I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?

Common and not a surprising thing that do happen when it comes to ICO investments where dumping its price lower into its ICO price and thats the risk of it and this is why i dont make any put ups into projects either the project would turn to be a scam or would dump its price to the floor when it do hits exchangers.Out 3 ICO i have participated all of them didnt give out any profits due to price dump even i did able to get in when its still on pre-sale.

There are many reasons for that but the important one is the investors dumping their coins when it listed on exchanges so the prices fell much from the ICO price that is why lot of people lose their interest on ICO investment where making profits become highly impossible in 2018.But not all projects are facing this there maybe some excemption so you need to find really good project to make money.

People want to quickly sell coins they got on an airdrop. It's free money for them and they want them asap.

Because once the ICO is over, many investors will dump the tokens and exchange them for more stable coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, so after most icos are over, the price of the token will fall. Of course, the price of the token may also Will rise, which was common last year, but this year it is almost impossible.

Because the bounty hunters and the early buyer sell as soon the coin is listed somewhere. Since there an important volume of sales then the price goes down

yes that makes sense.. but how can you prevent that?

At the moment, due to the crisis on the gate of cryptocurrency, almost every coin when entering the market has a price below ICO. I think if you invest in ICO, then do it for a long time, and do not expect to get a quick profit.

Previously, everyone kept hold their coins. But now there are many participants in the bounty. And since the market does not behave consistently. Everyone is trying to bring at least something at a good price. And this starts the drain and the price drops.
Today, for the most part, the project is very weak. And not only the participants of the Bounty, Yes, and investors are trying to get a quick profit, with minimal losses.

This my opinion...not only bounty and Airdrop has dumped the price....investor early (presale) who buy in cheaper than other investor who join in public sale.... let's said presale price is 0.01 and public sale price is 0.05-0.1 until end...and when to exchange the price is between 0.05-0.1...the investor in presale Will Sell imediatly...cause take profit...and searching again new Ico token... So not only bounty and Airdrop but investor too take profit...cause right now Ico is in Indonesian word is buy peanuts everywhere...so there's no value about Ico than take profit....

I think the reason isThe private group that is actually getting the tokens with sometimes 80% bonus. The early phases bonuses that are offered by the project for the public they usually call it the pre-sale bonus then round 1 then round 2 and every stage or phase of them have different bonuses.

You are correct this is also the main reason behind price getting dumped as soon as the new ICO coin get listed as the ICO investment bonus when calculated the price they get cheaper so as soon as it gets listed they cashout and next dumping is done by bounty hunters who as soon as get their bounty coin they just dump in the market. The ICO which are good will always bounce back when this all dumping is finished and then the real investors start accumulating the coin and pump the coin to new high price.

The price drops because of the situation on the market. Because the vast majority of projects developed on the platform Ethereum, because the tokens of these projects followed the trend of the Eth...

There is a number of reasons for this.

1- The private group that is actually getting the tokens with sometimes 80% bonus.
2- The early phases bonuses that are offered by the project for the public they usually call it the pre-sale bonus then round 1 then round 2 and every stage or phase of them have different bonuses.
3- Bounty hunters selling their tokens to liquidate their rewards.

All this case the instant drop in price in most ICOs while you think -50% from original price is considered to be loos it most certainly is not loos for the for anyone who bought at 51%+ bonus so imagine 80%+ bonuses.

Basically all the points mentioned above. Would like to add to point 3 Bounty Hunters & Airdrop participants.

Furthermore the later you get into an ICO the more at risk you are. So sometimes when you cannot obtain the pre-sale, phase 1, phase 2 bonus etc. Just hold out on the ICO till the token/coin is listed on an exchange. It allows you to end up buying the tokens/coins below ICO price and obtain more for the same amount of BTC/ETH.

If you aren't an investor you will not benefit their high prices of their ICO, because mostly what happens after their ICO is that those investors and the development team will automatically dump their tokens so that they can benefit the hype and then after the releasing of stakes those bounty hunters will just take the left over of the hype in the market.

I suspect you are talking about more recent ICO. The ICO are raising funds mainly in BTC and ETH. Both their prices have kept falling this year which reduces the fiat capital raised by those projects. Overall we are also in a bear market where ICO are seen as especially high risk and people flee to BTC or stable coins.

I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?
It's because people invested in ICO just for short term only as they will dump once they get few profits and move to other ICO to invest and repeat their strategy. Also, the market situation can influence on the token price on the exchanges.

This is not a perfect time for listing in exchanges, we are in bear market, it is hard for ico to maintain ico price after exchange listing. That is why price goes down after list.

I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?
Because the pre-sale investors are dumping their tokens to the market and they are trying to get fast buck. Remember you should aware about how much bonus that has offered by the ico team to the early investors before they are doing their ICO. when the price has been touching the ico price and they will dump it because they have acquired a huge bonus.
Beside early-bird investor, most of bounty hunters and airdrop hunters dump token at low price after they get their token, it make token price dropping after ICO.
Also do not forget the whales.
If you are investing your money into a good project, and expecting a good result in the future because of their developement.
The whales will suppress the price because they want to accumulate it as cheap as possible.
But mostly due to bounty hunters and pre-sale,
they got a lot of coins from their bounty and their pre-sale,and it does not make any sense if they are not taking their profit from it.

This is normal. Token prices are constantly falling. A very wrong time for an ICO investment. If you're going to invest in ICO, you have to be careful.
