There are a lot of reasons why things keep getting worse and worse every day. There's the bad government. They and their terrible decisions that are continuously causing detriment to the nation. There's the fact that people continue to export even though they know that that's what's making things difficult in this country. There's the fuel subsidy issue and many others.

It's the fact that when the dollar naira exchange was about 1800-1900 naira per dollar, surprisingly things were even better. Now that it reduced, it's as if the prices of a lot of commodities soared even higher than it was. This is to tell you that what was causing these problems in the country wasn't the exchange rate but a lot of factors that are bombarding on each other and the government continues to overlook these matters for God so knows what reasons. Only God would have mercy on this country.

Normally as the country be so, nothing dey easy again for us to do, true true to see food chop no easy as at all, no be person wey get money to buy food, na e go chop or no be person wey dey work, na e go see food chop, no work self wey person dey do wey go fit dey sustain person, to get work for the way our country be so na still big wahala, now na by begging we dey take dey survive, anywhere we see food, we chop because now, no be only us dey take care of ourselves, everybody dey take care of each other in one way or the other, now no be say I get everything o, now na I get person and we ourselves wey be traders dey follow dey make things hard for us, in a way say dem dey sale things cost. Just imagine say u still go hustle come back with small money and that small money to prepare food for you for dat day and the next day but u carry dat money go market see say u no fit buy even the least wey u go chop, na e make e dey advisable say make person no come dey depend only one source of income, because our country now no easy, we all struggle to survive and also by God grace too.

Everybody dey observe am but the thing be say nothing is being done about it but at first the government was blaming the naira falling for the high cost things but even as the naira is gaining on the dollar the price of things is still stagnant and one would be surprised what then is the real course and for me I think everyone both me and you nai dey cause thing.

My brother of a truth, for we country now, to see food chop no be small thing, most house hold for my neighborhood wey dey live in abundance before, no dy fit eat three square meal again, some family na even one time then dy see food chop.

So my brother, as the country be so, anything wey you know say they put food for ur table, my brother hold am strong oo, just imagine how things hard now upon say you dy work, how e go be if you no dy do anything? So as a typical Nigerian wey we be, na to keep on grinding and wait for better days.

One of the major serious problem in our country is the high cost of petrol, it has gotten to the point where marketers  will buy goods may be at #20000 but before the goods will get to their destination they may have spent #50000 for transport,so you see the one of the reasons why cost of goods has become very high. You bought something of 20k and transportation fee is 50k and you must sell it at an amount that will give you profits which is the aim of any business.

Omo for this 9ja ehh to even eat two square is now a big challenge.you have to leave morning food and wait till 12pm and eat both morning and afternoon food. With the inflation in price in the goods of food.its really a big issue to be able,when you go to market today it’s a normal price and tomorrow another new price and this salary is very static and Hardly change.

Wetin u buy today u go go tomorrow to buy am u go hear say en don add money. Why? dollar rise, nay d national anthem for inflation and every person one take opportunity of every chance wey come there way. My mother Dy cultivate cassava. Cassava when she bin sell two years back for #4000 she Dy sell am for #12000. I understand with her because if she still sell am for that old price the value of the money no go reach to buy other commodities for the market. Now my question be say, na who dy measure the degree of inflation for them In relation to dollar because no foreign exchange here.

Brother no b small tin for dis our country Nigeria o,the major cause of high price especially foods in particular for consumption as a result of higher cost of fuel imagine fuel of #500 dat can take a bike man for a week,can only last for one day imagine how hard it's for Us so many people increase the price of food items bcox transportation don cost , secondly we have shortages of farm production bcoz of other places wey they dem dey produce food to save for Nigeria like some party of the states like niger state,Kaduna State zamfara etc bandits take over those areas and didn't allow people to go farm Nigeria is getting out of hand we pray for better Nigeria Amen

For this naija now to eat belleful for local restaurants u gats hold like 1500 or 1200 minimum o if not e no go bellfu u everything don cost and na so market women dey reduce there hand naija suppose don dey produce agricultural produce for export I no know wetin be there problem per say, If our country continue like this na be say our children go really suffer if we no put some basic amenities in place to help there future, I no blame those wey dey jakpa if na me na the same thing I go do, na to go find greener pastures for better country because this country no way

Nigerians are reaping the effect of allowing a bad government remain in power because consequences dey always dey for all this kind matter. This nor be time to dey over chop anyhow, person need to start to dey plan their meals well, because the price of foodstuffs dey increase regularly. Some ways wey you fit use take help yourself na to;
a) Cook more at home than buying food. You go spend money to cook, but e go save you more than when you continue to buy food. If you dey buy food make e be once in a while.

b) Buy foodstuffs for plenty quantity, nor dey buy small small things because you go dey spend more.

c) You fit start to dey do agriculture, dey try grow some things wey you dey chop if you fit.

If I ask you when last you buy the infamous Abakeleke rice, I doubt say you Dey buy am. If e reach buy cloths, we go commot body for Aba made, Dey fine designers, British and US brands, we don Dey even fear made in China. We no Dey too patronize our country and na for good reason shah, via say fake plenty but that na due to watin, low patronage still count because, people no wan put better on stick and have a long growing mentality run the business to a lose. We gats first buy Nigeria to boost our economy.
Corruption matter still Dey o but, we need buy Nigeria kwa.

Another thing way Dey there to understand be say,
These products we Dey feel say, na locally made or produced. These persons way Dey sell am, them dey sell am so them fit get money buy other products o. Most of which might not be locally produced. If them no sell with better price, them fit no get money to buy watin them need or to restock. E reach everybody but, some people no Dey tool fill am. Na so e just be.

Unfortunately, OP no they again for the forum and e account done they banned for a long time. If not him for they see say the true true the country done really hard and people no they see enough food to chop. For Nigerian if person done chop two times a day you done chop weting no nice. Because sometimes no be chop o, when you look your responsibility and things wey they your hands to do my brother you go they minimize the way you they spend. Last last food no be everything, even as God done make our body to they hungry sometimes we they feel like we no one chop and money go they our mind.

OP, since when you create dis your post reach now, d price of chopping breakfast don pass d amount wey you talk before. Dis na just within three months and things just dey worse dey go for the country. Dis no be wetin we plan for or wish for the country but as things dey go now, we need divine intervention from God to help us see through the minds of our leaders wey dey make things hard for us and life unbearable for us to live in our own fatherland. I just hope that tomorrow go better pass today soon.

Many are finding it so difficult to earn a living due to the rate of increasing inflation in the country, things are just getting more complicated instead of getting better because there's no much avenue for some people to get opportunities in surviving through the economy hardships that's going on, we cannot conclude that this is only affecting our own country alone, other countries got affected too as well, but when we plan to have a sustainable alternative on our own for the sake of ourselves and the dependent family we have, we may not be really affected, we can also encourages farming for the settlement of the demands on food items.

My broda dis one wey dey you like say nah new thing to you shock me oh, things no dey increase on a monthly basis oh nah daily, go market to buy something of #1500 the next day dat same thing go cost #1700. Like is crazy my broda, I dey see all these things as high cost of fuel prize if not every where for balance, because nah transportation them go blame am put.
Man no fit use #1000 chop again complete food again and we never really see how to manage December spending as we dy so. But no matter how e be people wey complain say things hard, prizes of food stuff don fly go up, with all these complain people go still buy plenty things for Xmas celebration trust me.

 I day tell you with watin day sup for the country, hunger day wound some people, this inflation really touch everybody both big and small, too chop com be major issue for some people. Cos of this issue people eye day red and day fit do anything to make this bread. Even to commot sef the transportation allow go discourage your movement, due to fuel money wey go up too. Most of watjn we day chop and use for this country we day mostl import them and now way boarder day close due to policy from government, all this government policy na watin day make us suffer like this, 1k our highest currency no day last again, naija which way ?    Government no try at all they no reason us, we no day ever day their plan, our country na enter chop your own commot and the money dey go round for their circus. Na person way open eyes go fit commot from this slavery, make we no go loose guard get hope for our government, every body day find way cause they know line don scatter for front. Our problem go need special intervention if we wan commot from this bondage. Our old men for office no get any remorse at all ee no concern them cause they no day see watin day sup for them Street. Na to get hand work because na only fit save yourself and of course with God by your side.

I go advice say as things they cost make we too they Hustle because no food for lazy man for this country. Furthermore make we try get hand work and we should not depend on government totally ooo.

The thing be say naija people like to dey use everything as opportunity to make money, e get somethings like even leaves wey everybody can plant in their houses if you go market here the price it is still expensive,  the price of things in the market increases everyday . I no still understand wetin make garri and rice Don dey do competition for price now, garri is the last hope of the common man wey be say every man fo fit afford to buy but now it is one  of the most expensive products in the market.  Almost every indigenes of every village produces garri,  e no suppose go up.

Since wey my mama born me, we dey pray make eh better. We dey complain of the previous administration, now we have come to realize that Buhari really loved and took care of us as a father. Since the ascension of the new administration, I saw myself going broke. My clients I render some services for at least 5k now came back begging for the same services to be render at 2k or even less, I had no option than to render the service cos these are the ones that pay any amount I charge them to render such services to them. The money on my account started dropping drastically, when I realized myself, i saw 3k in my account omo! I cucuma carry my bag enter village go chillax waiting to fall back to the street when Christmas season approaches. Eh choke!

The increase in fuel price is nothing but the major cause of the problem, even if all Nigerians have farm today, there will definitely be hunger. Let me make it clear, the vehicle and motor cycle requires fuel to power them before they can work and that will definitely make seller to add their expenses to the product before selling to consumers or industries. Whatever that is produced by industries will also bear the effect of fuel as some engines uses fuel while others that uses light also have their bills, all this will throw the price of the final product up. Apart from fuel, light is another problem, do you know that most of the power plant in Nigeria ate powered with diesel? , You can Google search it. If the cost of fuel is up, then the cost of electricity will also be altered technically.

Do you also know the level of insecurity in Nigeria? As it stands now, in some places, farming in remote area is a suicide attempt. There lots of causes, to this problem.

One among this problem that the government both federal, state and local government should be concern about is the market manipulation, once their is a rise in price of goods, sellers don't beat down their price even when the price falls back.
