By the end of 2020, along with the strong growth of Bitcoin, some people used the trust of many to scam.
For example:
- Create virtual projects,
- Create virtual tokens,
- Create an investment website for the purpose of calling for investment,
- Create an airdrop that calls for people to deposit fees to pay tokens
- ....
Everyone should be careful when participating in projects like that.
Thank you so much.

The cryptocurrency market has always been and will be a huge number of scammers and hackers. Everyone who has been on the market for a long time knows this and uses all precautions so as not to lose their money (for example, Trezor cold wallets). And all the addresses to which you transfer money and sites must be rechecked several times!

Guys, we can't ignore scammers and we can't completely clean the crypto industry from the scams. The scammers are there for cleaning the market from weak hands who have ignored the simple investment rules it is not ethical but mother nature is cruel always. Be careful and don't believe everything you see on advertisement channels.

Scam project coming from ICO or IEO although you see listed on bigger exchange, I think scam project not only developer run away and not responsibility with his coin but scam project have lower price under IEO or ICO, they not have any way how to make ICO and IEO have higher price, never take risk with scam project basic on ICO or IEO.
buying tokens/coins when IEO on major exchanges does not guarantee we will be safe...
requires more research on a project so that our funds can be safe when we invest. there are also many tokens/coins that IEO at Binance and probit end up scam or have no value because there is no seriousness from the developer towards their coins/tokens.
Buying tokens from top exchanges IEO is far more safer than anything in crypto space right now, top exchanges don't just bring any random project for investors to invest money on, the projects are always top notch, still I still recommend doing your own research first, binance launchpad never failed me
Mate, those days are gone. It is harder now to find the safe IEO on well-known exchanges, almost all projects tend to take token sale offers of small exchanges. Investing is hard in the new projects but some projects still worth taking risks in the long term. Binance Launchpad is dead too, I am sure there is no more than 1 successfully launched IEO project on Binance per month.

Different tricks are as of now clear for the past a long time and we cannot halt them. That's why it's moreover a portion of getting into crypto space is to know how to maintain a strategic distance from and keep yourself secure from scammers. Since the selection is ceaselessly developing, more scammers will utilize it to mislead tenderfoots. Keep in mind to continuously take care with ventures you're choosing and to continuously do earlier investigate.

I agree with your opinion because the price of bitcoin soared makes it easier for scammers to commit fraud by creating a virtual website for investment with a payment method using bitcoin. I hope we can all tell the difference between the original project and the scam project. so that we can avoid scam projects and lose the assets we already have.

The situation today reminds me of 2017, when the market was just seething with scam and a lot of people stopped investing. It was an ICO boom now there is no ICO but there are decentralized exchanges that sell ETH tokens. Isn't it the same? =)

Getting involved in cryptocurrencies and crypto world, you really need to be wiser, more vigilant and more cautious in order to avoid fraudulent and scam because there are plenty of advantage taker and scammer just roaming around the crypto world waiting for their victim. Keep in mind those attributes in order not to fall on their traps.

There are many scam projects and altcoins as well as hacking and creating fakes websites so be careful when choosing the projects you will join because there are many potential investors and bounty hunters who participate in them and most of them are great in telegram groups and social media so do not just believe because others they use bot member accounts.
sometimes a project will show an indication of a scam after the project has finished making a sale or has finished a bounty campaign. Some early indications are still in doubt. but when the sale and bounty campaign is over there will be a clear indication of a project scam.

This is something that often happens when a scam will occur, they always want participants to pay for them so that they are stuck with a bounty or some kind of phishing that eventually money is wasted, this is worth studying before promoting so that the scam disappears from the forum, my advice for beginners must be careful heart as is often the case
There are a lot of tips we can get from this forum on how to avoid scam projects currently circulating on crypto forums, as you said, we can't completely avoid existing scam projects but at least we can avoid that by following the project that is handle by a trusted bounty manager because I am sure the bounty manager will do in-depth and thorough research before handling the project and get used to following projects that do have escrow in every bounty payment or bounty project that already has tokens /coins listed on the market.
it was a wise choice. unfortunately I myself am not so sure about the big name of the bounty mananger. If you look at first, many bounty mananger names currently may not get a project or have even stopped promoting a project. From 2018 until the end of last year, I think the project scam cannot be handled seriously.

I believe that the peak of user activity in the cryptocurrency market occurred in 2016 and since then all users who have remained faithful to the cryptocurrency and all their assets have already gained some experience and can evaluate various projects, Analyzing the available information and the conditions imposed in order to prevent fraud and do not be deceived. Anyway, I hope so.
2016 there are not many projects. When compared to 2017, I saw so many new projects with the popularity of ICOs. the market is increasing and that is also the reason the scammers are getting bigger. 2018 to 2020 seems to be the year when the market is experiencing a decline in investor confidence. but mid-2020 is a good start when investment starts to pick up again. but I think scammers will continue to adapt. If people have been in this market and forum for a long time, I think they must know how the character and project is a scam.
It is true that the turning point is in the middle of 2020 and it is certainly very memorable,
and when talking about scam projects as far as I can remember it has been around since maybe around 2017,
because with the increasing number of scam projects we have to do some research before joining,
especially for newbies so that later they don't get caught up in a scam project

you are right as of now many project are just coming to limelight with wrong motive and myopic roadmap, and it tends to be fascinating people fall for it and get scammed, my advise is to do thorough background check of the manager and probably the team before investing.

it is true what you have said now. because now is a big moment for con artists to act in various ways to be able to make money. Bitcoin is currently trending with exorbitant prices which makes many ordinary people want to dive into crypto for profit. but we advise beginners to be careful not to get into a scam project that currently has many types of scams.

Yes because we can't stop someone from scamming others because everyone love to get easy money.
What should we do is just increasing our Knowledge so we can avoid getting scammed.

Now scams are rapidly gaining popularity due to the use of the names of public people. People believe than invest and end up with nothing. But who will blame for this? If a coin loses its popularity and becomes not in demand, then it has no choice but to become a scam.
