When the increase of Bitcoin happened, there were also a big influx of projects in the market and have been attracting many investors enticing them to join in those projects. Many of the investors of course did not do a lot of reading and checking on these projects and ends up losing their money because some of the projects are scams. Those who always use social media will tend to check for information, only on social media and then will not do their part in making sure they get real information.

It's also sad to see incident after incident about fraudulent projects that always happen, where maybe many are expecting something because of the pandemic situation that occurs. but what was expected was not fulfilled because of the greedy man who manipulated many irresistible projects without looking at any situation. especially with the high enough increase in bitcoin, many hope that there is a good and profitable project but it doesn't sound like that, in contrast to when bitcoin rose in 2017, many were helped.

The behavior of the fraudsters has indeed continued to grow. It is clear that social media plays a very important role and now it is starting with telegrams which are used as a means of fraud and sweet promises.
The problem is that this cannot be finished and there are no actions that can prevent it from being repeated.

- DEXs and Swap service giving free airdrop (e.g. Uniswap, 1nch exchanges)
I honestly thought I was the only one seeing those fake uniswap and 1inch airdrops everywhere on telegram, after the uniswap airdrop that marveled alot of crypto enthusiasts, scammers began to create airdrops with names that are kind of similar to uniswap, same thing with 1inch and they were promising huge amount of money about $1500 for completing a simple task like follow us on Twitter like and retweet their post, in the end they are all scams, none of them will ever pay.

Scammers are an Infected part of crypto industry unfortunately it's impossible to vanish them forever, they will always come up with their poor intentions of ruining the crypto industry but they won't successful if people always being aware and spread awareness between new people so they could protect themselves to fall in scams.
Newbies often want quick benefits, they don't update their knowledge. Actually, on each ANN thread there are a lot of comments about the project's credibility, they can follow but they don't do that. Scam projects never go away, they're like parasites.

This is a very simple but important warnings, and if I was the op, I did also add:

-refrain or stay away from every airdrop on telegram, be it hosted on groups, channels or bots, they are all 99.9 percent scam.

Being able to find good and truthful crypto start this days have become like night mare, there are no longer serious projects with mindset of succeeding no matter what, what they do now is they sometimes come out genuinely but if they are not able to raise enough money to fund the project, they either run away with the one they raised leaving the project to die slowly and people loosing their time and money or they refund the investors leaving the bounty hunters and other people who took time promoting the project to lick their wounds, it's an unbalanced world after all.

That’s how scammers, always take advantage of good moments to create cheating and fraud. When the bitcoin market is good as it is today, scammers
will come up with various plans to support their plan for success. But there are always many people stuck, especially for those beginners  and for  those
who want to earn a lot of money instantly. Those like that are very gullible.

where there is big money spinning, of course there will be opportunities for people to commit fraud, including in crypto investment which does seem to be a pretty good land for scammers to get money, as a bounty hunter of course we have a big enough responsibility in promoting a crypto project. so of course we must always be vigilant and careful in choosing a project for us to follow so that we don't get caught up in a scam project that harms us and the investors later.
I think bounty hunters do not have a big responsibility in terms of viewing and participating in bounties, because each bounty participant is free to determine which bounty they will participate in and of course they also see it according to what they have analyzed by themselves.
The bounty hunters are having the responsibility to DYOR before try to join in anycampaign. I have seen so many complaints that created by the hunters regarding the scam bounty while there's a scam accusation against  it already published before the end of bounty. The hunters didn't even watch it and they got scammed.
The hunters are so blindly. They didn't care about the analyzation that will prevent them to participate in scam bounty

By the end of 2020, along with the strong growth of Bitcoin, some people used the trust of many to scam.
For example:
- Create virtual projects,
- Create virtual tokens,
- Create an investment website for the purpose of calling for investment,
- Create an airdrop that calls for people to deposit fees to pay tokens
- ....
Everyone should be careful when participating in projects like that.
Thank you so much.

As much as the date of your post, the value of Bitcoin has achieved another ATH and along with it is the creation of a lot of Alternate Cryptocurrencies platforms that will only be hyped because of the rush in Btc's value. Its true that we cannot determine which project will pursue its development as long as there are users but there will be surely some platforms that will only be working until the developers gain their profit.

Yeah, The 4 points that you mentioned above are their main strategy for carrying out their mission, usually they always offer big gifts to get the victim's attention to join their project. The growing a development of the crypto industry, scammers are increasingly proliferating, and they will always be looking for ways to get money in fraudulent ways.
Let's fight scammers by reminding each other, we must always be careful and do some research before deciding to join a project.

not just right now, but many project scam that have occurred since ICO, therefore I rarely invest in ICO or new project, because I prefer to invest in project that already have a product and already listed on exchange, then I usually prefer to invest in altcoin that are in the top 500 coinmarketcap and have a high trading volume, because it is safer and can give me a big profit.

After bitcoin price increasing, many project release at the market and many of them attract many investors to invest in every project. Still, unfortunately, many of them do not search for more info about the project. The investors attract to that project because they read on social media and other websites that the project will have success in the future, and the team can convince them to invest in that project. But it will not take too long to know the project scams them or not because after they give them money, people behind on the project will run away with the money without telling the people.

There were lots of scam airdrops and bounties  in crypto industry last year that's why i am being lazy now to join those types of waste of time airdrops and bounties. For newbies, always check the legitimacy as much as possible, if too good to be true then make a second thought of joining.

I agree with this opinion that in 2020 there were many scammers .2017 was the same. We must not despair and continue to work, invest and carefully check projects. !!!!!!!

the amount of scammers will increase year after year. moreover, some projects have a good improvement continously. it's a good progress. but nowaday, it's easy for some people to create some fake token/coins now, which mean they also give a chance for scammers to do their action.

Scammers are multiplying each year, they can adopt every updates and developments.

Be very careful as there are scammers who are good hiding from this market, they can easily create tokens that we may think is good
enough or trustable enough but in the long term process once they've already achieve their targets they'll just simply runaway with investors money living the project to die along the way.

This year more projects are expected to come out and it is inevitable that there will be a scam project so be careful with the participating projects and even the bounties so as not to waste your money used and it is important that you know their website if it is legit it or not be their admin or ceo to make sure they are legit.

As long as you don't have to spend money to take part in the airdrop or the like you can follow it,
but if you have to pay money, then don't follow it, because the possibility of a scam is very big, as an investor you must understand this trick, most real projects give for free, but scam projects require you to pay money to take your reward.

For airdrop you can do like that, but at least for bounty we need to invest more time to know about the project, because we will invest our time for doing some bounty task. I hope 2021 is a good year for many new project  Grin

Scammers in the crypto world are always there, even they use various ways to earn  money easily. So for  beginners do not get  caught up
with offers that promise a lot of refunds. Like an airdrop with a big prize, but you have to  spend a  certain  amount  of ethereum or bitcoin
to get the prize. Don’t do that, even if the requested amount is not large. If multiplied by a thousand people who send, it will be enormous.
