in every pyramid scheme newbies get creamed somwhere sometime ...
even denied by everybody , as not having been intended....
disguised in subtile ways you are being taken care of by the early hero adopters
but left with some expierience Wink

Like your topic title says "Trust No One", I think that is a good thing to remember for everyone. Even though they are new members or old members, what if the person are in money trouble and run away and scam you? Everyone could turn bad in seconds.

-Trust no one but OP.
-Don't trust OP.
-Trust no one but OP.
-Don't trust OP.

Help, I'm stuck in an infinite loop!

Always start trusting when trusting yourself !!!

Paranoia can be reserved when you are too rich in BTC to be trusted by yourself anymore as OP explained Wink

Paranoid you should be about your fucking world reserve currency and all the misery it causes for the planet !!!

Put those depleting reseve crooks behind iron bars , kill the creature from Jekyll island, instead of disolving our trust in each other.

That is the huge asset of bitcoin and this forum.......i can´t conceive but really think pirate40 should be minted on some future BTC physical bills or coins if he is

able to resist defrauding people by his scheme.......he need not, if finally just coming up with the right story.....we live in interesting times indeed.

This is pretty paranoid. I've invested thousands into GLBSE funds and with forum members. Most people with 200 or more posts are not here to scam people. Like anything else its not a good idea to invest more then you can afford to lose.

I think being skeptical is critical to success in a hostile environment.  I'm not to say the BTC community is hostile itself, rather just online financing should be as rigorously treated as offline ones (if not more).

Thanks for the info, I was ready to jump in and get started but I'm starting to think I'll sit bit and try to work out the lay of the land first.

Thats true , but sometimes you need to build contacts to create links , because i have made some good links to be able to sell and buy currency and in online business i need currency.

Thanks,
Just like solid money, you'd never give some stranger your wallet.
I have my pittance online with blockchain,
I'll get an offline wallet right now.

The lack of legal  regulation increase the risks. If legal protections arise it will lose some of is nice features for it !

MtGox froze my account because I used a different IP than usual... certainly not trusting them anymore, as they won't let me withdraw a measly 2BTC.
