People got used to make al least double of ICO price directly when the coin comes on any exchange, and now that this trend reversed a litlle bit there's a lot of disapointment.

Have there been any tokens where the trading price on exchanges at the very start fell considerably below the ICO price and has not recovered?

Yes, when an ICO issues their Token at say $1 or $2 this leaves a lot more potential for Fall, or a downward swing compared to ICOs that start smaller at something like $0.01 each. Heck Paragoncoin took in 40million and has yet to release coins.

Did anybody invest in STARTA? This is a project that invests in tech start-ups from eastern europe with the money raised in the ICO. Its a waves token, and eversince the ICO its only traded on the waves DEX. The initial price was $1 = 1 STA, right after the ICO the price dropped to $0.6 and never recovered. It was some times even as low as $0.4. As it is only traded on waves DEX, there is no trade volume and therefore no liquidity at all. Almost everybody that invested in the ICO is now a bagholder of this token and cant even sell at a huge loss as there is no liquidity. No way of getting the initial investment out. This is how it is sometimes. Crypto can be a big risk, if you fail to do your due dilligence as good as you should have.

Also some ICO offer very big bounty. More than 1% bounty (some 3%) and all bounty hunters sell so price goes down.

There are few reasons for tokens prices go down:
1) Most of the tokens prices go down after the ICO cause nobody has any strategy for token management after ICO.
2) The projects who have media plans for at least 6 months to show their work and keep everybody holding their tokens have better chances to succeed.
3) Bounty campaign is another problem as mentioned in this thread many times already. You have to be  aware of ICO flippers who are buying with discounts (and i many cases with hidden discounts by the team on presales).
4) The team can dump the price too. It is hard to track that situation even if they say their tokens will be distributed only 6 months after the ICO.

Analysis is the key.

It is mainly due to the too high discounts. Every time there is a dump from bounties, discounts, so if ICO wants a long term with business - it must watch out.

Some of this element were noted here:

Many ICO was success for bounty participate. When campaign is complete then bounty manager given reward their bounty participate. But lot of fool bounty hunter sell their token in market below price.New investor buy this in low price.for this reason token price fall after ICO.

The problem with bounty hunters selling their coins/tokens is certainly there, but still, you must keep in mind that the bounties are many times not that much coins/tokens compared to the whole supply. Many bounty programs offer 1% or 2% of all sold tokens, means its in most cases 1% or 2% of 50% of the whole supply, because only 50% of all coins/tokens are sold during the ico. Even if it is 1% or 2% of whole supply its still not that much. So for me Im not sure if the bounty hunters really can affect the price that much, in my opinion its more the "ico hopping" many people are doing. Buy on Ico and sell direct after it hits exchange to get to the next ico... I dont like this strategy, but everyone his own.

There are plenty of reason ,first are the noob bounty hunter who dump their token and there are many bounty participant that join campaign with multiple accounts hence increase their bounty.second are the whales which create dump situation to accumulate cheap tokens hence new trader dump their token in this situation.third are bots which also cause dump situation as their rapidly set the sell wall.fourth are the groups which create fud about project hence decrease value.fifth are the exchanges that do iou of token hence first the price  pump and dump greatly.

Many ICO have their token price fall after ICO.As much as I know many bounty hunter work with ICOs bounty. When end ICO and bounty hunter get their bounty token then they sell there token.Everyone wants to sell tokens together and Sells at a very low price Then the price of tokens decreased.

I think bounty hunters can't dump price only if campaign have limited number of participants. most often where it is limited to 100-200 people. in this case, they get a higher amount and many of them decide to hold. Of course in bounty campaign where to have 6k participants, there is certainly a large number of bots and there not too much interested people for the project

If it is a project that corresponds to this bad situation of the market, it will probably continue in the process of damage already. because no project can properly resist the price in this environment. resistance is almost impossible. many projects have even damaged 5x. the important thing is the next process. will many of the harmful projects return to their normal values with the improvement of the market? it is likely that some coins will start to recover in a few months. the important question here is which coin will be.

some projects are still unclear what it is. the indorse project as an example. I think 8x damage at ico price. maybe more. I do not know if the project is scam or not. then the lampix project. at least 5x damage.

Not only single ICO many ICO's will be like that only because it should consolidate to increase it's price. Once it settles it will start increasing it's in the market. If the company has a solid road map then the price will start increasing.

Many factors.
Some coins getting dumped probably cause of airdrop or bounty distributed for free and like nothing to lose, peeps just keep dumping.
Since it's dumped over and over again, peeps getting scared and follow it and then no one bid, no more.
Coin example is SONM. it's dumped and hard to return to the peak.

I would say you should invest your money in several coins, split in on equal amount between 5 to 10 dfferent coins, that way you increase your odds to have a winner coin

Ico that has a fixed supply of coins in the market can fall if the expected funds the project sought couldn't reach. However if it is a feasible project it will bounce and rise again.

Very few ICO's are worth buying at all. But of the good ones where the people involved have known skills and a good business record, their ICO price seems to go below launch price over half the time, but not always. I suppose it also depends on general altcoin market conditions. Even good people require at least 9 months from launch of ICO for people to put better value on the project.
