Paranoia is not an illness, especially not when shady people are involved.

But just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you?

..... or does it?

Heck, even when you know people they still will try to rob you, so why would you trust someone you don't know?

Thank you for the advice. As always one should consider the risk vs the reward (or cost). Being careful and aware is necessary but not at the exclusion of going forward. If you feel that you've been scammed and so all others must be scammers you've fallen for what humans fall prey too often: over-generalization. Keep balance and you'll be fine.

Trust seems to be the reason that the previous economic system has totally failed. (Some) people are untrustworthy; and always will be.

I believe there are levels of safety and trust that are inherent in any economic system/society. Trust is hard to determine behind a white screen that is barely an inch think (computer screen that is), however, bear in mind that most of us at one point or another have gone to a bank teller. You know, the person barely making $25,000 a year who has complete access to your bank credit cards, account and savings numbers, mortgage and car loan. The matter of trust is relative. They are paid to smile at you, not paid to be trusted. This seems to also be the case in the Bitcoin world. There must be some level of trust for it to work, but foolishness will end in exploitation. I believe the poster is offering up an intelligent guideline to maintain that balance.

Be smart about it. Keep honest, but trust your instincts.

Tis all for now,
