Transgender people are mentally ill and are not sure what they will be able to do during military service or during real military operations. I believe that such people should not be allowed to serve in the army, because there can be unpredictable consequences.
I'd say they are usually weak minded and care too much about their looks. A soldier can't be a "pussy" or he'll put others at risk.
Just think of a situation when a transgender guy, that paid a lot of money for surgeries, gets a shrapnel in the face or in his new silicone tit. I'd expect a total mental breakdown from him at that moment. Wink

There need special conditions for them. This leads to increased costs. Why do they need if you have normal soldiers? I am not a supporter but Tump in this direction, I support it. The army is not a place where you can play in democracy.

I feel the US should just have two presidents, one Pres for everything gender/sex/SJW related, and the other Pres for the important stuff like diplomacy, grand strategy and economy.

There's like what? a total of less than 100 transgender in the whole country that want to join the military? If the President spend any time on this issue, it's a huge waste of resource and tax payer money. There are tons of more pressing and important issues facing the United States.

Reminds me of the President in the Philippines. Lashing out at America for stolen church bells during America's "pacification" of the Philippines while ignoring islands being taken, occupied and built on by China. These leaders need to think about the bigger stuff. That would be hugely better for everyone. Wink

This is what I never understood about the bathroom ban nonsense. For my 31 years on this Earth, I have never been in a restroom with a transgender person, nor do I know anyone who has. Furthering that, I have met a single actual transgender person; dude looks like a lady and to be real, you would not be able to tell. Bottom line is, transgendered folks, knowing the social climate they exist in, are pretty low key individuals. Aside from the fact they compose less than half of a percent of the human population. I dont like to see anyone get discriminated against, but truly there is more important shit to talk about at the moment, no?

If you want to get blown the fuck up for the government, by all means go ahead. I dont have the nuts for it, myself, so I respect anyone willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for hearth and home. They could have two heads and a tail, no fucks given. This is true patriotism; fighting for a country that doesnt want you there Wink

Yes, yes. In my country there are no such legislation, people just do what they need to do, it's not like they'll stay for an hour in the restroom. I've never seen a butch lesbian in the men's restroom but I've seen a gay in dress on one or two occasions and no man in there gave a fuck. I actually expected snickers when he/she left but there was none, they just don't care.

Back to the topic in America, I doubt if all those people crying out that trans people shouldn't be in the military ever plan joining. If they did, they'd be more respectful probably.

I have just read this article about Pres Trump not allowing transgender to serve in military
I respect transgenders as long as they are physically fit and can do their duty, there is no problem.

I think transgender can serve in military. As long as they are willing and dedicated to serve the country. As long as they wouldnt ask for special treatment that may hindder the job in serving the country.I respect them because i do believe that advancement or refinement of a country doesnt require gender.

Transgender and homosexuals in my understanding of mentally ill people. As such people can be trusted with a gun? Suicides among the military happen very often. Among the crazies this phenomenon will spread much more often. They have nothing to do in the army.

100% agree.   I wouldn't want someone that is likely suicidal covering me in combat.   Almost 50% have attempted suicide that is reason enough to ban them.   That statistic alone disqualifies them.   Hell when I tried to join the military 15 years ago I was disqualified because of asthma.   Gtfo here with this nonsense that they are just like everyone else.

Actually I agree with your opinion, but if seen from the aspect of their skills great, why not?

This is a good decision. Because if they are drafted in to the army, then the transgenders will ask for special privileges such as separate toilets for them. And the military might find it hard to accommodate all their demands. When they decide to become transgenders, these people forfeit certain rights. The possibility of becoming a soldier is one of those rights.

Well I guess that won't happen. How sure are you that they will ask for that? In the first place, Military had discipline Transgender or not they will follow the rules. Transgenders are normal people too, why does military would have a hard time to accommodate their needs? Military do certain rules and regulations that applies to both men and women. If they decide to become a transgenders, that does mean they can't serve their country? Is that what you are trying to say? Becoming a soldier should not be based from sexuality and beliefs. Once you entered the military you all have the same code, which to serve and protect.

So which restrooms are they going to use? They can't use the ladies' restrooms, as the female soldiers would object to it. Anyway, how can someone with a penis be allowed inside a ladies' restroom, just because they claim that they are female on the inside? If the army ask them to use the gents' restroom, then these people are not going to obey.

I think that this rule is stupid, people of all gender or race should be able
to serve their country if they are physically and mentally capable for the job.

But I am not sure whether these transgenders are mentally capable of serving in the army. When they are not sure about their gender, how can they fight in the frontline? The only place where they should be serving is in mental hospitals, and not in the army barracks.

Actually, the leftist propaganda machines promulgated directives that specified transgender was a priority topic. This was helped by the "American bathroom ban." This fake "controversy" had a goal and a purpose, to keep people from discussing important things.

It was and is a sideshow and a distraction.

I think as a person
A transgender citizen is also entitled to defend his country and join in the army, but as a state agency, the military also has their own rules in which to become a soldier must have strong physical as well as strong mental and psychological, while a transgender not necessarily have a mental And strong psychological as normal human in general.
Sorry, this is just an opinion, I do not hate a transgender as a human being.

As long as you have the will and the heart to serve the country, you should be given a chance to do so. Even if you're a transgender or not, gender shouldn't be an issue in this case.

I agree. A long as they are not asking for any special benefits, and as long as they are not causing any discomfort to their fellow soldiers, they should be allowed to serve (although I doubt how practical will that be).
