many people even advise buying top coins but forget that they are also altcoins, and history has said that most altcoins will die or be replaced by newer altcoins when the bull market comes. The opportunity for old altcoins to go up is too low, see examples like LTC, EOS, and BCH...they are no longer profitable for us. In a bear market, focus only on bitcoin, altcoins are only suitable for the bull season and should sell all of them when the bear season comes.

This has been one of my worst year with crypto, and that performance is a proof that bear dominates the whole year. Hoping to see at least a small progress for those top altcoins, we should see the recovery next year or else we might see another negative performance for many altcoins and even with Bitcoin. On a positive site, this could be a perfect timing to buy more good altcoins, they are still cheap right now so better to grab this opportunity.
Many lose their confidence about altcoins, and that is because of many negative issues with the top project before and seeing this percentage is a proof that the market is not doing well and one of the worst bear market. The next trend will surely about bull trend because we can’t stay bear forever so its good to buy some now, and maybe next year will be the start of a small pump that can trigger bull run.

If bitcoin will be doing so well in the next year and most lf altcoins will be following what will be doing by bitcoin. Bitcoin was the reason why those altcoins were dumping so hard. I meant you can imagine if bitcoin will be doing 4x again to reach new ATH and im sure that altcoin gonna booming again.

The dump that happened with bitcoin was just temporary and bitcoin can even comeback anytime. I think that if the bearish market will not be so long like it would be happening for a decade.

The world needs to be recovered from so many incidents that were hurting the human. these days people are feeling worry to invest caused byt he bearish market can make them all lose their money.

The worst year for crypto will be passed soon.

It will be a big disappointment if the crypto market makes next year as bearish as 2022. Two bearish years in a row. I don't think this has ever happened before. 2021 was extremely saturated and overbought, 2022 washed all the crypto tourists out of the ocean called the market. What was left was the most convinced and the strongest.
Very optimistic for next year recovery, there’s no history for the second year bear trend and I hope that it wont happen next year. Recovery should begin on the early quarter and probably will rise more on the second half next year. This is why I’m so eager to increase my holdings right now because I know, next year will be a great year again for the whole crypto community and market.

And that's because we're in a bear market.

Yeah, hopefully by next year and even after the halving. Everything's going to be fine for sure and we have to be patient until we reach those days again of another bull run.

Keep the faith and keep holding, don't panic and be hopeful!

2022 was a hectic year I'm for cryptocurrency, as crypticurrency struggled through out the year trying to resist further price decline the resistance force of most top coins were all weakened coupled with some other external factors such as the FTX scam and the rest of it all.

But on a general and investment note, those with capital to invest had a good buy price throughout 2022 and that is something we should thank God for.

It was buying season this year indeed and I am sure many whales have filled their bags during the panic runs from exchanges going bankrupt and some shitcoins turning out to be ponzi schemes as expected. Just that this year will full of such things happening compared to previous years, hence the prolonged bear market.

You have to treat these things as just numbers without emotions and take the decision to capitalize on the problem, otherwise you will never profit from it. Maybe next year we will see bull run happening, but if you would not be owning bitcoin at that point, you will not be able to sell and then the traders would be lamenting about it.

Some of these altcoins may never recover at all. Not trying to propagate fear, but that is what I have experienced.

I am very surprised to see Monero losing less value (in percentage) than Bitcoin in this year. I know Monero never does huge leap in bull market but anyways it can prove that it has certain value/ or certain benefit attached to it. I personally loved privacy coins back in 2017-2018 era, many of them quickly gained transaction but nowadays they are rather unpopular.
By the way it looks terrible for Solana. Its so strange to see that coin dying. I hope it can survive, it may badly affect crypto markets. Sad!

If you'd break down each month, you'd definitely see more which would show how volatile the market is  From reaching its highest market price to deep market prices at the present. The market prices increased in a short period of time as well as with its downfall and we just cannot avoid such thing especially if the market price of something, perhaps cryptocurrency in this case, is solely dependent with the market demand. Many things could affect the interest of investors which would reflect to the market value. Given how many things happened in this industry for this year, it somehow answers why in a sudden the market prices are struggling at a certain point and no signs of recovery still, is obvious.

... But some investor  did not say that 2022 is a bad  for them, but they say that 2022 is the best year to buy some coins cause they believe that someday they will get a lot of profit.

Including me, I have been expecting this crash since 2021, after I sold most of my crypto assets. Bitcoin has always been like that, after creating ATH then a serious drop will happen, and that's when we start accumulating from the beginning. Investing means we buy low and sell high, and down season is when we buy instead of panic. Not only that, I also hope that this bear season will last longer because then more investors will panic, and they will have to sell their assets at the lowest price, and that would be a better chance.

It doesn’t look good, does it. This is not only in cryptocurrency though, the entire financial system worldwide is on it’s knees. We are in a recession no matter if the FED is willing to admit it or not. Things will get better but they may get worse first.

This is where money is mare though. You can either cry about unrealised losses or be a winner & BTFD.

Typical crypto bear market.  Was a rough year but a much needed one.  With every massive bubble this pop needs to happen.  I expect next year to be some sideways numbers, I don't expect it to continue to fall at this massive rate.  Then hopefully by 2025 or so we start going back up.

2022 is little bit bad in the world of investment it because we all know how  the price of some coins getting drop and especially Bitcoin down by 65% which is quite big for drop off, hoping next year the price will go up higher so that we  the investors gets some profit. But some investor  did not say that 2022 is a bad  for them, but they say that 2022 is the best year to buy some coins cause they believe that someday they will get a lot of profit.

Wow. Of course i know that we are in a heavy bear market because obviously there was no way to miss that but looking at those raw numbers now just makes clear again how much wealth was lost in those last 12 months in the crypto market. I mean even BTC lost more than 60% of it's value. Those are just massive values. If such price swings would have happened in the traditional stock market, then we would already have another world financial crisis in the same extent as the one from the 1920's i think. Monero was holding up quite ok at the first glance but the reason for this is, that monero did not pump as much during the last bull run as the other projects.

2022 was quite unique and we even got to see so many event take place in the crypto industry, bith good and bad.

So most of the leading coins are in red mark only. Hope next year will be better.
Apparently we are hoping for the same thing, we are hoping that the market condition should be better than it was in 2022 and I do wish it comes to pass. Because so many businesses that are involved in cryptocurrency are stuck and they can't sell their holding because if they do they're are going to sell at a loss.

But I do believe that we are going to see a brighter day come 2023.

this year has had a bearish run this year in the past and there will always be deep dips in the price when the bulls leave and the market is ruled by the bears.
it's no wonder that all investors are currently competing to buy and collect their assets, from bitcoin to altcoins.
from the current price decline it's time for us to start buying and filling our wallets with some coins and of course the most important bitcoin and some altcoins that have good potential in the future when the bulls arrive.
