Hello there! In fact, TrustDice does not take withdrawal fees, what you pay is the blockchain fee, which depends on the Bitcoin network. Normally, when BTC price goes up, the transaction fee goes up too because more people want to make transactions. You can check the details
here.
How do you explain that? Here is the fee that was deducted from me on withdrawal:
0.00001271 BTCHere is the screenshot of the cashout transaction. Here you can clearly see that my cashout was sent with:
0.00000304 BTCYou state that you are not taking any withdrawal fee and I only need to pay the blockchain fee. The blockchain fee of my wihdrawal is
0.00000304 BTC.
0.00001271 - 0.00000304 = 0.00000967 BTCSo where is my money? Who has stolen 0.00000967 BTC from me?Thanks for asking such a good question!
Due to the high volatility of the gas market, in a small number of cases we are unable to predict the exact fee – remember there is a time gap between the withdrawal request and the actual transaction. Nevertheless, when this happens, the fee won't change much from the one on the withdrawal page, for example, in your case, the final fee was even lower!
TrustDice differs from other casinos that usually charge high withdrawal fees. For instance, Stake has a fixed BTC fee of fee is 0.00007 per withdrawal. In this way, players can avoid the blockchain high volatility, but that does not mean it's beneficial, since the casinos' fees are mostly higher than the transaction fee TrustDice players have to deal with.
You did not answer my question. Where is my 0.00000967 BTC? You did not use it to send the money, you did not compensate my account either.
It looks like that you have taken something, that does not belong to you.
I understand that 0.00000967 BTC is not a big deal, but this whole situation goes in confrontation with your marketing story.
If you state, that only the blockchain fee is deducted, then you need to think about how to organize the cashout process to follow this statement.
If you cannot predict the exact fee, then please stop false advertising that you take no extra fees, because it is not true.
Hello GamblingBro,
To answer your question, I just got back from the product team with more details: due to the blockchain's high volatility, in some cases, the gas fee at the time of withdrawal request is not the same as the gas fee of the actual transaction – there could be a time gap between the withdrawal request and the actual transaction. Therefore, sometimes the final gas fee is a bit less, and sometimes it is a bit more. But regardlessly, at TrustDice, the players always pay much less for withdrawals than they do at most other crypto casinos.
Remember: we do not make any money from withdrawal fees - as sometimes we pay more, and sometimes we pay less to the blockchain. In essence, it is caused by the nature of blockchain volatility, and the delay happens beyond anyone's control. Yet still, if you believe we should instead charge a fixed withdrawal fee like most crypto casinos, which will be higher than the gas fee itself, I will forward this to the product team as a piece of customer opinion.
