What's the problem with warning people about the possibility of a wallet stealing trojan? it's not unthinkable by any means.

i never install shit in my computer. is my wallet safe while encrypted?

If I'm not mistaken, this virus pre-date's the Bitcoin client's wallet encryption feature, so very likely that would be sufficient to thwart it. Although it would no doubt be possible to make a virus that also incorporates a keylogger.

again: please stop thanking the author and bumping this thread! It is almost a year old if you have not noticed. Thank you. Anyway there is no information in it besides FUD and link to some unidentified software. (what is it anyway?). I wonder why it was not locked a long time ago already...

I've spotted at least 3 - However from what I can see you're entirely safe if you've got your wallet encrypted.

KeePass is an open source password manager. One of my favorite utilities. NEVER type another password. 98% of successful virus/malware infections occur when a keylogger program is secretly installed on your hard drive. This 'logger' then records every keystroke and 'emails' them back to the attacker, who then has user names and passords to every single website/app you do business with (ebay, paypal, your banks, bitcoin).

Be Safe. Right down important passwords (pencil, paper) and keep them in a safe. A locked safe.
And use KeePass. Remember one password for all your passwords.
Learn about and use Key files too. A hacker would need both the password and the keyfile to access your passwords.
