Kialara made some great BTC/USD art pieces but seems to not wish to honor my winning them at auction, it was a bit messy and others would have bid more than me if it had been clearer for sure, but now it seems he would rather go with others who will offer a little more and saying pay in the next 15 mins is just totally unprofessional when talking about a $6,000 deal that anyway wouldn't be mailed until next week.

Really nice collectors items here. I hope this auction works out great and goes smoothly for all participants! Best of luck!

when I win an auction the first thing I do is pay them, or discuss payment. there were emails requesting the payment so I can send you the addresses to fund which you ignored. You wanted me to implement a deposit system during the auction to ensure all bidders had funds to pay. You were having me verify everyone - I get that... but it was getting to be grating. I won't bother sharing those private messages b/c what does that help?

Needless to say, I won't be shipping these items to you.

my emails with the seller...

Hi Max,

I didn't know that there was an overnight express service from USPS, that would be great, it's fine to send them all on the same day but if the slabs aren't available for the other two to arrive by Wednesday then there's no rush at all for them as I have a friend here who takes care of my PO box when I'm away, it auto-signs for everything as soon as it arrives so that's np.

I'm heading to the UK on Wednesday so will be flying trans-Atlantic Wednesday and Thursday being afk then, so if you are planning on listing # 7 & # 9 then it would be best to wait until after mid week as I will not let them go for a low price if I can participate, please to also let me know when you do list them or an other coins anywhere as I don't monitor the for sale/auction threads, it was good that you got the publicity (even if it was a bit iffey) or I would not have seen the original auction thread.

I much appreciate you not diluting your brand and also I rather like the idea of Zimbabwe 100 Trillion or whatever notes, perhaps with 1 BTC funding as your brand can definitely run to that for small limited editions, also np with Uncle Sam's currency guardians.

Actually a whole series of the major fiats would be cool, ie the 500 Euro notes & 1,000 Swiss Francs ones at their BTC face value, China, Russia, Japan, etc - would cost a bit in materials but the media would love it I expect, the collectors too Smiley

Out to dinner now, more later/tomorrow...

ATB,

Otoh

...

Ok, can I ask when I will receive payment... It will be easier to explain to Anarchist that his piece is unavailable knowing it has been paid for.

Thanks!

...

If you don't have full payment, perhaps a deposit at least or payment for 05 right away?

....

I'm planning to begin asking the other bidders if they are still interested since you have not replied with any payment info or when you intend to pay. I'm not saying you won't but I want to wrap this up.

.....

"

My god, this is totally unprofessional and unwarranted, I just won all three of your items at top dollar price on a Friday evening now, there was no instant pay requirement in the OP, we are arranging a $6,000 sale which you need to chill about a bit IMO, it's not like you are mailing them right now anyway, I plan to pay on Sunday OK when I am clear with you about when and how they will be mailed next week FFS.

I can pay on Saturday of course but chill TFO please or you just come across as a hustler needing instant money from whoever rather than an artist who respects their clients.

......

I jumped through all your hoops, so I expect some clarity from you. Esp bc you wanted to make certain everyone had funds to pay. I don't care much about .5 btc difference in the bids. I just want respect and I'm not crazy about how you've acted since the beginning. I don't need money right away. You can have until noon central to pay in full or cancel if you like now. The other bidders have already offered to buy at their bid.

.......

I've made no hoops for you to jump through at all, I've just ensured that your auction was understandable and fair as stated in the OP to all, it seems that you don't care for my trying to be precise about your offering well sorry about that, there was some confusion about it all as posts in the thread show, anyway I do intend to pay in full of course, I just assumed like any other civilized auction we could iron out the shipping details in the next 24 hours etc without you sending me stuff like "If you don't have full payment, perhaps a deposit at least or payment for 05 right away? " - I mean really, why be so rude when you can check my rep and see that I am a BTC early adopter and can easily buy this thousands of times over.

........

If you can pay a thousand times over, actually, please send payment in full now, within the next 10-15 min, or I'm going with the other bidders. You can leave me negative feedback if you like. They said they would pay immediately. If I win an auction and the seller sends me a BTC address, I pay or at least discuss it.  You ignored it.

.........

No I did no ignore it, it was never a requirement to pay instantly, I will not be hustled on a $6,000 sale, it is a Friday night and I've been out for dinner and drinks, I do not open my wallet in those times after drinking especially as there is no need, I will send you full payment tomorrow unless you renegade on our deal as you seem intent upon doing, I will post our emails to the thread so others can at least see what's going down here.

"10-15 min" FFS!!!

Pretty cool how this went, but I wish Max had stuck to his original plan of 1 per person. Congrats to Max for making such cool pieces and to Otoh for getting all of them.

When I decided to relist the auction, after meeting with my attorney, I was in the mindset that I wanted to get this project off my hands quickly. I'd do a one-day auction for three of them followed by an auction of two. I did not remember to add the one-per-person rule to the post, and think it was the moment Otoh shared that two were for his friends that I remembered. By then I didn't see how it would be possible to add the rule back, as people were placing bids for all three. If Otoh won the 1st, and wasn't qualified to bid on the second, others may be upset that he had bids placed on an item he couldn't technically win.

Sorry hit send to quick.  The part that I liked about the piece was adding the use equivalent with the date associated with the funding.  It will be neat to look back, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc. The value of the .23 versus the $100.  Well done and congrats to otah in getting fine pieces.

Around 13 btc for 3 $100 bills, wow.  These are really nice but my range was way lower.  Wish he made more so they could go for a little cheaper...   Undecided   either way beautiful pieces

Dont worry they will soon come when the seller realises what a killing he's made off the original 3.

Expect some different valued notes and 3 butthurt initial buyers  Tongue

Quite possible! Cheesy

On the other hand these are the 1st and if he can demand such high prices I doubt he'd mass produce. Wiser to produce (work) less and keep demand high! Also he did say he wasn't keen on working with notes again due to legal concerns.

This was a one time thing. Even if I did this again in with $50's I don't think the demand would be the same. It's not worth it, and it would hurt my image which would negatively effect the value of these originals. I wouldn't be surprised to see similar listings from other sellers though — on Zimbabwe 100 Trillion notes perhaps.

Hi Kialara,

So in summary, I was fortunate enough to win all three lots of your auction:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1437556.0;all

Serial 01 ends @ 2 pm CST, April 15th. (JF 03296801) for 4.5 BTC

Serial 03 ends @ 3 pm CST, April 15th. (JF 03296803) for 4.8 BTC

Serial 05 ends @ 5 pm CST, April 15th. (JF 03296805) for 4.0 BTC

Payment: Bitcoin only. Total 13.30 BTC & 0.23 BTC x 3 for funding them = 0.69 BTC, a total of 13.99 BTC.

Payment Address: 1CxD3apiQPWK7EM5Xnm9QrfKZv3FJeKHYk

If you give me the three funding addies then I'll send them 0.23 BTC each from the addie in my sig: 1otohotohMoQoxHuxLBveQiZcV3Pji3Tc I will also pay you the 13.30 BTC from this addie & sign it with the auction thread link.

Please to confirm that all three are encased in perspex slabs like the # 1 one illustrated in the OP.

I will email you with my shipping info which is a PO box, I assume from your blog http://www.maxfield.me/blog/ that you're in the States and can send these by USPS Priority Express Insured, it may not be for the full amount, approx $5,700 - in fact I think the limit is just $100 per package, but if you send them in three separate packages then that would be fine. If you'd rather send them by courier like Fed-Ex then I can give you a residential address np.

Please to send them on Monday the 18th if possible as it works best for me if they arrive by Wednesday the 20th ideally, but I can make arrangements if they are going to arrive later than that, many thanks.

Otoh

Meant to say scammers, wrong ending times...

That scammer that popped in asking for payment totally messed me up and I lost all track of time. Auctioning here is a whole new beast compared to eBay. I believe I will be able to work something out with Anarchist on one of the other bills that he will be happy with.
