The trouble with many altcoins is that they are used for speculative purposes only at the beginning of their appearance. Then the speculators sell the coins and destroy the investors ' interest in them. Perhaps now there is the same speculative game with bitcoin. i will choose which stable to invest, and to buy i will lok some coins that new listed on market. and i will pick on real altcoins and not tokens. tokens have more risk than altcoins in market and i not wanna pick that

Only research. Sometimes deep, sometimes superficially. But I agreed too many tokens. And 80% from these means nothing. I think 2018-2019 will show who must die on that market
Go through the project development process, the team behind the project, the community that supports the project and of course the use case of the project before investing in that. Make yourself satisfied with all question in mind.
Now a days many ICO coming daily mean new coin comes daily. Almost 1200 coins in traded in this crypto market but if wiling to invest from those coins and confused which one to select then go to coinmarketcap and select from top 20 coins. And then go to their site and study well about that coin. Check how much that coin will be effective to solve the problems for that purpose its launched. And check their developer and advisory team how much experienced they are. So now if you feel that coin have potential future then invest and hold for profit.
I think if I have a little money I invest my money on ico that has good potential for the future, and invest in altcoin like eth, tron, qtum, nano, I will hold until the end of the year until the high price
