If you registered to the site and gave a valid phone number they will actually call it. I have received a call to verify that you are a real person or maybe to minimize the spam because they are giving away 100TPLAY token.

I have received my 100TPLAY as promised in the site. The call that I have received had feedback and I think that the operator doesn't have a noise cancelation headset.

I believe they do this so people do not make multiple accounts so to claim the bonus given upon registration which is a valid reason why they would do it.
Those saying this condemns the reason behind anonymity should see what happens when those who didnt conduct some level of verification per account when giving bonuses from the other casino sites in the past couple years or so.
There were abuse going on and it drained the amount from those who were honestly actually wanting to try the casino out with those bonuses given.

BINGO!!! That's the exact point of view. The main idea of verification via cell-phone number is to filter scum accounts. As to the anonymity chain, most emails are verified with mobile info, so you may lose your anonymity at that point, before registration on our resource. The only point to collect cell-phone numbers is to simplify KYC procedure.

Basically phone number is not an effective tool to avoid scum accounts. It is simple to create fake phone numbers through application that can be used for everything although the number will be active for some short period of time if the user use the free mode of the service.

It is atleast some form of filter other then using email verification which one individual can have multiple accounts quite easily but for one person to have 10 phone numbers to just cheat the system is quite desperate to cash in on a giveaway. Most systems can detect when a phone number is not authentic just like when signing up for a google or mircosoft account where they do not accept talknow numbers for instance.

Using fake numbers won't work anyway since they will call your number and  get verified. There is also a way that a gambler could still give his/her number. What I mean is that I'll buy a new sim which it is very cheap in my country then I'll use it to register an account while my main number is not used at all. I don't know about the site about what phone numbers they will accept.
I don't think so, how about use a tool or an app to change their voice when teams call them to verify their phone number? They can use this way to make accounts as much as they want and get the register bonus. So its still has a possibility to people for cheating the site.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i have recently read your terms of service and regarding verification procedure i think this is not simple KYC because besides phone number people should be verified their accounts too by submitting KYC
I think many of us will leave the gambling website which uses verification procedure and they need to fill KYC because they don't want to send any document to the gambling websites.
So I think the OP could explaining about this and I hope that they will delete the verification process and make it a simple for the member. Besides that, I think with deleting the KYC process, it will make people feel comfortable to stay in that site, and they don't have to send anything except using email for the registration.

Main point of our project is not anonymity, main point is - transparency. We use blockchain to establish trustful cooperation between players and casino. Main idea is that you, as a player, have possibility to have access to all info and check honesty of casino.

Just as OP said it is just a simple KYC procedure why is there so much hatred when it part of their protocol since they are giving out a promo to minimize the scammer from collecting so much TPLAY.

I think that if they are not giving out TPLAY then you won't have to give your number but since there is a promo for the new user they need to clarify that only one user can claim the TPLAY that they are giving out.

but this is contrary to the fact that the owner wrote about the anonymity of the platform, a phone call destroys the whole chain of anonymity

I was about to make an account there but then changed my mind seeing the phone number as the only option to make an account (To get free tokens) .  I don't see the any need for you to ask for the phone numbers unless you have an hidden agenda of spying on gamblers.

Nevertheless, i like the name of your site, FAIR PLAY   Fairplay.io   Smiley

lol I don't think there is any agenda here. Especially if you are talking about spying on gamblers.
I think opening the account with phone numbers might be a low-level KYC to screen bots from real players. Many sites do it, even google does it.

I guess that many of us don't want to use their phone number to register on the gambling site and I think we could only use the email to sign up on their website.
Maybe the OP can change the registration process so we can feel comfortable to register using email only.

Why did the registration ask for phone number? Just change it OP email verification is the simpliest form of registration.
The site running smooth with a cool design and lay out but I'm not register to this site because of phone verification.
It isnt really that much yet registering with some phone verification isnt really a red flag at all unless if you are registering together with your personal info then it would be an another story.
I dont find problems on having phone verification. Site is pretty cool on my part.

Since many people are complaining about giving their phone numbers to the site, the admin should think of another option how to prevent those multiple accounts, in case, that is their main motive of why they are collecting those numbers.
There are many ways how to address this issue aside from asking for a phone number.
Also, a person nowadays can own several phones using different telecom providers. So I don't think that is the ultimate answer to block those cheaters.
I hope the dev team for this site will listen from the community's suggestion. Otherwise, they will lose potential players.

I'm sure OP will read your suggestion just wait a little bit for the respond I also waiting to change the phone verification.

I still don't support the necessity to ask for a phone number though because it comprises our privacy and that is not something that I am willing to give up especially for a new website like this one just for the sake of 100 tokens.

Replace the current verification system op if you wish to attract more gamblers.
