Now, are you the developer IN CHARGE of this coin? If so, what is in it for you?
I mean, I appreciate the initiative and could support it... if, huge IF, there's a plan to make something, of this coin.
As a matter of fact, it could easily be the first in the WALL OF HONOR I am trying to create (as a counter to the WALL OF SHAME). But the barriers of entry are that you have to prove, without any margin for doubt, your interest, your holdings, and your plan. All in the open.
If people is to support Honorcoin, they need to know that they will not be victims, again, of another fraud. Your association with a proven and repeated fraudster like Templar 77 (Carlos R. Torres Ferguson) is definitely a step in all the wrong directions and best case scenario an indication of unjustifiable ignorance.
If you delete this post, it will make it's immediate entry in the WALL OF SHAME. Your opportunity. Your call. You are being put on notice. The times of total impunity are over.

I had no clue who this guy was. We were looking for help with all the aspects of coin development. Thank you for bringing this to our attention an we will not do any business with him.

they have lost a lot of btc trading it and now feel very bad
But in fact it is our fault this happened
we throw btc on things in the hope of huge wins
All those people took time to change their signatures and to promote this coin
None of them took a look at the source (especially the commit history)
It was all documented on github and took 5min to figure out that this was clearly a scam
the initial commit was a 1:1 clone of the dreamcoin source https://github.com/dx11/Dreamcoin
then a few commits to change the logo and other images
and a commit to change the seednodes
He didn't even take the time to adjust the coin properties in src/main.h to what was written in the announcement thread
obviously no development effort went into this coin
So there is still a lot of work left to make this coin even meet the claimed properties
so I don't see the point of keeping it any longer alive
I can't tell you what to do with it
but I will take this as a lesson and move on

Hi guys, as you know I was very skeptical about the previous dev and that's was my fortune. But I confess that I liked the name of the coin and the hot community. I'm a little fish, but I m buying: what does not kill you it makes you stronger. So I'll look with sincerely interest here. Two things:
1) I agree for restore the coin and make a change 1:1 with a new honorcoin but:
- before to go to the exchanges
- don't forget that those who have a wallet that doesn't work - like me - will can send the coins only from the own exchange ( I have my coins on bittrex)
2) I hope that you'll work to make this coin innovative ( so no one will can say that it is just a copy and paste)

Zerocoin has been here for a while, but
no one to my knowledge has got it to work.
Still coins keep adding that code to give impression
to the users that anonymity features are just around
the corner.

that has nothing to do with zerocoin.. to my understand its used for minting of coins. all PoS coins have this in there src at least all PoS coins I have used.

The old Dev ran away with the Free Distribution coins and sold them.. and when you do the math Free Distribution would have been less then 1000 a person. Who ran away with our money was investors like myself who shit our pants and sold.. Now I have too buy everything back. Good luck to the new Dev team..

I think people should contact the adminstrator of BCT to close the old thread in case of someone pump it and cause terror.
I did send a message but they wont take it down.
You can have them lock it, and it will disappear into the archives. The last post being a post here. There is plenty of proof to back-up the abandonment of the thread by the dev. Including his own removal of the source-code and twitter. But remember, BCT seems to like when alt-coins suffer like this, they are BTC fans, not alt-coin fans. (Ironic that without alt-coins, BTC would not be where it is today. Which was also the purpose of BTC in the first place, to be cloned and made better.)
