Well, according to august price changes BTC is top crypto, because others just lost their value and BTC dominance is growing. I would better hold in BTC during this dump!

All cryptocurrency this month have experienced a very bad situation, and no one has survived, even the cryptocurrency axis like Bitcoin and Ethereum has fallen so deep, so now I have sold almost all the cryptocurrency I have.

There are good ones for sure but I sadly was not able to invest in any ico due to bear market and the loss I made, I can do nothing now.

I can't say that I have completed my research on Tezos, but from what I already know it looks like a very promising coin. It's not easy to write these words when you know that XTZ has dropped over 18% this day alone, but I believe that the team behind this project, namely Kathleen and Arthur Breitman, know what they are doing.
Apart from that, I trust in Ethereum, Stellar, Cardano, IOTA, and coins associateed with big exchanhes, like Binance Coin and Huobi Token.
Nothing is good because the market is still unstable. The value of the future is only on their accuracy. The market is still dependent on the prospects. But in my opinion the best ether is because the coin has many exchanges with other coins.

With such a bear market is very difficult at the moment to say for sure but you can buy good coins or tokens at a low price !
Maybe I think now the market situation is experiencing a price decline that is not very profitable, but for me this will be the best for investing and I prefer to choose bitcoin and ethereum because I believe this will be very profitable in the future and reach the value of the price extraordinary.

In my opinion, 2 top of cryptocurrency in August 2018 still bitcoin and ethereum, because bitcoin is still in the top position and leader of the cryptocurrency. but there are the other coins that can following bitcoin and this coin have the potential to increase higher. I still choose bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash, eos, cardano, xrp, iota, trx, litecoin, and monero. this coin is in the top twenty list from coinmarketcap, and each coin still competes until now. but if bitcoin does not increase, the other coin will not grow too, and it's waiting for bitcoin to gets up. But its my personal advice. It's all up to you to choose another coins.
If i were you i will choose ethereum,because it has good potentials, almost all altcoins depend on it,it as good as bitcoin, in my opinion i choose ethereum,follow by bitcoincash,litecoin and IOTA as top cryptocurrencies in August 2018
