For trading on the exchange, certain knowledge and experience are necessary. Here you also need to be careful and start trading better with small amounts and with well-known coins. The main thing is not to take chances before getting the necessary experience.

You can try both, but without investing all the money at once, it'll be horrible idea for newbie.
Trading is more profitable, but no one could tell you how to trade right. Only practice will help you to understand.

If you are a newbie try learning about cryptocurrency trading and ICOs first. You shouldn't invest in something you don't know.

I believe now it's a perfect time to invest in good ICOs.. what does it mean? A competent development team is the most important point. You should know very good who is behind the project, their past projects... people are the key point of successful ICO.

Diversification is a conservative approach and you must know by now that crypto is not a conservative investment. So go all in with your bias and play profits right in the good sound investment. finally invest 70% more in stable ones.

IMO trading relly more profitable than investing in ICO. First of all you are not holding your money if you are trading. Second there are a lot of ICOs which do not meet their expectations.

It seems to me that you are not right. Investment in ICO projects are very risky. Besides, investing their money in ICO you can forget about them for a long time, but with active trading you can get profit faster.

For trading it will take a lot of time and even more effort that you will need to put in before you can expect any results. Most traders loose 70% of their invested money in crypto. On other hand if you invest in ICO , you need to do your research about hte project and team you are investing in.
Rather why not buy cheap alts such as etherium classic and waves for long term?

Hi, everyone. I got about $5000 to invest in crypto. Which one is more secure and profitable: trade crypto (yes, I'm a newbie) or invest in ICO?
I've made my own research and investing in several ICO's seems more attractive for me, but want to know your opinions Wink
In my opinion, trading is much much better than investing in several ICOs.  There are risk in trading but it will give you more profit than ICO. In trading you can earn daily. In ICO, you will earn once.

it would be better if a newbie choose to invest in ico, because, they usually have to invest in longterm investments, and dont need much experiences, however it is very risky because many ico are scam, so i think you should learn slowly how to invest wisely in an ico projects and carefully choose the ico before investing.

In my own status now if i choose between trading or ICO iv'e  rather to choose initial coin offering project because i have no capital to used in trading investment as now.maybe this ICO project is my first move, before i join in trading activities, in order to gain more profit for the purpose of achieving my dreams in life.

A combination of both works for me.

I do day trading and also invest in ICO's if I think it's worth investing in. So far, all the ICO's I invested in gave me a nice profit.

Make sure you do your own research before you invest in any ICO.

Trading is a little risky so I think I would recommend you to invest in ICOs. And there is also a lot of ICOs worth investing out there.
