Am I wrong or out of 53 people trading 2 have made a profit , 10 didn't trade and have the same amount and ...... around 40 have lost money?
You wrong.
Some people, like me, entered later in the game and received less money(9X dollar, the median)
I made some profit so far
that's a fair point actually, a column should be added to the spread with what everyone's starting USD balance was.
Why is that relevant? Do you suggest that those who entered late would not fall into that bull-trap in the beginning of the game like almost all of us? I thought it was a mistake to let people that were late in the game, and median result to start with was very fair, and now latecomers claim their $ is better than the $ from the rest of us?
TL;DR they shouldn't be let in the game in the first place.
The only reason I didnt get a starting balance of $100 is that when I saw this thread, I thought the price was too high. When I came back to buy, I had to take the median balance. I didnt realize you could reserve the 100usd (that makes no sense to me at all)
The point here is to profit. Excluding the initial 15 or so participants, who were all equally matched and wouldnt require a starting balance column, it's pretty clear if someone started now at $90 and got to $100, they did a hell of a job compared to the person sitting on $100 USD for the past 10 days.
those inactive ones with 100 USD will all soon loose money. Activity check is happening
and I understand that it doesn't feel 'fair', but in the long run, this will be the most fair way to add new people to the game.
I repeat: how would you feel if BTC took of on jan 1st to 500 USD and you would get 100 USD as starting balance while others made a lot of money?
The reason behind the "reserving" of 100 USD is that a median is very volatile when you only have a few players.
