Same as me here then,,, using a small portion of my salary every month to invest into crypto, except I wish I could put in as much as 20%! I should say also that you should consider putting most of it into Bitcoin and not altcoins, although to see the prices these days, I guess it is tempting to go into altcoins in the hope that they recover their price.

Getting into crypto is always about patience. We can't blame people who get anxious for every price drop and that's just how crypto is, the volatility is what makes it exciting. That's why knowledge is so important here to see projects with potential, that have high volume in trading via Binance and shows real growth despite Bitcoin going down. And as I read from somewhere, the successful ones in crypto are the people who knows how to wait.

Bicoin pumped, that is true, but it's not true that altcoins pump as well.

Just like you, I also loss because I believe that 2017 is the start of a good long journey but I was mistaken, it only made my portfolio sink.
I'm still hopeful on some of the altcoins holding but majority of it looks like dead and I already accepted that I loss money on some but still optimistic on some, so if I can hold longer, I only hope that it will make me profitable in general the moment I sell it at the right time.

I did this last year,I just left my folio without checking for 5 months because I believe looking for the prices daily will only brings me stressful journey and besides there’s a lot of things I can do aside from looking at falling market

We should fear about the current situation of the market because now currently Bitcoin dominance is kept increasing and this makes many potential altcoins losing their value in the market. It will take some time to recover the price but we should not bother about the current situation, we need to hold them until the prices start recovering.
